Glen Abbey is a brand new facility and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL - we could not believe how nice it was. Unfortunately it would have been about a 35 minute drive for us and that was just too far. The area in Canton it is in is also pretty congested, especially during rush hour times so it would have been harder to get to.

I do wish they could have an activity plan for each of the weekend days - because there is not much going on those days. They have had some staffing issues but I know that is across the board with these types of facilities. I would recommend Ludington Woods to others looking for memory care.

Good community, too far from family.

The gal who was giving us the tour was WONDERFUL and so nice. When we were walking around though, the other staff members would not make eye contact with me or greet me. It just did not seem like they liked their job and these were the people who would have been taking care of mom. I liked the look of the facility itself but I did not love the room, they were outdated and more institutional feeling.

The activities are absolutely wonderful! However the meals and dining service can use some improvement we hear a lot of complaints from residents surrounding the meals. When our loved one first moved in they had a really great chef that made all these wonderful meals and now the meals are just kind of "yuck." It is a nice community but could use a little tweaking here and there.

Anthology of Farmington Hills was not open yet, so we toured in the sales office. The staff we met were fine, and Anthology was our second choice. They just simply weren't open yet during the timeframe we needed them, and the location was farther from our family.

Friendly staff. New ownership, so I don't know what will be changing, if anything. They did repair parking lot issues. The facility is about 15-18 years old. Some renovating may be in order? They have eliminated the bus. Not sure if this is permanent. That is an issue for some residents. And it was a good "selling point" for the community. Allow the chef to have "healthy choice options" labeled and marked on the menus.

Harborchase is a very nice place to live. New, clean and the staff is very good. It is close to all amenities in Cordova which is key. The lobby, dining room are very inviting for guests. My mother really likes it.

The one thing I would recommend to others is that you follow up with staff to make sure that the care is being provided in the way that you requested. I would recommend Anthology of Novi to other families.

I had parents who lived at Grandhaven for a couple of months, then another after about 2 years. Overall the place was great. The staff worked very hard and truly cared about my parents. It was a loving atmosphere. Business staff was tough to contact at times.

Our church leads a weekly worship service at StoryPoint. I live next door and often walk over to eat in the Bistro. My teenager serves residents in the evenings as part of the wait staff. StoryPoint is an important part of our community and an important part of our lives. We love our neighbors at StoryPoint.

They have a great activities program at Candlestone Assisted Living and Memory care.

The bathroom on the first floor is so heavy, that you can't open it with a walker.

The efforts of staff members doing a good job make this a nice place live to live.

Staff and residents are friendly. Very clean and accomodating to residents. Great with activities. I love the weekly housekeeping, and lines that are provided. I use the free transportation because I gave up driving.

[name removed], who led our tour, was very helpful. He even helped me get set up with hospice care, even though my loved one didn't end up going there. The people at Grand Village were wonderful.

Wescourt was great. But the third-party caretaker company oversold their ability to also provide hospice care. They are great people but she just needed more care than they were able to provide. I think if she was in better shape she would have been able to enjoy the experience here more.

Overall we've had a good experience at Provision Living of Canton. We had a rough start in the beginning due to transfer of ownership prior to us moving our loved one in. But things are good now, and we're happy with it. It's a brand new building and well kept. And the staff is incredibly caring.

I had a very good impression on the tour. The facility just seemed a little bit larger than we were looking for. Then I was less impressed when they called to follow up. The lady who called had me confused with somebody else and said they had no record of meeting with me. She was completely unaccommodating to sort out the mix-up, which was kind of a turn-off. I do know a couple of people who have family members there, and they like it. But it just wasn't for us.
