Everyone here is so friendly, they all say hi when we pass them, and are very tuned into their residents. The only issue we had was that some of the aides, the caregivers were taking their breaks in my moms apartment. That was disconcerting, and after we reported it, we haven't had another incident since. It's very clean, extremely clean. They take care of the residents really well. They have lots of activities and very fun activities too. It's definitely one of the more upscale places.

The staff are friendly are friendly and outgoing, and talk to the residents. We can't rate on activities, because he was only there for a short period of time. The cost is very expensive. The location is close to my house, which is what we wanted, and convenient to the highway.

They were very helpful in placing my mom in the right area and they are taking good care of her.

My mother recently moved into the Memory Care section at Palos Verdes. It was, by far, the nicest of any I had looked at - the common rooms, dining room and hallway are very attractively decorated. The room was the largest I had seen - there's no sense of being cramped, even tho' it's a studio apartment. Additionally, the food is great.

My dad has resided at Three Oaks since October 2013 and it has been a very good experience for all of us. He was in a nursing facility before moving to Three Oaks - Three Oaks is nothing like a nursing home. It is clean, has good food and has wonderful, caring staff. Individual apartments ranging from a shared apartment with separate bedrooms to a 2 bedroom individual apartment. Many activities daily and a flexible team looking to make the transition a success.

We can't say enough good things about Dan! Our loved one is so happy here! There are a few small issues however. One being the dogs. Some bark in the early morning when going for their walk waking up the neighbor , and they are intersperced throughout the building. Also, the leashes cause a safety hazard because people can trip over them. The transportation is also an issue sometimes. Other than that, the meals are great! We feel like our loved one is safe and well taken care of here. The staff are all so friendly and know the residents by their first names. Whoever hires the employees are doing a great job! They have a wide variety of activities and it's such a beautiful place! It would be nice to see some of the exercise classes later in the morning for residents who are late sleepers.

My mother became of resident of the Park Meadows Memory Care facility in January 2014. While still at home she had become extremely withdrawn and oftentimes she was very uncooperative. I didn't know how the staff of Park Meadows would be able to deal with her. But the nurse and activity director knew exactly what to do and after only a couple of days my mother began to come out of her shell and participate in activities with the other residents. I can't say enough good things about the activities director and the head nurse. In addition Park Meadows is an attractive facility with beautiful furnishings. The common areas and the residents' rooms are always clean. I highly recommend Park Meadows.

After touring various facilities (to many to count!), we found that not only was Palos Verdes Senior Living the best fit for Dad's needs, but the overall picture of care available for him gave us such peace of mind too. There are the various levels of care that we expect that he will be happiest here than anywhere else. Thankfully the staff and the residents have made Dad, and us, feel very welcome in the short time since Dad moved in. He was not one to participate in activities in his ‘over 55 neighborhood’ (he & Mom lived there for over 20 years) because of his decline in health, lack of ability to physically balance when outside, signs of early dementia, and the politics that always rear their head in those types of communities. We hardly recognize the outgoing personality that Dad has become. His health has improved, he is developing friendships, and his willingness to try various activities that he would never have done while living on his own. The facility is very family friendly to visit as there are various rooms that are open for large family gatherings, as well as, Dad’s apartment is welcoming too. We are so happy to refer others to visit Palos Verdes as a great option for a loved one.

Pauline has only been there a week, but seems to be settling in well. She is out with others and seems to be fitting in. Communication is wonderful. The smoothie they made for her and the other residents was fabulous. The quality and care of care givers seems heartfelt. I think she will be very happy at Westview. The private bath and bedroom are perfect.

We had a great experience with [name removed] who we met with to get the ball rolling, he was terrific. The staff have been great across the board, the people who work in the dining room are fantastic. The facility is very clean and always looks good. Of course, the price is very high for a small apartment but seems to be in line with other facilities. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience

The facilities are nice, we are in a,2 bedroom unit 2 bath, kitchen. The meals are up and down. Having some problems keeping dining staff. Have a new CEO, just on job this week. Convenient to 2 major hospitals. Maintenance is well taken care of. Friendship is good.

The place is clean, and the people who work there are very nice. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

We are in an 800-square-foot apartment, which may sound small, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and the layout works very well for us. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The fitness center is good, and there are plenty of activities to choose from. We also really enjoy seeing so many couples living in the community, which adds to the overall atmosphere. The food is not gourmet, but it is good. There is a chef’s special each day, as well as a regular menu with options to choose from. Overall, we are very happy with the apartment, staff, amenities, and activities offered.

Westerville Senior Living was nice. I had an appointment for our tour, but the person who was supposed to take us around must have forgotten, because someone else ended up leading the tour. She was very nice, though. The room sizes were great. My only problem was that I didn't see any outdoor places for people to sit outside and talk. I am also nervous about the elevators. I kept thinking about my Mom being on the second floor and trying to get in the elevator if there was a fire.

My mother was in their memory care section of the facility. The staff were always attentive to ours or my mother's concerns. Based her condition they modified her food to meet her needs(blending) to make easier for to feed her self. The facility was always clean and well maintained. We did have Hospice of the Valley augment her treatment and care which was a wonderful experience working with them. They have two sizes of rooms available in memory care section. We chose the larger of two choices. They do not supply any furniture for the room, so we needed to supply the bed, chairs, desk... after mother passed away we were give a couple of days to clear the room out which was hard at that moment. Overall it was a great place for my mother. She was not there very long. Only about two months

They accepted my mom into the facility then after a week they told me we needed to move her out. They said she needed skilled nursing and they didn't offer that. I had shared her condition with them and they said they could take her but then no. I had to quickly find another place and move her again by the end of the month. Quite frustrating! The place was very nice and comfortable. Wonderful rooms- sunny, nice size.

Very clean environment the staff was outstanding the food was great however because of the lack of employees in the dining hall my dad had to wait sometimes as long as an hour before he got his food at his table a few times he had to leave for dialysis without eating because no one was available to take his order or food order was taken but never received

Mom's experience has been pretty good. She was under hospice care until about a month ago. We are just getting into some of the care issues that Hospice took care of. There are some very good aids and some that are not that great. I originally thought they all had some type of certification and they don't. It definitely makes a difference if you see those that go the extra mile. The nurses are wonderful. The management has changed completely. There's only one person there that was there when she moved in. The majority have left with the spectrum takeover and several have been let go. The place was very clean and then went downhill a bit, then got better when they had a director of housekeeping, but he is gone now and they have one person cleaning the entire place. The maintenance was good at the beginning and after several changes, the gentleman that left recently didn't really know what he was doing. I have been trying to get the toilet fixed going on three months now. The food is pretty good most of the time but the definitely don't gear their menu towards seniors. Originally there was a staffing issue that definitely got better that caused a wait time in the dining room that seems to happen once in a while now. The facility is very nice and offers plenty of activities but because of my mother's hearing and vision, she doesn't get excited about the majority of that.

Mom likes her apartment and the building a lot but thinks the facility is poorly run and is unimpressed with the food. There have been some disappointing lapses in service and the director has been unresponsive on a few issues. Her standards for dining out are Perkins, Golden Corral, and restaurants of that caliber, so it is unfortunate that the meal program is not more appealing. Overall, the location is very convenient and desirable for her and our family, but we will continue to press for more consistent good quality care and hope they will try harder to improve the selection and quality of the cuisine.
