Story Point has provided my mom with the care she needs but allows her to be independent. It is a beautiful facility with a caring team of staff and home health care providers. I know my mom is enjoying living there with all the activities and community involvement she wants to utilize yet she has a safe place to call home without all the repairs and costs of being a homeowner. Story Point has improved my mom's quality of life, her interest in life and her health. The staff are such encouragers who take time to show personal interest in each resident. She is no longer lonely as she has made so many friends...all of the residents care about the other residents like a family. The activities include ball games, hockey games, field trips to plays, parks, restaurants, weekly entertainment, seminars, guests along with time to relax and play cards or bingo with friends. Mom can pick and choose what she enjoys, even setting on her patio and watching the sunset. I could not be happier with our choice of a new home for mom and I know that someone is there with her to help her when she needs them. She tells me she feels like a queen and loves living there. What a blessing to find StoryPoint for my mother. They made such a smooth transition for her move in and within weeks she referred to it as home. After moving here from another state where she had lived in her home for 49 years that was confirmation that the staff at StoryPoint succeeded in making a new resistant feel secure, loved and welcomed. Truly is a family atmosphere where everyone in staff is happy, professional, caring and truly takes time with each and every individual (including family). I've been very happy here the past 7 years. I feel safe and it's very clean. The food is very good. The people here are very nice. What makes Independence Village the best place to live is the STAFF. Without the staff, you have no home. The staff here, on many occasions, have been very good and it's like having your family here with you.

The facility is absolutely beautiful. The food is good as well as the kitchen staff actually takes their time to get to know the residents and see what food they would like for the menu. The caregivers actually take the time to get to know the residents and even the family and support you. Housekeeping is amazing as well. They do amazing and the facility is clean.. even the walls look great! They provide events and activities as well. Such a beautiful building and a great place to live overall. Highly recommend!

We toured this community and think it is beautiful. The most impressive part was the staff. They were so engaging and helpful - and they knew everyone person by name. We were impressed.

I visited this community for an event and was very impressed. The staff very helpful and friendly. Everyone greets you with a smile. Beautiful inside and out. Really like the indoor pond and glass elevator like being at a five star resort.

Being a health care provider, I visit many facilities for patients. I personally recommend Independence Village of Brighton not only because the facility has many great amenities but has a wonderful staff you can trust to take care of your loved one.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this community! First and foremost I really don't know what I would have done with the caring and loving support of the Sales & Marketing Director- [name removed], he went far and above what you would ever expect from anyone. My parents have called The Waterford at Ames home for 4 months now, and I am happy that they have such a warm loving and caring place to be. Everyone there is wonderful and they don't just "work" there they really do care about their residents. It's a clean, comfortable, and homey environment with great activities, as well as great meals. You really wouldn't have to worry about your loved ones here. I highly recommend it!

From the 1st time I walked into Legacy Pointe I was impressed...it was beautiful and so inviting. Now that we've been here since July we are so glad we opted for this place. The staff is wonderful, caring and helpful. There is always something to do.....crafts, cards, games, exercise class, movies, etc. The apartments are spacious and I love the patio. I really like the weekly cleaning!!! I don't think there would be anywhere else I'd rather be. And the maintenance staff does a great job.

We appreciate the love and kindness and helpfulness that all of the staff and residents show her, StoryPoint truly is one big, loving family supporting one another. :)

My dad had wonderful care. StoryPoint became his home where he wanted to be, where he was happy and comfortable. He made many friends there and commented it was the best place ever!!

[Name removed] in maintenance fixed a problem with my stove in 30 minutes after other people had looked at it and been stumped! He is always running around working hard. We so appreciate him!

Tonight my husband and I visited Senior Star in Romeoville. My husband and I dropped in around 5:30pm and got to meet their team. The woman assisting us was attentive, knew every person by name and demonstrated and a genuine desire to help us. We had dropped in because we didn't want things to be planned and were so pleased with the activity we witnessed, the happy residents and the clean and welcoming environment. The woman who helped us had been with Senior Star for almost 10 years and knew everyone by name and gave us so much time. We needed to talk everything through and she was attentive and patient. Our visit was impressive and my husband and I feel strongly that this community can assist my sister. The menu was very attractive, the parking was good and they even have laughter yoga. This community was not what we expected and recommend you to visit. The girl at the front desk even gave us cookies! It was a great experience and we will definitely be returning.
