Director [name removed] runs Ludinton woods, she has an open door policy, mingles daily with the residents. Some residents need more assistance than others, she graciously tries to appease them. When visitors come by, she makes herself available. I have seen her stay late on numerous occasions. I am there daily and she always asks how things are going and if I need anything.

Facilities is beautiful. The place is clean. The food is good. I just wish my family member was more active. They don't seem to be motivated to go out and do much. The one bedroom apartment was great! . We just moved to an efficiency apartment to save some money.

Everyone on the staff cares. It doesn't matter what position, from housekeeping to maintenance, looks out for the residents and helps in any way they can. In the long run, it's one of the most important things They could improve on the food by having more options, easier ordering process. I hate to say it, but better quality. They advertise having a chef, pictures of things like scallop dinners, but the reality is nowhere close to that. I really liked the staff, especially the kitchen staff. I don't blame them.

The location is great and close to home/family. The facility is newer. Everyone is very professional, I appreciate all of the updates that I get from the staff.

We were attracted to them because of the friendliness of the other residents when we went there for the visit and the food was excellent when we went there to visit. I would happily recommend to anyone and everyone. The staff is welcoming and warm. It honestly would be a five they have been in the middle of changing chefs and the food has been a little bit disappointing but overall it is an amazing place.

The facility has been completely renovated, except for the rooms that individuals are already in. StoryPoint took complete charge on [date removed]. Re-modeling, renovations commenced on [date removed]., and appear to be dwindling down! Meals/dining are improving too.

The administration was very helpful getting father admitted and getting him settled in. The caregivers are very compassionate, dedicated and attentive.

Overall it’s been a pretty good experience. There are bound to be things that not everyone likes. But so far it’s been a good experience for my brother. And he really likes the food! Plus it’s close to me so I can visit frequently. The parking situation is a problem though. Usually have to park in the back because there aren’t many spaces in front. Not normally a problem but the weather has been so bad and cold that it’s not favorable.

Basically I'd give Danbury Independent Living of North Canton a 4 on all the categories above. The biggest complaint is the food per the residents, but I think that's standard at most facilities d/t the restrictions seniors may have for dietary guidelines/concerns.

The program at Danbury is good, and probably exceeds much of what is available elsewhere. However, there have been noticeable changes over the last 6 months that many attribute to the "new management". I suspect things might be somewhat different in the assisted living area, but Memory Care has its problems. Staffing is often insufficient, and I often question the quality of the nursing care/decisions. Family members would be encouraged to be very vigilant and involved in the care of a loved one there. I believe the level of care is "adequate", but I also see many many gaps and deficiencies in the way staff interact with residents. As one care provider shared with me recently, "the vibe here has significantly changed [for the worse]." Dad has been in memory care for over a year and we have witnessed many changes during this time. The front desk staff and the staff at every other level have privately shared with me/us their concerns and frustrations. The turnover in staff has been alarming, and the interpersonal quality of care has changed for the worse. Various families have removed their loved ones and taken them elsewhere (e.g., Kent Ridge; arranged home care) and the census at one point had really declined. Numerous changes (turnover) involving direct care staff and nursing staff have been ongoing. The staff in Memory Care has turned over completely at least twice. The care provided is certainly competent and sufficient; however, there is a clear sense that "care is a business" and it is approached that way. It is all about finding the right personnel. This is not happening. It is not to say that the care is "bad", but in many areas it could and should be improved. I believe Danbury does a good job of meeting the basic needs of these residents. And, I recognize these are often tough positions to fill. But, there must be serious changes made or the quality of care will definitely be the next thing to decline.

My father has only been here a short time so I can’t really say a lot. We are very happy with the care and how fast they respond. He was in a different facility before Danbury and we were not happy with how long it took for them to respond amongst other things. His room is a good size and convenient for him as he is in a wheelchair and can only use his right arm. His room is well equipped with safety equipment and he is very happy with it. They seem to have a lot of activities and live entertainment. The food seems to be pretty good also. The facility is clean, nicely decorated, has a lot of amenities, it has a fish tank and an aviary, the birds are pretty and fun to watch. They have many sitting areas and the staff is friendly and very helpful if you have questions.

Since my mom has moved in to Arbor Grove I have seen a 100 percent turn around in her health and happiness. The staff seem friendly and helpful. Arbor Grove seems to be a safe and positive environment for my Mom to live in.

Overall, the level of care is good. Most of the staff are genuinely interested in providing a safe and comfortable experience for the residents. There seems to be a moderate rate of turnover among the staff, which presents occasional coverage challenges.

Moving your loved one into any facility is something that is very hard to do. Danbury walked our family through step by step. They were kind, helpful & we didn’t feel rushed. We could move at our own pace getting our mother moved in.

Spring Leaf is a unique community of 55 and older residents who have captured the characteristics of a way of life gone. Mutual care and concern for neighbor; voluntary production of games, experiences, and fun to pass the time; discussions and classes to expand the mind and spirit; helpful staff.

My mom suffered a massive stroke and has been at Danbury 8 months. Overall she is happy here. The food is good and there are a lot of activities available. Most of the staff are caring and kind but we have had issues with several aides who are rude and impatient. As with many facilities this day and age there are staff shortages and this creates longer wait times for a patient who needs help.

My family and I had a wonderful time tonight. We loved listening to the carolers and eating the food. It has been a good place for my grandparents and I am glad they are here! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and truly feels like home. The staff is attentive, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure residents are comfortable and happy. The facility is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities that cater to the needs of seniors.

It is expensive. Drained mom of any savings she had so when she passed us kids had to pay for the funeral. Administrative staff maybe a 3. They were great getting her in there then just seemed to drop off the face of the earth once money was received. Staff was nice but over worked.
