At first they went all out and the food was delicious. It's really gone downhill. the menu is really repetitive. they don't have enough menu choices, that's the biggest complaint my mother has. Their selling point was that they would be able to take her to doctor appointments. Now if it's over 10 miles then it's $30. I was very disappointed in that because the point is to get her to these appointments when I'm working. Albuquerque is not a huge city so you have to go where their doctors are. I haven't seen them clean but I can tell that it's not being cleaned the way I would clean. Not that it's dirty but they just don't do the extra touches. The place is beautiful but I just don't think they're coming through with their promises. Overall they're good but they come on strong with all these things that are not really panning out. I can't say that it's not good but it's not the top quality that they gave in the first month.

My least ,not sure I could see myeslf living there. Not easy feeling.

I toured and things seemed kind of chaotic. The director was not present or active in any of the routines of the residents' lives there. The nursing staff was very kind but I'd be concerned if there is no follow up with the director. The sales person was helpful but no follow through after the initial tour. It is a new, beautiful community but that does not always mean everything. I would be concerned if I left my loved one here if she would have follow through on her care needs. The food was delicious though. And the activities had much variety. Did smell of urine in some places at times.

GOOD things: The Director gave us a very complete tour. Independent & assisted were in separate wings (good). Very clean. Appeared to be well managed. BAD things: Too small. Not enough other couples to socialize with.

Nice new place, but not great outdoor landscaping/enclosed and staff felt less than warm.

Enjoyed meeting with the director. Call Pendents monitored by them. Spacious apt. looks promising

I think Mother would like the menu here better possibly. Didn't feel as welcoming as Villa Vent. 2 yrs old, obviously a lot newer facility, residents haven't got the hx there that VV has. Still it didn't have that little town feeling to it. Meals are a point system to use, Not sure that Mother would understand this for a while.

this place is big. Lots and lots of activities. I got mixed up about where I was on the tour - lovely place (3 stories)

Facility was beautiful, lacking in grounds for residents to walk through, construction on pool has started but that will be the only outside area for residents. For a one bedroom 865 sq ft, it starts at 2900.00. No lease requirement, month to month rental. Had lunch food was wonderful. he liked the facility but not the fact that there are very little grounds, pool in progress and that the facility is only one third full.

The community has had a very good covid plan and has kept the residence safe. They do have a high turnover and the food is not very good at all. Talk to the residence to see their perspective also. I would say look around and if you want an active community there might be others that are better

My mother moved into The Enclave at Cedar Park Independent Living shortly after it opened last spring. It is a lovely facility with friendly staff, however it has been poorly managed from the beginning. 1.The kitchen continues to be understaffed (they say because of the high unemployment rate), with at times an hour's wait to order. A buffet service has recently been instituted so that residents can serve themselves. In addition, the promised Bistro has yet to be functional. 2. Screen doors were not properly installed and will not completely close, which allows insects into the apartments. 3. Pest management is lacking. Ants and other larger bugs and insects are a problem that doesn't seem to go away. In my mother's advanced years, I had hoped she could be happy living in a place that would make her life carefree and enjoyable. However, The Enclave's shortcomings have caused much stress to my mother and her family, as well as other residents with whom I have spoken. One would hope that there would be some reduction in rent as The Enclave addresses these issues, but so far that has not been the case. I am writing this review so that those contemplating a move to The Enclave will know that all is not as it seems when touring the facility. And I hope that my mother's new home can soon live up to to what was promised!

I left Shawnee Hills to live at Overland Park Place in a similar room for over $1000 per month less rent. That was a year ago. I have now saved over $12,000. I am glad I moved. I would do it again.

This is a wonderful place if you are independent or in the beginning stages of assisted care support. The activities are great, the people are nice. However, with more advanced medical and assisted care needs, the quality is simply not there. Poor communication and medical coordination as well as difficult termination processes with increased charges done without family approval created more stress and many emails with management. Line staff are also not trained well to deal with day to day challenges of someone who needs more care and can seem frustrated.

Workers are first class always helpful and friendly! Lombard Place is nicely decorated, clean and provides a cheerful atmosphere. One serious deficit is the POOR quality and very limited selection of food they serve They use canned vegetables for their meals. Often they only offer poor health choices for lunch and dinner (using the same menu of the day for both lunch and dinner). For example they'll offer a choice between polish sausage, hamburger or pizza. For the price of this otherwise nice residence, I find it appalling the quality of their food is so poor. In my opinion Lombard Place needs to consider using fresh vegetables (not just canned) and offer healthy food choices.

Apartment was very small. Dining experience left a lot to be desired not due to food due to rules of management. Residents very friendly. Management at facility difficult and unreasonable.

I was not impressed with this community. It did not seem clean and had a terrible smell. The staff were nice and they offer activities.

My mom and dad are not there anymore. It will not fit the needs for them. They were able to provide to make them comfortable.

The community at Three Oaks Assisted Living was wonderful when our loved one first arrived but things have changed. The community has reduced the staff because of recent resident vacancies. The staff that are left are stretched very thin in having to assist all of the residents. My loved one has not been receiving the level of care that they were once providing when our loved one first moved in.

My family member has lived at the Homestead for nearly 5 years. I was initially thrilled with the facility, however, over the past year, things have deteriorated. Multiple construction /renovation projects have been ongoing for the past 5 months. A garage/storage unit for residents has reduced the number of visitor parking spaces significantly. In my opinion, new carpet on the staircase has too much padding, making it a safety hazard for residents with compromised motor skills. The new furniture in the entry area is not at all comfortable and is not what is shown on this website. New chairs were installed in the beauty salon over a year ago. Standard foot rests are a safety for residents with reduced physical mobility issues. I initially spoke with the administrator a year ago about possibly ordering ADA compliant footrests. Those footrests have not yet arrived although I have been told on multiple occasions they are coming. Transportation services and activities for residents and family members have decreased. Finally, the quality of food served in the dining room has consistently declined. I am saddened that despite the efforts of many dedicated employees, the Homestead is not the same facility if was 5 years ago and I can no longer recommend it to those searching for a homelike long-term care residence.

I have had four family members at Hickory View for many years since 2001 -- it is now early April 2016. The new manager (since late 2015) has made many changes that are not for the better: adding garages for the cottages, at the expense of parking for visitors is clearly not an improvement. There have been several construction and reconfiguration projects inside that took months (many months!) to finish -- and some are still not yet complete. These unfinished projects are a hazard to residents and unsightly to everyone. Recently, we were informed that staffers are no longer available to move residents' furniture (a regular bed to the closet to make way for a hospice bed). Our family member was also told that she may not take a banana from the breakfast area to eat in her room -- that the banana must be eaten in the dining room. Really? A banana must cost all of $.14. The shuttle bus availability is much curtailed, and outings are less frequent. I understand that this is a for-profit business, but I am sure that just the mismanagement of recent construction projects have cost much more than the shuttle service, staff helpers, and a whole crate of bananas. I know that many of the staff -- some of whom have been there many years longer than the new manager -- are embarrassed and disenfranchised as well. While the facility is nice, at this time, I cannot recommend Hickory View because of the decreasing level of services provided, lack of parking, poor morale, low visibility of the site manager (I have not yet even seen her), and silly 'rules' in the dining room.
