Spectrum Retirement

I was looking for a facility in Kansas for my mother, who was living in Virginia. This establishment was able to answer all my questions and meet mother's needs. She moved last Friday and what a difference from her past assisted living facility! The nursing staff are responsive and keep her busy, so she does not feel lonely. The facility is clean, attractive, and the food is good. Glad I made the decision to move her near me.

We toured this community and it was bigger then what we were needing. It did not have day care . The staff were help. They have nice clean community. They offer activities for the residents who waout like to participate. The meals seems appealing. The staff were very nice and helpful to answer the questions we had. I recommend other families to tour this nice community.

This a lovely community,and my parents are extremely pleased with their move to this community. It has been a huge left off of them, and myself. I do feel they do a safe, and great hands. They are receiving great care, and everything is working out very well. It is a big win for everybody. This is a community I would one hundred percent recommend to my friends, and family. It is a great place.

Amazing place to live! Warm and friendly staff. Beautiful private apartment like rooms with small kitchen areas. Many daily activities and social engagements. Exquisite dining room and excellent food. Personal aides and Medical assistance on site for an additional fee. My mother lived here for 3 years and was treated with love and compassion. I will be eternally grateful to my Homestead family for everything they did for her in her final years.

My mom was not open to moving to a senior residence, thus I spent months looking for the perfect place she would love. She needed some care, but not necessarily full assisted living. Shawnee Hills offered an independent lifestyle for her, but is also able to provide the medication management she needed through a third party contract . The people there are great, very accommodating, and we have the option of additional care as it becomes necessary. Her apartment is cute, and she just admitted yesterday that it's starting to feel like home. She's been there less than a week, so that is great to hear! Thank you for helping us find the perfect place for Mom!

I have been at the Homestead at Hickory View many times. My initial visit was to visit my Mother and Father In Law when they lived there. What a warm, friendly and homey environment. The staff was so pleasant and caring. It didn't take long to feel as if they were part of our family. Although my Mother and Father In Law are no longer with us, I still stop by and am greeted with the same smiles. We still reminisce about our favorite memories and share new stories and experiences.

The Homestead at Hickory View is a home like community were everyone is looking out for each other. Even the residents. The atmosphere is living at its finest. The dinning is excellent, the food is very good and there are so many choices. The administration really cares about the needs of those people who have chose to live in the community.

Everything is going pretty good at Hilliard. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good and they offer plenty of daily activities. The community is brand new and nicely decorated. This community was recommended to us by a family member. The community is in a great location for us and I would recommend it.

I haven't heard any bad reports from my sister since my parents move to this community. So far everything is working out well. They are enjoying their time, and we know they are safe, and in a good place. My father loves the food, and that's a plus. Overall this community has worked out well for my family, and I would recommend it.

We moved my dad into Memory Care at Cedar Lakes in August of 2015. My dad quickly adjusted to his new home and enjoyed the welcome of some wonderful staff and residents. He loved his room and enjoyed many of the activities and the memory care unit is truly beautiful. He enjoyed the out door courtyard and playing the piano, Unfortunately as his dementia/Alzheimer's progressed my dad needed more care than assisted living. We really hate to have to move dad because he has been so happy . Now that he needs skilled care nursing we begin a new chapter. Cedar Lakes was a sweet respite from the challenges we faced when dealing with my dad's memory issues .

This is a nice community and we were happy to see the community to be clean and well taken care of. I like the staff and the environment, The food is good, but they did not understand he had a special need for his meals. They do offer activities for those who want to stay active. I would over all recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

My wife Mary and I have been living at Westview since late Nov 2016. We feel as though it is our home. The building is attractive and very clean. My daughter selected Westview because of the cleanliness. She wanted the best for her parents. Our apartment is spacious with ample storage space. The maintenance is excellent in that requests are filled in a timely manner. Our large screen TV was installed prior to our moving in. Most of our furniture was placed where requested. Beds were assembled. Moving in was easy because of all the pre planning. The food and menu items are adequate. If a menu item is not satisfactory an alternate item may be ordered. Food servers are great. Food is delivered quickly. Desserts are great. All things considered, Westview is a great place. Many activites and friendly people.

My mother's favorite thing about this about the community is the way it's built. The hand rails go throughout the community and are built so well you can't even tell their hand rails, they just seem to be part of the decoration. The staff is amazing, they knew her name after a week of moving in. She is enjoying the company of the other residents and it has been a positive experience for all of us.

My mother has been living at Palmilla for four months and it has more than lived up to our expectations. The staff is very helpful, friendly and courteous and makes you feel you are at home. It is exceptionally clean and the dining room is excellent including the food preparation and wait staff. Palmilla made my mother's move from another state to New Mexico a very good and positive experience. I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the awesome staff who care and show great respect and gentleness everyday to my parents and my aunt who are all residents at Palmilla. From the minute I walk in the door I am always greeted by the ever lovely and friendly Louise @ the front desk. ?? Her customer service skills are amazing. The evening staff is also always available when I call, sometimes in a frantic panic looking for my Mom... I say thank you [Removed]. I am so thankful my parents & my aunt are at this amazing facility. The staff who care for my family are Angels... in particular I would like to name the following: [Removed] RA/MA [Removed] RA... Palmilla is truly fortunate to have such wonderful, caring individuals working for them. I would also like to acknowledge Lizz, who has been so helpful and is always available to listen and help me navigate through this journey. ?? And A BIG thank you to Walter who has been invaluable, I have moved 3 family members in over the last 4 months, couldn't have done it without his help. There are so many wonderful people at Palmilla who make this journey easier, from the friendly kitchen staff, the hard working housekeeping staff, and the entire administrative group !! [Removed], the entire sales and activities group... THANK YOU.?? This journey is not easy but I feel so blessed knowing these angels are along to help guide and comfort. Keep up the good work! ????

My father has been living at Palmilla in assisted living since August 2016. Along with his daily Alzheimer's care, he has had several health related emergencies in the past few months - my family and I have been extremely pleased with the staff's urgency and care regarding his needs. I feel at ease knowing he is safe and being well cared for. The nurse at Palmilla is absolutely amazing - dedicated to her work, kind and caring. She has gone out of her way time and time again to ensure my father is being well taken care of. Wonderful facility - I spent some time looking at other facilities in Albuquerque...this facility was clean, beautiful, and more reasonably priced when compared to other facilities. The eating regiment is more versatile compared to other facilities as well - more accessible to my father's needs and personal preferences - no set eating times....not to mention, their location is ideal for me and my family. Great job Palmilla! Keep up the excellent work!!!

I can't say enough good things about this community! My mom was one of the first residents in the memory care unit in July 2016. She had previously lived in two memory care communities, but neither compared to this one. Sadly, my mom passed away in September 2016. Even though she had only lived there for about 3 months, we had strong connections with all members of the staff. I miss going there to visit and try to stop in to see my mom's special caregivers when I can. They certainly cared for my mom as part of their family and I will ALWAYS remember the time she spent there. Thank you for making my mom's last moments in life comfortable and fulfilling!!

The absolute best location I have found for my 85 year old. We have had her in several places over the past seven years and Palmilla is the best and last place she will live. The staff is very professional while being pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend them to you as a place to put your loved one or yourself.

My mom is doing well and in a much better community. everything is very likable and enjoyable. The people, the food, the extra activities. It worked out very well and is a perfect fit.

This a great community for great care. The staff is outstanding and friendly. We liked that this is the new community with a good location for me to see my father. He is the offer to join in with the activities when they offered. I like knowing that he is under great care and I would recommend other families to look into the community for a loved one.
