It is super clean here. The food is out of this world. Staff is caring and kind. I am happy to call this home.

[Name removed] is a very knowledgeable and kind person who spent a lot of time with my wife and I. The apartments are all very large with a nice kitchenette (with stove). The residents were very active and alert and interacted a lot with both the staff an each other. They all seemed to be quite happy. The amenities were great with a pretty extensive menu at all meal times.

Story Point is a wonderful independent living facility. Brand new, immaculately clean, beautifully maintained. Everyone from the director on down is friendly and helpful. Residents are treated as valued members of the community, not just a body filling a space. Couldn't ask for better.

Wow. Upscale. Everything, everything included. Beautiful building and grounds, literally in a park. All staff trained in memory issues care. Concierge service to make appointments. They will take you to appointments. Small gym. Exercise activities. Restaurant open 12 hours a day with a chef. Included. Just super nice in every way. Like living on a cruise ship. I think it might be out of range for my parents but it's month-to-month so it's always a short term option, in case let's say, dad had knee surgery. They can even do PT right there, or drive you to it... It would be like a vacation!

If you are looking for a place where you can sleep at night knowing your parent is cared for, check Senior Star out. They surpassed my expectations from day one and I am pleased with the level of service my mom is receiving. Believe me, she was not ready to move and it took years just to get her in the community to visit! Once we walked into Senior Star and mom was able to meet the residents, talk with them and try the food, she was completely blown away. I never felt my mom would make the move and thought a crisis would be our only answer. Going to Senior Star with my mom and listening to her describe what was important to her made me see a different side of her. She was craving socialization and I didn't even realize how lonely she was. The program calendar is very impressive and mom ended up moving in about 6 months ago. My family and I were shocked at how quick she adapted but the team at Senior Star really does a great job. Their team really cares and it shows. If you are starting a search, check this community out! I guarantee you will not be disappointed and make sure to try their soft serve ice cream! Their coolies are good too!

Glen Eagle is a great place for Dad. He enjoys the food and his little apartment. The staff is very caring and kind. The Advisacare on site is a nice safely net. The GreatCall emergency call service is great peace of mind. Glen Eagle is independent living so some independence is required. It fits Dad perfectly at this time.

StoryPoint is a wonderful community. A great place to enjoy your life. Helpful and caring staff.

I was one of the first residents to move into Story Point where I found a most caring staff, many activities and when I had a serious illness I received excellent care from our Wellness Center. I would recommend living here to those looking for senior living.

[Name removed] and the rest of the staff at Powell Senior Living went out of their way to make my parents feel more comfortable about their move. I so appreciate their kindness and support during a difficult time for my mom and dad!

The facility is still under construction so we were not able to tour the building however it was offered that we could visit another close by which had the same layout. We met with [name removed] who was great. Very patient with all of our questions and concerns. Very informative and put us at ease with the decisions we are facing.

A+ staff and service from admin/management to everyday life on the grounds. Couldn’t ask for a better place for my father. Everyone at The Marquette makes him feel special—and I feel reassured as well. Friendly, upbeat, respectful, non-infantilizing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Every single staff member is kind, loving and respectful. Mom is happy there and refers to her room as 'home'. She thoroughly enjoys the meals which are well balanced, tasty, provide variety, choice and always abundantly proportioned. Although she is not a very social person by nature, she loves the visits by the young lady who plays guitar and sings to her. She is invited to participate in various creative and interesting activities which entertain and broaden horizons. The residents throughout all appear to be joyful, always greeting each other and visitors with grins and well wishes. One can feel the contentment and love of life by the residents when in StoryPoint of Rockford. I am so grateful to have found them. My mom is happy, what more could I want.

From the first day we moved Mom in, she was happy, and we knew she would receive great care. The facility looks more like a high-end hotel rather than a senior living facility. The dining room food rates among the top restaurants in the area. [Name removed], who oversees dining, provides a fun atmosphere with special dining events regularly. Everyone at The Enclave is friendly, helpful and pleasant. The people working at The Enclave go out of their way to be sure Mom has what she needs, especially [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]. They also keep us well informed of what activities Mom participates in and how she does in general. We recently moved Mom from the independent living side to the assisted living side. We want to thank [name removed] for making this happen quickly and seamlessly, especially due to our last minute changes. In addition to The Enclave being a great place for Mom, it’s also enjoyable for us to visit her there! We are now relaxed knowing Mom is in a great place receiving great care!

From the start our family was very impressed with our contacts at Powell Senior Living. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I live out of town and [name removed] was so helpful when she took the time to video the actual room we were interested in for my mother. Also prior to my nervous mother moving in, [name removed] called her to let her know they were excited to meet her and were awaiting her arrival. That simple call made all the difference! Even moving in they took the time to offer cookies, cake and drinks for a much needed break to our family as we prepared my mother’s apartment. We all felt very welcome indeed. The facility was beautiful and apartment was move in ready.

I recently had a family member move to Independence Village of Avon Lake. It's like living in the Taj Mahal... it is beautiful but you can also feel such a peace when you walk in. We would definitely recommend this community to friends and family.

I moved to Avon Lake about a month ago and I really like it. The people working here are great. They are always so helpful and always talk to you. The housekeeper and maintenance man feel like family to me now. I am proud to have friends come to visit because it is such a nice community. I really enjoy playing pool and going to tai chi and other exercise classes. I feel it is really unusual to have as many activity choices as they have here daily. The entertainers who come here to perform are also really good. I would definitely recommend this community to friends and family.

StoryPoint in Troy hosts our monthly A.C.T.I.O.N. Amputee Meetings in their Theatre Room! Their staff is always happy to help set up the room and prepare delicious appetizers and drinks. We feel so blessed to be able to have our meetings at StoryPoint in Troy!
