It wasn't a good experience because they told me they could take care of her and then 3 days later said they weren't equipped for her. She's not there anymore.

They need to make a big improvement with the food. Need to be more organized with the medication. Need to schedule the showers so the residents don't have to wait all day for the showers people to show up. They don't know if they should go for breakfast or change their cloths because they don't know when they will show up.

I would tell other looking to make sure you are aware of actually pricing and what is used to determine levels of care. It is a nice facility, but the level of care costs were not.

My friend has lived at Las Soleras for a number of years. I am a frequent visitor. Problems: constant staff turnover, including management; extremely poor meal service in terms of consistent food choices/availability; inconsistent cooking and wait staff; extremely long waits for meals. Repairs on apartments are also inconsistent and slow to be completed. Corporate owners/investors have no concern for running a smooth, welcoming and healthy senior facility, cutting corners, micromanaging management and treating staff and residents with disregard. It’s a beautiful physical plant with an infected core.

Make sure to read the fine print of their contact. They charged my mother for 60 days of services she did not receive. The care was mostly acceptable however the staff was always rushed when taking care of my mother. Staff turn over was definitely a problem.

Too big to care, lots of turnover,

My mom needs assisted living temporarily after she had a fall. She has made some friends but in the month and a half she has been there, they have lost all of their serving staff in the dining room because of corporate greed. All of their management staff has been very slow to respond to any questions or concerns. My mom never got an orientation. The food is ok at best. They rated me mom at a care level 5 just to get the most bang for “her” buck. Ver few of the activities are actually run by staff and very few are actually in place. Very disappointed with all the promises made but not delivered.

I guess it's no worse than any other but services keep getting cut, food going downhill, and there's a shortage of workers. At least our Golden retriever has more room outside than other places I looked at.

While this facility has some staff that is genuinely caring, the services promised are lacking for the cost. Things that are promised that are not delivered: healthy, tasty food, weekly cleaning services, group exercise classes and fast response time. When the room cleaning is done, it is poor. They need more help, but the cost should be decreased if there is not enough staff to do as promised. Management says they are responding to complaints, but nothing changes — staff just keeps fluxing. This has been a frustrating experience. We want good care and respect for our loved ones.

They do not have enough staff, especially overnight, to handle someone if they need a higher tiered level of care (which they offer for $$). Its unfortunate. They offer it....but can't possibly deliver it.

The promises from the tour didn't match once you sign up to be there I felt they are not honest with all the hidden cost and even we tried to discuss this they became very defensive and not professional Unfortunately we were already committed

It's a nice place with friendly staff. However, we were promised a lot to get us in, that never happened. This as well as a big rent increase is why mom moved.

My parents lived in AL for 20 months. Issues from day one with invoices. About 10 of those months were spent trying to make sense of charges and disputing them. Emails left unresponded to. Staff turnover led to miscommunication and confusion. 3 different AL head nurses during that short time. Min. # of caregivers in AL during day and typically 1 working nights which caused dangerous situations for my mom. I stayed many nights due to lack of help. I increased level of care on paper for both parents, $$$$, but nothing was done differently. Before they left, head nurse and manager supposedly communicated to Finance of overcharge but it became "lost". Meds were delayed many times. NP from provider changed 3 times. Food was usually poor quality, missing order. They moved out first week of month and pd whole month. 2 months now, still no refund for the rest. We will be charged $[removed] for norm wear and tear on small bedroom carpet. This place made so much work for me. Much money wasted.

Things that were supposed to be being done were not. After several requests many of the problems were still not being addressed or taken care of. Another resident kept coming in my mom’s room and stealing stuff from her. They were asked several times to keep her door locked but even after several request it was not being done.

Had issues with surprise billing and communication about my loved one in a timely manner. Administrative staff constantly gave me the run around. Told me what I wanted to hear and lacked follow through. Had to take my loved one out of HighPointe within 9 months of being there due to the amount of issues we were having. I ended up filing a grievance with the state.

This is not the place for you: If you object to people knocking on your door at odd hours looking for people or wanting to enter your apartment. If you are not used to the loud noises of airplanes. If you do not object to noises in the wall. No one seemed to identify the problem. Probably loose pipes in the wall that band at random times of the day/evening. If you do not object to a loud, noisy dryer, they will not take out of commission. People run it late at night even with two other dryers that are perfectly fine. The front desk /marketing staff is anything but professional. They confront and yell at residents in front of others. If they have something to say they should take them aside to address any issues.

The things they could improve on: When resident pushes their button for assistance, they could at least get there in a timely manner. Several occasions when my dad would wait for an hour before someone would check on him. They also have extra charges if they have to do extra laundry, trash or cleaning anything that is not on the specific day. They were not up front about these charges.

If you have alot of money....otherwise, broken promises, high staff turn over from top down, yearly rent increases $[fee removed]/mth., so so food. Front office closes door and hides when there is a concern/complaint-or say they'll fix and dont. Alot to say, do your research before signing the dotted line... Memory care staff is awesome, if they don't let them go.

My 88-year-old father lived at Peakview for about one year. Prior to his move, we had toured about 5 other assisted living facilities and thought Peakview would be a good choice. From the beginning, we experienced issues where services and ADL care tasks were not being performed by Peakview staff. The tasks detailed in his care plan such as laundry, changing of bed linens, shower assistance, and grooming were simply not being completed. As family members, we were constantly following up to why these services were not being done. Every time we visited my father, we wondered what issue we would have to deal with. When we contacted Peakview management regarding these issues, we were always politely told that they would be addressed. Unfortunately, nothing ever changed. We also experienced issues with Peakview’s medical management process and medication chain-of-custody. At one point, we considered contacting the State of Colorado to file a complaint.

I think for independent living or for a low level of assisted living it is probably fine. But they are NOT equipped to handle higher level of care assisted living. This is despite them doing 2 different assessments of my mother in law and assuring us they could provide level 5 assisted living care and that she could stay there through end of life. We had lots of issues with her receiving medication regularly!
