StoryPoint of Fort Wayne is the first of it's kind here in Indiana. They provide 3 dining options: a cafe/barista for breakfast, a casual but upscale bar/bistro for lunch, and an elegant fine dining 3 course meal experience for dinner. People who work there are passionate about what they do and care about the residents, families, and fellow staff. It truly is a community that makes you feel like family.

Staff were well versed in the questions concerning the facility. The residents needs were met with speed and smiles. I was invited to stay for a meal. The menu had a good variety of items to choose from. The food was very tasty and good portioned. I will not hesitate to have my loved one join this community when the time comes.

Fantastic senior living community! Very pleasant and fun staff, great food and tons of activities for the seniors. My father loves living there!

My dad lived at Independence Village for 2 years he really enjoyed his time here. The staff was always very accommodating and ready to help. The food was good with many choices. He made lots of new friends which made life better.

Great place for retirees. Service is great.

This is home to us now. We are happy here. We have a very active life here. We picked the right spot. We like the bar, parties and activities

We found the food very good most of the time. It's served warm to hot. I really enjoy breakfast and the good choices.

This feels like home here to me or at least as close as it could possibly feel like home. The staff are my friends and like family. My neighbors are great - always looking out for me. I love to have a drink on Thursday fir Thirsty Thursday and enjoy live music.

I believe I will feel at home here.

My Aunt enjoyed her stay at Journey Senior Living. She was very responsive to the staff and liked eating her meals with others. She was well cared for and they were considerate of her needs. She unfortunately passed away on [date removed] after a short 2 1/2 months at Journey. Thanks for your help in getting her into Journey and I would recommend it to others seeking the same care I was.

Mine is a different experience. I spent a month at Atria at river trail, due to recovery from an orthotipeic procedure , I wasn’t ready to go home from my 3 week stay in the hospital, and needed care for a short time, where I could continue with my therapy, and they were a perfect match for me. I wasn’t able to take a tour of the facility, due to my condition, but I did contact ‘A Place For Mom’, and they were able to direct me to several facilities that would be able to look after me. Their service was great!! It started with a personal visit by their representatives in the hospital, to assist me in making the right decision for my specific requirements. I was moved to Atria via private ambulance directly from the hospital, and had coordinated with my insurance provider to have a hospital bed, wheelchair, and commode riser delivered to Atria prior to my arrival. The folks at Atria accommodated me, by removing the bed from my apartment, to install the hospital bed. When I arrived at Atria, I was greeted by the director [name removed] and welcomed to the facility. I was quickly processed in by their extremely friendly office staff, and then down to the lobby ‘which is beautiful ‘ to be shown to my apartment. At this time I found out that my insurance providers representative had dropped the ball, and had delivered nothing to my room, had not been there, and had not notified the offices at Atria. After contacting my insurance providers representative, I was informed that they would not be able to deliver my order until the next day, and the hospital bed wouldn’t arrive for a week.. This is when [name removed] stepped in, he immediately changed my room assignment to their model apartment, told me that I could use a wheelchair until mine arrived the following day, and went out to Walgreens and purchased a commode riser for me, out of his own pocket!! That is the level of caring that you can expect at Atria. The meals were very good, not institutional by any means, several choices for lunch and dinner, and breakfast was like eating at your favorite local restaurant. I was there during lent, and am a catholic, so if I couldn’t eat what was on the menu du jour, I could have a special order prepared for me. Oh, and I could have a glass of wine with dinner! It is a very friendly place, with many daily activities, including attending a theater production, cooking classes, arts and crafts, concerts, etc. you get the idea. They have an in house theatre that shows documentaries, and favorite tv shows, and baseball games, They also have a well equipped work out room, and physical therapy is available there. Almost any service that you can imagine is avaiythere for you, from an on site hair care facility, to a bi-weekly happy hour mixer for the residents to get together and trade life experiences, and discuss current events. I highly recommend Atria at river trail, it’s a great facility for you, or your loved ones. Thank you [name removed], and your incredible staff for a great stay with you! [Name removed]

Independence Village of Aurora has proven to be a big step up from the last facility. Not that there was a lot wrong at the last facility, it's just so much better here. Bigger apartment, MUCH better dining and a great attention to up keep and maintenance. On top of that we're saving money. Very satisfied!

A HUGE thank you to [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] who have made a difficult situation so pleasant. They have been very accommodating, friendly and mostly very understanding. Mom has meet friendly people and felt very comfortable with her new living arrangements from the beginning. I highly recommend to anyone thinking about putting a loved one in a safe environment.

My mother in law, my father and my step mother have all resided at Independence Village White lake. The care they received was exceptional. The apartments are large and comfortable. My dad and step mom had a condo in Mexico and when they moved in I asked him if the apartment was as nice as their condo. He got all teary eyed and said it was much nicer! The food it outstanding, over the 7 years we've had family there we shared many wonderful meals with them for holidays. The staff is the very best - they don't have a lot of turnover and they develop a relationship with the residents. They were all treated with respect and affection (and my father could be challenging!). I can't recommend them highly enough. Special thanks to [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] for the kind and compassionate care for my family members.

We’ve found Mom’s new home! [Name removed] was great. Answered all of our questions and gave us the tour. Lots of activities and amenities, plus the car options are just what we needed for our mom in an Independent Living situation. Thank you!
