They need to let people know of rent costs for additional people. We were ready to sign the lease when we discovered that there was a second person fee for my mom that was $[removed] a month. That pushed us way out of our budget. Apparently they need a new chef... I just hear my dad say that the food isn't good most of the time and they eat the groceries I buy.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I like the maintenance of the apts, they were in good shape.

Enjoyed the friendliness and cleanliness

I would say the staff is super friendly, but there's been quite a bit of turnover since we've arrived. The meals are not what we were promised, but Mom says they're slowly getting better.

The place was new and beautiful. The people were kind and friendly. Administrators. Very helpful. The actual care was hit and miss. They did not have enough workers. They made me think they were a 24 hour care facility. And what I understood was that somebody would be there to assist and help. There is only one person there on the Night Shift and I don't believe that they checked on my dad as often as they said they did or would. We paid the top amount because of his situation. Which also made me think that they would give him more attention. It's a learning experience. I will know more than next time.

Our loved one is choosing not to participate in the activities. However, the food is definitely top notch! The employees are very accommodating and sweet and based on the experience we have had we would recommend this community to others.

It is a newer facility so cleaner that others. The new Director and Nursing directors are making changes that needed to be make before we moved in that continued to be problems during our first year. They are committed to making it the top community in the area. They food has improved. While there are still issues, I believe we are in a better position than we would have been anywhere else.

One thing that I found very helpful here is when I need help the caregivers are quick to respond. I also appreciate that the hallways and rooms are kept clean. Also, grateful that I do not have to do my cooking or my laundry. I did find it challenging when I first arrived that medications are handled by the pharmacy through assistive living. I have been in the hospital 4 times in the past few months since living here so medication have been a challenge.

Our loved one did not participate in the activities. The cost increased 3 times in less than a year. In some cases I really could not justify the level of care cost difference when hospice was doing most of the work for the last 4 months, and even though she worsened in health, I could not see any change in the type of physical caretaking. Several of the staff came to my mom's funeral. She made them feel like grandchildren per their testimonies. So, in turn our family have "adopted" many of them and continue to stay in touch.

The communication isn't the greatest and sometimes hallway smells like urine. My mother in law is independent so not an issue. The food is good but not always, according to my mother in law. It is expensive but great value. Hard to compare, but overall we are very satisfied.

That it's a great place but a bit more expensive than almost everywhere else. We picked this community because of the location and entertainment and choice of a slightly bigger room.

After several falls, we chose Ludington Woods as a home for my grandparents. The staff always treated my grandparents well and we felt that they were safe and well cared for. We also loved the quaint, smaller community.

All the residents and helpers are friendly and helpful.

They need more staff. All nursing facilities are under staffed. [name removed] is no longer at Story Point due to a change in licensing and he needed more care than they could do. He is currently at ST. Clare Commons. They have the same issues. Story Point has a great a Great Activity Program. They also charge more equipment like Hoyer and stand up lifts etc.

Mom likes the all inclusive price. Everything is included 3meals in the dining room, cable etc. there is service 3 days a week to and from places within 12 miles to go shopping or doctor appointments. Her apartment is spacious with a balcony and kitchenette. Lots of closets. She has made friends and enjoys the games.

The food is good here but there is limited selection for meals and the service in the dining room is quite slow. This may be due to fewer staff since occupancy is only about 50% in independent living.

The staff is very caring and supportive. Very nice rooms with utilities, cable, and meals included. Activities and field trips are offered. [name removed] is my family member's favorite staff member. She is always willing to help solve any problem that may arise.

My mom has been there since May 2024. She really likes it! They just need to pay more to get more help in there. Employees over worked! Overall it is very nice! We know help is hard to find, but the residents shouldn't suffer.

I have never had a negative experience with an employee of Story Point. The staff. They are so nice and helpful and I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience I have had so far.

My mother has been a resident at StoryPoint for almost a year. She is happy and has made several friends. The caregivers have been caring and supportive. They are always friendly. Meals smell good and are balanced. I am happy she is there!
