I am fairly new, one month to be exact. The people who live here are very friendly, as well as the staff! My main reason for coming here was that I was in need of extra help and I did not want to go to assisted-living. They have a program called CorsoCare that has been a great benefit to me. They also have a great therapy department and Doctor on premises. This will be my forever home. I must not forget to say that we have three nice meals a day and no dirty dishes to do!

What I like the most about the StoryPoint community is the warmth and safety, and staff. The food is quite tasty! The Outings are great! The transportation to Health Appointments

As a guest, I could not be more impressed!! Meals are creative and well above expectations. The staff seems to know what you are about to ask before you ask, and have excellent and timely delivery. If being busy, with many choices for you to participate, you will be extremely pleased. Keeping in mind I am only a guest, My spouse, Susan, has been here three days and feels the exact same way. My husband is a resident in Memory Care. I was very scared when we came to this decision to move him here. The first time I walked through the front door on my initial visit, I was amazed by the facility and the employees here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and that made me feel like we had found the right place. It’s beautiful and immediately I felt he would be safe here. There’s an open door policy to come and visit your loved ones whenever you want. I appreciate being called by my first name when I visit. Some of the employees go out of their way to make you feel like family. There are so many activities for the residents to participate in and I have on occasion, joined in. I look forward to sharing these times with my sweet husband . The administration, nurses, care partners, therapist for PT& OT, activity directors, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff and many more make this place a very desirable home for my loved one. Words do not do it justice!

The staff were all so helpful and aware of their residents’ needs. They were polite and very helpful. The facility was observed to be clean and welcoming. There was no hesitation to meet the needs or the wants of the residents.

The staff here are truly caring and compassionate. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they genuinely care about the people they serve. They are attentive, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. The cleanliness of the facility is absolutely amazing. The cleaners do a fantastic job keeping everything spotless, fresh, and welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it really shows throughout the entire building. On top of that, the food is great! The meals are well-prepared, tasty, and thoughtfully put together. Overall, this is a wonderful place with dedicated staff, excellent cleanliness, and enjoyable food. Highly recommended!

The staff does a wonderful job creating a friendly and welcoming environment for everyone. They are always kind, attentive, and willing to help, which makes a big difference day to day. The dining service is also fantastic, with flavorful meals, great options, and a team that provides excellent service at every meal.

Wonderful spot for my loved one! Worth every penny! Facility is clean, neat and cheerful. Rooms are plenty. Hallways are ready to navigate. Staff are all happy and helpful. I can tell they really like working here. Highly recommend

Office and staff in general are very open and friendly, all questions or problems are addressed immediately. I’ve lived here for 16 years and I love it here. Management is always available to answer any questions or concerns. We have had a water break that has caused some inconvenience but is being repaired. Previous owners would just patch the problem but Storypoint is fixing it right so repairs are taking a little longer than expected. They are also remodeling the building and apartments. Takes a little patience and understanding that the building will be better for everyone.

My father has residing at Danbury Mt. Vernon since 2022. He has dementia and can no longer live alone. He has the perfect apartment where he and his little dog live. The staff keep a very good eye on him and keep him pointed in the right direction at all times. The meals are fantastic, healthy with a huge variety. The nursing staff are very informative and communicate with me often. There are so many different activities to get involved in, you can pick and choose what you enjoy the most. I truly cannot say enough good things about this facility. If you are in need, you should seriously consider visiting the and meet Kim, she will give you the official tour and I am sure you will be sold!!

There is always something going on at this community. It’s the most active senior living community I have seen. All the staff are smiling and willing to help. All the residents are smiling and always on their way to the next activity. It’s a great place to maintain independence, stay active and get support if needed.

They have great staff and site manager! The food is overcooked.

The wait staff (high schoolers usually) who waited on the tables at mealtimes were very attentive and made sure the residents received what they wanted. All the attendants who checked on residents were very kind. They made sure to call us when there was a problem.

I am a Geriatric Care Manager and I recently took a client of mine to tour Independence Village. We originally planned to tour one community a week, however, my client immediately fell in love with this community and put down a deposit the same day. She loved the look and feel of the community and especially the friendliness of the staff and residents. I have seen this add so much excitement to her future and readiness for her move in [Date Removed]! She is especially grateful to not have all the home maintenance!

Our family found Independence Village during a very difficult time, and we couldn’t be more grateful. [Name Removed] was a complete God-send. She stepped in immediately, helped us secure a spot for our family member, and walked us through every step with constant communication and genuine care. Even after move-in, [Name Removed]continued to check in and make sure everything was going well—she truly went above and beyond. [Name Removed] has also been incredible. She is always available, communicates clearly, and brings such a calm, reassuring presence. She truly cares about both residents and their families, and it shows in everything she does. We were honestly scared going into this, but Independence Village exceeded every expectation. [Names Removed]—thank you will never be enough.

Overall, this is a lovely assisted living community that combines a comfortable setting with compassionate staff and pleasant atmosphere.

I was truly impressed. The space is beautifully decorated and feels warm and welcoming. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax throughout the building, along with cozy fireplaces that make the atmosphere feel especially inviting. What stood out most, though, was the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, approachable, and clearly cares about the residents. It’s obvious that a lot of effort goes into creating a pleasant and supportive environment here. Overall, this community feels like a wonderful place to call home.

I was looking at for my stepmom , what an amazing place and staff unfortunately with the care that is needed she cannot move at this time .

The staff are very caring and considerate of residents. The building is clean, updated and it looks more like a hotel than a facility. They have interactive activities for the residents, and happy hour with live music once a week. Everyone is very kind and I believe the Village is a wonderful environment for Mom or Dad to feel safe and loved.

I like the people I live with and the staff members. I love all the activities we do. The food is good. I’ve lived here a little over a year. Housekeeping and maintenance is great. The manager is really good and so is the reception.
