The interaction with the staff has been great. We picked this community because it was something that we were community. Overall, we are very happy. It would be nice if they offered more intellectual activites. They need more staff in the dining/kitchen. I would recommend to other families.

Our family had an in person tour with StoryPoint Saline and it was fairly new which was good and that "newness" was appealing and the staff was very nice. However it did remind us of a large hotel and we thought my Dad would become easily lost.

Anthology of Novi is a very nice facility - now like all facility they are understaffed in the dining room and maintenance Like all facilities, understaffed in the dining room & maintenance. It would have been nice to have either a staff member or resident council member show my Dad around after he moved in. The housekeeping is very good, they come in once a week and are very experienced with older people (patient and not not react when older person is upset). The staff members are very friendly. My dad has a very short fuse and tends to get upset very easily. He is good at yelling and not good at apologizing. Anthology of Novi handled it very well when some residents raised concerns. Both the Executive Director and Front Desk spoke to me privately. My siblings and I are working with my Dad on that aspect. High praises for Anthology of Novi in this area. My Dad resides in a Independent Living Apartment so he does not get any care. Anthology of Novi is set up as a Tenant/Landlord Relationship for it's Independent Living Community. The value is absolutely the best value. Anthology of Novi is similarly priced to other Senior Communities but offers much, much more. Anthology of Novi was "Heads & Shoulders" above the other 7 Senior Communities I toured. Highly, Highly Recommend. Lots of activities including weekly ice cream socials, entertainment, games, crafts and the ever popular "Wine Wednesday's" and "Friday Happy Hour". Those are great. Food is outstanding. Wide variety of food served. All day menu available with items that can be ordered anytime. One Big, Big Plus is that meals are served 7am-7pm. Residents can eat at anytime. This is the only Senior Community I researched that offered this option. Plus each unit has a full kitchen The meals/dining is very impressive. Easy for visitors to also have a meal with the resident. Just charged to the resident. One last big plus was when my Dad kept asking for "seconds". I spoke with the Executive Director and now my Dad gets double portions, for a small upcharge, which is great.

I would tell others looking into Beaverdale Estates that they do not have wrap around care. The main reason we chose this facility over others we had looked at initially was because of the price point for what you get and also the studio apartment that they had available had a door going to the outside. I would recommend Beaverdale Estates to others looking for independent living.

While we did choose Provision Livonia, on the day my father was supposed to move in, he was hospitalized for emergency surgery. He was not able to move in. They were kind enough to give us a full refund, with a little persuasion.

I toured with Dominion Senior Living of Hixson and I felt that this facility was too large and had too many residents and, therefore, my mom would not get the amount of care and attention she required

Very friendly staff, nice amenities. Once my dad was moved in, a number of services were removed & many staff were let go, so he didn't feel what he was paying for was as advertised. My dads biggest impression was how homey it felt there. I would recommend to others.

The issue I have with the food is if you don't want to eat in the dining room, they charge you to package the food to take to your room. I think that should be free! My loved one has a corner unit and there is extra room for a studio, it is plenty big. I did not see any of the other room sizes that they have to offer. Overall we are very happy that we chose Holiday Wescourt.

Our family had an in person tour with StoryPoint Collierville and we really like did like the community and the tour but StoryPoint didn't have an option for care if it was needed at some point for our loved one.

The care at Independence Village of Aurora has very been good. The staff are attentive, responsive and friendly. My mother is gluten free, and that has been a challenge that we're trying to work through.

Independence Village of Carmel is a nice place. The residents LOVE the on-site physical therapy providers who have been there quite awhile and are very caring! All the staff treat the residents, and their guests, with great respect.

Our family had an in person tour with StoryPoint Gahanna and they were really nice tour experience but for our loved one, they were all more active and all included independent living. There was a memory care unit but it was usually small part of the total community, so it appeared to have less focus.

It's a nice facility, and they just remodeled it. They have nice housing, and offer good meals. They have problems with keeping help. There has been a change in staff. My loved one has had good care. They are trying different things to see if her condition will improve. The people are nice. They offer special events for the residents. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

The staff there is mostly good and my main contact person, [name removed], is excellent. I can always talk to her about any issue and she will try to resolve. Overall, the experience has been good. But like so many other health provider systems, it's hard for StoryPoint to have good consistent help both with caregiving and with food service. They are sometimes short staffed. They often rely on agency help but this is not consistent. It takes a while to get staff trained and they are often gone before that happens. This is especially true on the weekends. I know the facility is aware of this and are trying to get a better staff. Some staff members are excellent but they are moved around the facility a lot.

I toured with Creekside at Shallowford and it seemed to be a very nice place I liked a lot. I spoke with my daughter though and the price was just not going to be good for me.

My mom first arrived at the facility, she was so bombarded with so much information. And having the information was good, but nobody specifically said and pointed out that what they talk about with Activities is on page so-and-so in the booklet and what they talk about with meals is in page so-and-so in the booklet, etc. We had no idea at first that all the information was written down and it was simply an oral presentation of what was mentioned to my mom. Also, it should be mentioned that anybody who moves in on a weekend will not have much guidance and that moving in on a weekday will provide access and explanation for activities, self storage units, etc. The food is rather good- great that many choices are offered. Too much of the meat sadly was tough instead of tender. And I recommend that dinner times be posted on the monthly calendar since they vary - some days 5:00, one 4:30, one 12:00. Things we very much liked- the lovely and comfortable feel of IV overall, the layout of the room and the lovely and comfortable feel of the room, the variety and number of activities offered :)

There are a lot of good things I could say about Independence Village of Pella, but I will focus on four: 1) The common areas are clean, cozy, and welcoming. The immediate impression that I got the first time I walked in was of a "country-themed" hotel, it looks like the lobby of a nice Country Inn & Suites. Always beautifully decorated for holidays and seasons. 2) The food is fantastic. At every meal there are delicious options to choose from. My dad is fairly particular about his food, and even he remarks about how good it is. 3) The staff recognizes that every resident's needs are unique, and they find ways to address those individual needs. I have had so many occasions where a staff member went above and beyond to help my parents. The staff keeps family members in the loop and is responsive. 4) There are plenty of activities if residents want to participate, but if they don't, that's fine too. There is no rigid structure here, so it truly feels "independent."

It has been a home where I feel safe and comfortable. It has opportunities for exercise. [name removed] is very qualified. I hope we don't loose him.

They have different levels of care, which is nice as loved ones progress in level of needs. The food, the Chef, is AMAZING! Activities everyday throughout the day. Most staff are caring and personable.
