My loved one really seems to be doing well here! It's a very nice place, and everyone is friendly. They're doing a great job with the activities and keeping him active.

I was very impressed by my tour here by everything except the outside of the building. From the outside the building looks very medical, just plain brick. But inside it is very nice, clean, and new looking. All of the rooms have nice modern bathrooms and beds. This facility was a bit more expensive than others I looked at.

The Marquette does not feel like a nursing home or assisted living center because it truly is a retirement "home" first. Seniors can hire any level of care needed but you never see a medical cart or medical type of person in the halls. The building looks beautiful and inside it always smells fresh. The apartments are laid out more like apartments, not hospital rooms. My mom loved it right away after fighting a move away from her big, beautiful house for 3 years. A large part of their success is not only this set up of a residence first, with assistance available; but the incredible staff. There are two couples who LIVE in the Marquette as on-site managers. These folks are caring, mature, sincere and extremely thoughtful of my mom's needs as well as our needs as the extended family who helps manage mom's care. The two women on the sales staff are fantastic as well. Michelle my salesperson, with help of the on-site managers couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating when we had to make a move within a day of touring. We're grateful for the Marquette and my mom says everyday "I can't believe you found this place for me. It's perfect!"

We are very pleased. In particular we love the supportive staff, everyone from maintenance to administration to people that provide the supportive services to all the young people in the dining room. They create a wonderful atmosphere. My parents don't particularly involve themselves in the activities, my dad is 97 and my mom is 94 and they're not very mobile, but if they chose to be more active they certainly could be. They have a nice one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen.

They are clean and friendly, and she is always busy when we call, playing bingo or some other activity. The only thing I've heard is that, meals aren't at the right times, I think maybe she would appreciate a little more flexibility with meal time. The food is good. They seemed to have the best value in terms of what you get for what you pay. They are also in a good location for us.

I haven't been to this place many times, my Mom was the one who did the selecting primarily. Mom liked the aesthetics, the neighborhood, and the residents of this community. She was interested in a community with more active residents, and seems to enjoy it here. She has not had good things to say about the food, however. She said some days are better than others, but it is generally negative.

We found ourselves in a rather urgent situation in October in regards to care for our mom who has advancing Alzheimer's. Day Care was not going to work and Dad needed respite care at minimum. My Dad and sister visited approximately 8 centers and fell in love with Glen Oaks. They are an Alzheimer's care center specifically. We placed Mom for a one week respite, or so we thought. After one week we realized that this was the perfect place for mom. The staff are diligent, attentive, creative and compassionate. The center is close to dad and he is welcome at any hour of the day or night. They have a day full of activities appropriate for their Alzheimer's community. I truly believe that this facility is a God-Send for our family.

Ponder Creek was great. Unfortunately, since it's not an assisted living residence, we had to make the decision to not use them. Bonnie did tell us that we would be able to make arrangements for a 'visiting nurse' or whatever else might be needed but my husband would rather have his father somewhere that can handle that for us. Ponder Creek is a beautiful facility with lovely grounds.

Very caring, thoughtful and helpful staff. Love that the 4 managers live on site and they know and interact with all the residents. The activities director is very enthusiastic and involved with the residents. Wonderful chef and wait staff, and excellent food. Overall, extremely happy with the experience so far.

My mom and I were appalled about this place. We haven't decided yet;where my mom wants to go. Legacy is a big place and alot of activities. The apartment was beautiful too. I give Legacy a 10.

December will be the third month that my mother has lived at Ponder Creek. I have been very pleased with the facility. The food is good; the staff is friendly; she feels safe; there are many activities; lots of entertainment and family members are kept apprised of how she's doing.

Sharon had called me to ask if I could come some other time and we made arrangements to visit on Saturday. We met with her and instantly felt at home. She was a wealth of knowledge and willing to work with us on any level. While a first glance at the exterior was not as eye appealing as others we saw, it was obvious that the spirit of the place is in its people inside. Residents appeared to be happy, engaged and well looked after. They have a more extensive menu for meals. Very clean and well appointed with large rooms for their residents.

My dad doesn't take advantage of a lot, but i don't think that they could do much more than they are doing. But I do wish that they would take a little more initiative to get him up and out of bed. He seems to like to the food. They have a lot of outings and the will drive residents to the store. He has his own apartment, but it opens up into a hallway indoors. It seems like most of the residents are at the same level as my dad both cognitively and physically, which is nice.

They're outstanding! My wife was there for 7 weeks and then she passed unexpectedly but while she was there she had tons of friends and what surprised me when they would visit they would say wow, this place is absolutely fantastic. Glen Oaks has big wide hallways so people can get around comfortably in wheelchairs. There is lots of light and it beautifully decorated. They would furnish the room but it was just a regular sized bed and a night stand because they didn't want them to stay in their rooms. They would get them up in the morning and then they had activities all day long. They keep them engaged. The staff is so well trained. It's a lot of young people that know everyone by name. It was absolutely exciting to watch. I would give that place an A+ and recommend it to anyone! I really struggled having to move her from home but once she got there she was happier there than she was at home. It's clean, neat, and the staff is spectacular. They have a little social director there that is just fantastic at keeping those people entertained. Every wed the would have an outing for those who wanted to go. They took a great picture of my wife on a hayride in an apple orchard. They are just amazing, really!

I still need to see the Woodlands but this felt so homey. I loved the huge dog that came to greet me. The neighborhoods were small and homey. I would want her in assisted living there however.

My mother entered Glen Oaks on the premise of a one week respite, I believe dad will be extending that respite for another week and will most likely be placing mom in the near future. My sister and my father are so happy with this facility and mom's adjustment has been quite smooth with no drama. It has only been 4 days, but it has been 4 days that have provided us with much peace.

My Mother resides in Keepsake Village at the Hearth and is happier than I have seen her in some time. The care that she is receiving here is excellent, and she is really benefitting from the interaction with the other residents, the numerous scheduled activities, and the excellent food. Several relatives and friends have visited her while she has been living here and all have been impressed with the homelike atmosphere and the energetic, hard-working staff. I would highly recommend this facility to families who are seeking excellent care for a parent with Alzheimer's/dementia.

It's a great place, it's been really good for them although we've had a little bit more problems with my mother's husband; he ended up in an Alzheimer's unit at Parkside and she went with him too. She's not too happy because she's not as far along in her dementia. They've tried to get her out but she doesn't want to do anything without him. It's very clean, the meals are just what they get in the rest of the place, they just bring it down to a special cafeteria room. The food is good, their little apartment is very small, but we just scaled all of their stuff down so they have enough to live on. They want the rooms to be like that so they don't stay in their rooms a lot but my mother and her husband just stay in there and nap. I think they jsut need more encouragement, I can't comment on the activities because I haven't been there enough to see them but they could use more encouragement to do them

Loved this and have it under strong focus!

It was hard to wait for an opening at this facility but worth it. Mom is as happy and well cared for as she will allow. They care for each resident according to their needs.. Food is a highlight of each day and seems to be quite good. Eating together in the Dining room is strongly encouraged, but patients are accommodated whatever their needs.
