Entering (moving in) and getting comfortable in a new environment was difficult during covid. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks for them to adjust and they were spot on. The activity organizer is wonderful! Residents can be as involved as they want.

We chose Sunrise of Gahana because it is a smaller facility so it is not as overwhelming as some of the larger places and it is also all on one level so there are no stairs of elevators to worry about. The room sizes at the facility are pretty good, we were able to fit all of her things in here with plenty of space. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

StoryPoint is a really nice sized community, and really worth considering. With all things considered and given the current circumstances they are doing a great job bringing back some of the activities while still remaining cautious. They have great amenities and its like living on a luxury cruise ship.

My uncle moved into Dominion when it first opened in 2015. My uncle was losing his vision and having trouble with hallucinations. Once I met the staff and saw everything they had to offer, I knew this is the place I wanted my uncle to live. My uncle passed away in 2019 but I still cannot say enough good things about my experience while he was living at Dominion. The team went above and beyond to make sure my uncle was taken care of. Since my uncle lost his vision, they made sure he was escorted to the dining room for every meal, he was properly dressed, he was clean and bathed, his apartment was clean, and they personally escorted him to all activities that he could participate in. Even though my uncle passed away in 2019, I still go and visit the residents that reside there in 2021. The staff continues to make me feel welcome and I have made many friends who I still enjoy visiting. The friends I visit are still satisfied with the care that they are receiving.

Choosing StoryPoint for my elderly mother is one of the BEST decisions I have ever made for her. My mother absolutely loves living at StoryPoint. She phones me almost on a daily basis very excited to tell me, "Guess what activity we did today, or you're never going to believe what we ate for dinner today!" In my opinion one of the most important services that StoryPoint provides to its residents is the daily call in feature which allows the resident to check in at the beginning of each day. When anyone asks my mother, "How to you like living at StoryPoint?" Her reply is always, "I LOVE IT HERE!"

They're very friendly, and very helpful with any questions or concerns that we have. Overall I think it's a really good place. And a lot better than a nursing home if you can do this first. They've been really good about holding care conferences with us anytime that we need to, and in helping to get home care set up so we don't have to switch to assisted living just yet. The apartments are nice and have everything in them that my loved one needs. This was the most reasonably priced place we found for independent living.

Had reservations about putting my mom anywhere, but my mind was soon out at ease because of the great care she is receiving. She always tells me how good the food is and they always have plenty of activities to keep her busy as she chooses to be. As long as she is there, I don't worry about her well being.

The staff is phenomenal! So caring and compassionate. [name removed] is exceptional!! She goes over and above to check on my father and encourages him to participate in activities.

This is a wonderful community that engages with residents and makes them comfortable in their new home. Staff are very friendly and willing to help!

We were looking for a place for my grandma for when she is ready to move from her home. We loved everything Independence Village had to offer. My grandma especially loved that they do weekly outings in the community and even go to the casino every now and then!

Our tour with StoryPoint Saline was great. They really spent a lot of time with us going over all of the information and answering all of our questions. The apartments here are all updated and they are HUGE, they have tons of windows in them. It almost feels like a house. The whole place was very nice it was just too big, if I had to choose a place to go for myself, I would go here.

StoryPoint Prospect is a wonderful senior living community filled with heart and compassion! It truly is like one big family. There is an ever changing menu of delectable meals and robust and exciting activity programs for residents to take part in!

We chose Story Point because the location was ideal and the staff when we met with them and talked with them were very helpful. It is a beautiful facility and the residents were all so friendly when we were walking through. You can tell that is is a very community oriented place and that is what we were looking for. The food is very good, they are chef prepared meals. They are safe and secure and it is a wonderful place. I would highly recommend to others looking.

I thought Independence Village of Avon was very nice, but I felt that the community fee was too high. I preferred the countryside setting of a different facility. IV just looked like a building plunked down in the middle somewhere. But the inside of it was very nice.

I would recommend the community to others based on my experience. I really like the community and am happy.

The Aurora Pond community is very clean and very well kept. We would definitely recommend this community to other families.

All the staff that I came in contact were very courteous and helpful .

My Parents were residents at Independence Village of White Lake. The staff there was nothing short of AMAZING! Staff would stop by to visit or just pop in to make sure everything was ok. We cant thank them enough for all their LOVE! The Culinary team is Phenomenal with all the delicious items they serve every day. The Activities team are hands down the best Team you could have. On top of all the activities they provide, they are caring and loving individuals. The wellness team--WOW they showed so much care and love to MOM & DAD between [names removed], and the rest of the team, THANK YOU SO MUCH! The housekeeping and Maintenance teams were outstanding too. And last but definitely not least... Kelly, the Executive Director was one of the deciding factors about moving our parents to the property. She was on top of everything from A--Z. Thank you all for a terrific time. I would absolutely recommend Independence Village of White Lake.

This place is fantastic. Really blew us away from the minute we walked in the door, we knew this was the right place for mom. Since dad passed from Covid, we really wanted mom to have a comfortable community where she could have good friendships, live comfortably, and not have to worry about cooking meals anymore. My brother noted that he almost can't wait until he's 55 so he can move in too!

Special events scheduled monthly (bi-weekly?). Registration for visitors by computer. Name tags printed. Free laundry for personal clothing. Light housekeeping weekly. Sheets changed every 2 weeks. Towels and sheets supplied by facility. Residents receive medic alert for no fee. Fall Option is $15/month. Medical staff on-site 24/7 for assistance. Home health care can be brought in.
