Mother in law was there for 5 years in Memory Care. Staff on that locked-down 2nd floor were minimally trained. Often called me late at night with "Uh, you MiL needs you." as she's in the background "Help me, come get me, help me". They couldn't handle simple diversion. This place is VERY pricey - when Mom became incontinent her monthly fee went from $5k to over $7k !!!! Then the kicker - we gave notice 3 differnt times that we were moving her out. Moved her out on [date removed] and they dinged her checking account for $7k for OCTOBER! they said "well, you didn't give us WRITTEN notice". Uh - they've been giving medications and etc for the last 5 months withOUT a signed Care Plan (by me) NO signature, no comment of "we have to stop until we get a WRITTEN signature from you". They essentially STOLE the $7k from my MiL. We've been very fair and understanding with them for 5 years (that's approx $360,000 we've paid) and what do they do? Stick us for $7k saying "it wasnt a WRITTEN notice!!!!!!" How sad. How greedy. How UNprofessional! RUN, don't walk AWAY from HighPointe Denver!

I toured this facility the other day. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. I didn't get to see his interaction with the residents nor was I able to see the residents "in action" at a planned activity. The facility is very nice/rooms are very nice. I need to go back and try to get a feel for interaction between residents and workers. Are residents happy? Are workers happy?

Very nice place At present majority of residential population is female, I believe my Dad needs more balance.

The community is very nice, fairly new. Toured it twice for a family member. I felt like it was a really intense sales pitch. Pricing for care levels increases by about $500 per care level. So one of the most expensive communities for care levels we have toured. By the time you add up the base rate/rent for a room and a higher care level - it is priced a lot more than similar communities in the area. The smallest studios are very small - barely fitting a twin bed, a tall dresser and maybe an occasional chair. The larger the room - the more costly and very high rate increases for the more square footage. The activities seem ok and the outside garden areas are nice. Knowing how quickly the monthly care level rate could increase and not being guaranteed a care level lock in rate for 3-6 months would be main reason we wouldn't choose HighPointe.

The Enclave is a beautiful facility with well appointed hallways and seating areas. The dining room is lovely as well. However the food is average at best. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can only comment on the food server at dinner. I’ve had very few dinners since I moved here two months ago that I would say were good. The meat is tough, vegetables are from a can, the lettuce is iceberg not Romaine or butter lettuce, I have not seen steak yet on the menu, desserts are often stale and will have the same dessert on the menu for three days straight. They taste like they were from the freezer. They don’t have freshly baked bread or rolls servedwith the entrées. Although the aesthetics are very pleasant here and the staff are very nice if you were a foodie you will be very disappointed. And for what I’m paying for rent I would expect better food.

There are a couple of things that are not nice about this place. To begin with, while we came to tour the facility they had no apartment models to look at. The staff would just knock on people’s door and have us see their apartments. We said that wasn’t necessary to which they replied “No it’s ok I’ve done this multiple times”. The tenant that answered the door laughed and responded “I guess one more wouldn’t hurt”. We almost left immediately. The other people there told us that it was very nice and there were others that left the facility completely. Everything was much smaller, more expensive, seemed very disorganized, and it definitely felt like a nursing home. You don’t necessarily want to see people lounging about in their wheelchair not being active with activities like how other places encourage such actions. They also seemed very arrogant. They were very pushy with getting us to sign right after we toured the place. They kind of gave us the impression “take us as we are or don’t let the door hit you on the way out”.

We have had a lot of trouble with billing, but the folks have all been very nice.

It is a new community where they are still trying to get their act together. The food is not good here. The prices went up the day before we were to sign the contract. It was like a bait and switch deal.

My dad was here for respite for a couple of weeks. He stayed here after being in the hospital and they provided the help but they did not do any rehab with him. He wasn't too thrilled about the facility. He said it was old looking and outdated. The parking situation was not good too.

On the tour I seen a vert nice assisted living section and the memory care too. it was not as nice and seem isolated. I felt they were not willing to negotiate the price and I felt there was room to wiggle with the pricing.

My loved one has recently moved into this community and I have to say there is room for improvement. There has been a huge turn over in the staff and it is making things difficult and a little unorganized. The food is not what it was when she first moved in and has recently started to loose its quality it once had. I am just hoping they can find some stable staff members for these residents who know what they are doing and stop the turn overs.

The building is well kept. However the food is terrible, it is very costly and make sure you understand what assistance you need becasue the cost is just added to your bill. Also do not expect quick replies to any of your questions.

All is well for my father at this community. They are taking good care of him, and his needs. I'am pleased with all they have for our family.

I toured this community for care for my mom. I was able to talk with the staff who were nice and friendly. The community was not what we were wanting for the care for my mom. I suggest that families take a c tour for the care and the cost of a loved one.

This review is specifically about Memory Care. Fortunately there is a management change coming soon (March 2017) and hopefully this improves the poor communication, the medical care and lack of employee motivation. Most aides are caring and good, the management has been the issue as there just has to be corporate policies which are not being followed. Food is average at best. Activities seem ok. Communication and more important follow-through on medical issues, medication, etc. is a struggle at best.

My mom is doing fine in her new home. She has been enjoying the good meals with the many activities that they have. She feels they do not need improvements and the staff are doing a good job. I find the community kept clean always.

I toured this community for the care of my mom. This community was not what we were looking for at the time. We found that the staff was very nice and friendly. We liked that it was clean and maintained. They would have offered her activities. We suggest other families see this community for the care of a loved one.

My tour of this community was a good one. Everyone was very kind to my family and I. The tour went well, and the community appeared to well maintained. The staff I came across was friendly and nice. It was a pleasant experience, but we did find a community that was closer to us.

Were promised a lovely assisted living apartment and at last minute was told my dad was going to have to go to Memory Care due to concerns about him walking out which was a concern of mine as well but my father obviously was not placed correctly. He still has good thinking skills and thrives on stimulating conversations, reads the paper every day and is still working part time at 90 years old. That being said, i don't deny that his memory is failing and all the signs and characteristics of Alzheimer's has begun to surface.The floor he was on was on lock down, no one to talk to, food terrible, door to his apartment not able to lock and people wandering in and out of his room! Consequently I had to hire outside sources to help e keep an eye on him AND take him out when he was losing his mind being locked up. This is what i paid $8.000.00 for the first month! Finally after much calling and getting VOYCE involved and 2 assessments, it was determined that he was eligible for Assisted Living. Another expense to pay movers a second time. So i am hoping things will smooth out now that he is on the Assisted Living floor. ON A GOOD NOTE>>>I want to also add that the workers on each floor as well as the servers in the dining room have been awesome!! Very personable and have taken excellent care and attention whenever I have spoke to them and/or have observed their interaction with the residents. It is because of them that I still have hope that this place will work out. Thank you for reading and taking my thoughts into serious consideration.
