The people and food are very good. I really enjoy the bingo games.

I love it here. Great food.

Everyone is so enthusiastic about the job they have. Also whenever i have asked for help or suggestions they jump right in and offer help from a problem with refrigeration to a curling iron.

I feel comfortable here and they cater to people my age. The therapy is great and food is above average.

The management here is very strong, and the onsite director goes out of her way to interact with the residents. She will do anything and everything to get things done. She is not one to stand off on the side line, she is actively engaged.

I would suggest you consider this community highly. This is one community I would go for again for my loved one. Some of the activities include: dancing in their own chairs, catch with a beachball, gardening, and more for the residents to participate in.

Our loved one has since passed away, but during their stay there at the Creekside at Shallowford community really did do a good job.

I love the atmosphere in the building, it truly feels like my second home. There is always some activities to participate in for the residents. I would place my mom here, that says a lot.

They provide great care for their residences. Everyone is always so helpful & friendly!

My niece chose Powell Senior Living because she thought this was the best and I agreed with her. My apartment size is very good. I think they could improve the portion sizes on the food, they are very small. Overall I am very happy with it, the staff are very nice and bend over backwards for you.

I came to StoryPoint in order to heal after my surgery, and to regain strength. The staff here are wonderful and very caring. They are very kind and have taken great care of me - both physically and overall well being. The facility is beautiful and the food is great too! [name removed] and her team are the very best!

I love living at StoryPoint. I was hesitant when I first moved here but am very happy. The food is excellent. Caregivers are excellent. All the people are very friendly. Maintenance is always available to fix things when needed. Love the shuttle bus driver - very friendly.

From my understanding our friend seems to really like the meals and dinging. The activities are just now getting started after the covid pandemic, so they are making a good effort. Our friend really liked the spaces of the apartments and smallness of the community.

My grandma has lived here many years and I sincerely believe they have added those years to her life. She loves living here and the staff goes above and beyond to make her feel respected and loved. They remember the little things that make her happy and give her the attention and respect she deserves. She just had her 103rd Birthday celebration and they go all out each year. I recommend taking a tour if you’re looking for a home for a loved one.

I had the chance to visit Independence Village of Ames last week and the community was so incredibly warm and inviting. There were residents and staff socializing together everywhere you looked--in the lobby, in the activity rooms, and on the front porch as you walked in. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! The life enrichment director, [name removed], was delivering a Just Peachy mobile cart full of home-baked snacks and cocktails door to door to each resident, how fun!

My husband was in the care of StoryPoint for only about 6 weeks, but we experienced what quality care and compassion are really all about. The staff there were constantly giving whatever was necessary for the comfort & health of my husband. Not only that, but they kept me constantly informed of everything concerning his care. They were totally professional, knowledgeable, and sincerely caring to all of us. In StoryPoint, we certainly made the right choice!

My father had some health problems and had to give up his very active lifestyle and large home that he took care of to be closer to his kids. This place has been perfect. He still drivers an maintains his independent lifestyle and is living in a resort! The food is wonderful and the staff is great!
