One of the most striking things about Danbury is the commitment of the staff to treating each resident with dignity, kindness, and respect. It is obvious that great effort is taken to provide a clean comfortable atmosphere, good food, and attention to the physical and emotional needs of residents. Also, the staff is very willing to work with families on how to best care for their loved one. While it is difficult to release the care of a family member to someone else, Danbury made this process much easier for us.

Meeting with the people that work at Story Point South -5 Have not had a bad experience. A friend (neighbor) gave me the place to look into that has her father there so had heard that they were very happy. , I would recommend to others. I feel that they really care about my mother. I feel that she's in safe hands.

Everyone is so friendly. Lots of activities. Food is good. I feel very comfortable that my mother is in a safe place.

My Mom has been there for 4+ years. She has often remarked, " How did you all find this place?" (Mom asks this because she use to visit people in other facilities and often felt sorry for them.) Story Point is a beautiful place that has an incredibly caring staff. Mom says, "The people here are so nice to me!" The staff makes sure that Mom gets her medicine each day and she gets to choose her meals. (They have a chef there that oversees the food.) There are daily activities she can participate in and trips she can go on. They also have church services, musical entertainment and activities to earn treats. This is truly an amazing place!

We had a lot of help moving in, such as furniture assembly and family being able to stay in a nice guest room. The residents have been very welcoming and he has already made friends.

The cleanliness it's very updated in the variety of activities to do. Everyone there seems extremely happy which is important for well-being. The staff seems extremely nice and willing to help with whatever needs you have.

[Name Removed] is such a gem. She setup a wonderful lunch with residents that my father could talk to. We were able to see all of the amenities while we were onsite as well as a few rooms. She is an excellent communicator.

My father has lived at storypoint for almost two years the staff is very friendly and caring. I feel very good about my father’s experience. The staff encourages my dad and is involved in his art projects. The director and her staff are friendly and always available when we have had questions.

I recently visited a good friend in StoryPointe West. I was immediately impressed with the overall appearance, decor, cleanliness and the warmth of the entire staff as I passed them in the hallway. I looked at the menu posted outside the dining room and was impressed with the quality and variety of the food offered for the dinner menu. The activity for the day was listed and it again, was so impressive. My friend was equally happy with her new environment and the staff. The room was very spacious and well laid out. It had a modern kitchen with all of the appliances. I would highly recommend this assisted living facility without hesitation.

This facility and staff are wonderful. Dad was a long-time resident in the Independent Living portion of the facility. He also had a garage in the basement for his vehicle. He greatly enjoyed the ability to come and go as he pleased. For many years, he went to "work" in his local shop six days a week. As he progressed in age, and his health declined, he was able to move to the Assisted Living portion of the facility. This was very handy for us to move him as we did not need to even leave the building. He was in Assisted Living for a little over 4 months before his passing. The care staff was very good with him, even getting him to actually socialize. The chef and kitchen staff prepares excellent meals. Being able to have on-site medical care was also nice when he got difficult to transport. [Names Removed] were very kind, supportive, and understanding during this whole process.

My parents who are both long time residents of Strongsville, did not want to leave the area, found their new home at StoryPoint Strongsville. StoryPoint offers meals, laundry, beauty, religious, therapeutic (both physical and mental)activities, cleaning and so much more. They have maintained my parents independence and have given them a new circle in their social life. StoryPoint even assists with onsite therapy and care assistance if needed.

The staff are great. They respond quickly to calls. The facility is clean, welcoming, and smells great. The food is very good. I don’t eat meat and they accommodate that with no problems. I enjoy all the activities. They make sure I get to any appointments I have. We also have outings which I enjoy. I also enjoy the fitness programs as well as movie nights.

Overall a 5 rating except for food. Excellent staff, environment is cheerful looking and kept up, the design of the dining area is very nice.

We have been so pleased with all the amenities and staff at StoryPoint Germantown. My mom (82, early dementia) is enjoying the many activities and friendship there. The staff is always keeping me informed of the happenings and always willing to help Mom with little issues, like her phone or tv. This has been the perfect balance of independence in her apartment, and additional eyes on her without the need to have sitters. We highly recommend, especially if your loved one is living alone and would enjoy the company of others. It is more like a cruise ship on land than an assisted living! Don't miss sharing the live entertainment every Friday afternoon with your loved one. [name removed] brings in engaging and entertaining local talent.

When I toured the facility, I found the people that lived there and the staff to be very friendly and happy. The food smelled really good too.

We love the staff and how warm and caring they are to everybody. They are always doing fun things and taking the seniors places. We love it there and we are so glad we picked it there. More importantly, my mom loves being there. That's her new home. What we love about the place is they're always having something and if we are there visiting, they include us in everything like if they have coffee latte day or eaten on there once a month brunches it is free to the people that live there and we still sit in with my mom and her group. Plus the people that live they all look out for each other, which is really nice. Easter is coming and they have a big to do with the Easter bunny and an Easter egg hunt. Every holiday is very special there the only thing I could say is if I was to live there as when I got older, I would love it there!! We had my mom's 90th birthday right at Storypoint in their bistro. It was fabulous and our whole family was there to enjoy her special birthday. Storypoint made it extra special.

Every time we have visited this center we have been impressed. The entire community feels like one big family. The facility is always clean, and the staff is always offering a smile and assistance and truly make you feel welcome. They have activities planned throughout the week and there is always a cheery and bright feeling among the staff and residents.

After taking a tour and seeing the rooms and activities, I can understand the smiles on the residents faces! [Name Removed], the executive director, is always willing to go the extra mile for her residents. I have seen the staff walking the resident’s dogs on bad weather days, hooking up their televisions, and keeping the residents engaged in activities. Speaking of activities there is so much for them to do, exercise class, crafting, and happy hour to name a few. They have regular special outings the residents can sign up for, like touring the glass blowing store in East Jordan. They have an amazing maintenance man,[Name Removed]who treats the folks there like family! Anytime there is an issue, [Name Removed] is quick to get it fixed no matter how big or small. It is difficult to trust a place for an elderly family member, but Independence Village has my vote 100%

Met with [Name Removed] who handles the room occupancy, also met with [Name Removed] the Executive director, who was very informative. I also got to see [Name Removed] the maintenance supervisor doing his best to keep things running smoothly! I would have no problem leaving my Father in a place like this should the need arise to, it is a gorgeous place. Also saw lots of activities going on!
