The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and this is a beautiful community. My only issue is that there has been turnover. The executive director is very responsive and caring. The communication, in general, is good but the medical staff needs some improvement. I would recommend this community to others. The community has done a great job with covid and keeping the residence safe.

Independence Village of Waukee is conveniently located off Hickman Rd. When you drive up to the building, you witness a well kept lawn and a beautiful building. Inside does not disappoint either. The building is very clean, the food is always made from scratch. But the staff are what makes this community stand out. They genuinely care about our loved one. I would recommend Independence Village Waukee to anyone looking for a one of a kind senior living community.

This is a warm and cozy place for someone you love. The staff is incredibly caring and friendly. They make sure that the residents are safe and well taken care of. The apartments are nice and clean and well maintained. The food is excellent and I look forward to eat with the residents. Mom is very happy here.

This community is very lively and outgoing. Residents and staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome right away. My loved one has been very happy for the 2 years she has lived at StoryPoint Saline! We cannot say thank you enough to everyone at StoryPoint Saline.

Independence Village of Pella is filled with love and is truly outstanding! They go far and beyond to enrich the lives of their residents and to make every minute of everyday an exceptional moment. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Our mom is 86 but lively and happy just alone and she deserves better. Living on her own was also getting a little overwhelming at times. She did not want to leave her condo and independence but we knew that once she got into a lovely community she would be happier. Independence village is just the place the staff is amazing the community is lovely and it’s just the spot for my mom!! I am so glad we looked into this for her and had a couple residents also help make the transition smoother for someone! I love going to visit my mom! It’s nice to see her happy and having friends!! Storypoint is a place that truly advocates quality of life for you or your loved ones. My parents moved to Storypoint from their home of over 50 years. It was a big change and the staff was amazing in making my parents feel comfortable and felt at home. The communication between staff, residents, and family members is always clear and prompt. My parents are always notified of the diverse activities and when my mom needed a little more assistance they were prompt in notifying me. I am grateful for Storypoint.

They said the transportation was available to take to doctor appointments. The community doesn't provide wheelchair transportation. I was there for a short amount of time. The staff knew me by name, they were friendly. The food was horrible and was served in the resident's rooms due to the pandemic. The community was clean. The residents were friendly. The dining room was well appointed. There was an odor from the carpet. I wish they had a pool or Jacuzzi.

The staff members have been exceptional and the care services are excellent, we have absolutely nothing bad to say about the community. The meals are very good, and before covid they have a wide variety of activities for the residents to pick from so we are anxious for those to start back up again. It is just a fantastic environment with exceptional employees.

Everybody is so kind and nice. I love my apartment. Caregivers are always nice and very helpful.

Everybody is nice and willing to help if you ask for help.

ED is very helpful, she listens to you to make sure you're happy. She listens to your complaints. If any is wrong she will try to fix it.

Valentine's Day at the Village was a day to remember. Tables were set with care, in hopes all will be happy with a Valentine's Day affair. Hearts on the table, red decoration in the vases, yum candy in a red heart box all making for a perfect Valentine's Day celebration, The hostess was delightful, the waitress's all smiles and happy greetings to all the guests was a refreshing delight for sure. The dinner and all the trappings made smiles around the room and the desert was one to take home for sure. Thank you staff for making this Valentine's Day one to remember with love!

Appreciate efforts made so that mom is not lonely. Only complaint, wish they had more exercise facilities.

IVAL has some of the most unique, and creative programming in senior living! They have a caring staff and they truly care about their residents.

IV Waukee is a wonderful community with many activities to do, a salon, wonderful food and great employees.

I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful place for my Grandma to call home! As soon as you walk in the door, you immediately feel like family. The staff are so kind and conscientious. When initially looking for senior living options we were worried that we wouldn't be able to find somewhere my Grandma felt comfortable enough to call home. All of those worries were gone as soon as we went to Independence Village of Avon Lake. The care staff are wonderfully kind and patient. The culinary staff is amazing and the activity staff is beyond incredible. The meals always sound delicious and she is hardly in her apartment because she is always busy doing the activities! We are so grateful she has found such a wonderful place to call home!

I have been working at Independence Village since I was a teenager. Started as a server and eventually was able to work my way up the ladder and move into my role as an life enrichment lead. We offer lots of activities that embody physical activity, mental/cognitive, entertainment and lots more! Always something to do here. I love it.

This staff has gone above and beyond taking good care of the residents and making sure they have creative programs during this Covid time. It is obvious with the care they take, they love the residents.
