Overall I've been impressed with Park Meadows Senior Living, I've had experience with quite a few communities and this is one of the better communities I've seen. For the most part the staff have all been very friendly, although there have been exceptions. The director of the memory care section has been fantastic, he is very friendly, and always willing to discuss any questions or concerns about care. There have been issues with certain members of the cooking staff when my loved one requests vegan options. One thing I have to mention is that both my loved one and I have had issues with a few people here, both residents and staff, treating us poorly based on being people of color. It has improved a bit over time, but it is still extremely unpleasant to deal with and still happens from time to time.

A Great Place for Seniors. The staff are all exceptional especially Debbi Bruni , the director of the Residents Club. The community is friendly, clean and run smoothly. The food was ok but feeding so many with different dietary needs is a challenge. Un fortunately, our Mother did not like it there because there were no Asians living in the community and we did not realize how difficult it was to stay the course , to allow Mom to get accustomed to this great place. Mom needed assisted and perhaps more memory care assistance than we realized. We were not in complete accord ( the four of us children ) and therefore, our brother took Mom out. If I had to do it over again, I would insist that Mom stay there at least a month, not just 1 week to really give them a good chance to succeed with Mom.

Palmilla has been a great experience for my parents. They're in an independent living apartment. The only thing i would fault at all is the food. the program is great - they can eat anytime between 7am and 7pm in a restaurant-style setting - but the menu doesn't change a lot and the food is pretty bland and not as healthy as it could be - too many processed foods and very few sugar or gluten substitutes. I wonder if they believe older people don't taste as much - my parents do - but are satisfied with everything else so much that they don't complain. i think it's not complaining - but helping Palmilla to give the very best living experience. Everything in the facility is kept very clean; the staff is caring and friendly and helpful; there are a lot of fun and interesting activities that my parents enjoy daily; and the best thing is that I don't have to worry - they are happy and enjoying this time in their lives and especially - Palmilla is going to be there if anything happens until we can get there.

They were pretty good but a little on the expensive side. They had a separate area that was secured for memory care. The people were pretty nice.

The staff is excellent. I would like to have more options, they don't have banking options, and they won't hold money at all. They are a small facility, so I think they are limited in that respect. They take them to doctors and to church, so we are real happy with what they are offering. We have had no complaints, it's easy to get in and out of and because it's small they are able to make friends right away.

They've done a great job at this community, it's a lovely looking facility and the staff have all been very friendly and caring. Unfortunately it won't be a permanent option for us, as they are unable to accept medicaid. We did not realize this when we selected it, as our search was somewhat urgent, so I am including it in this review as a word of warning for other families in similar situations!

Excellant showers. Rooms are very small residents are tight for space. patios a okay for a dog, do have a service to pick up after the dog and walk the dog. Food is bad, over cooked, just tastes bad. wilted salad, pie had to be scraped off the plate like everything was dished up hours ago and reheated. Beautiful building,new, lots of people out playing cards etc.

My mom used to live there about two years ago. That was when it was just starting up and she's highly impatient and was not satisfied with the social activities at that place. But it was only a third full at the time. We couldn't convince her to wait a few months and see if it changed. She couldn't wait so she went back to her home which hadn't sold yet.

I think my mom liked it but I don't think she was in a place where she could see her self downsizing into that small of a studio. Because it is a large facility her first comment was that she felt like she was in a time share. It's very busy and social and I loved the atmosphere but because this was one of the first places she saw, my mom couldn't get past the idea that she had to get rid of all her possessions. I think that kind of tainted her view of it.

The caregivers and the girls are fine, im having issues with a couple of peopel in the administration, I don't find them very personable. They have been accomodating and I'm not saying they have to greet me everytime I walk in the door, I just find them "matter of fact" like "This is the issue, we solved that, that's done". I won't say all of them, just a couple of them. Up until recently I was very pleased with the care, I would have preferred if the checked on her more and if they have pull cords in the bathrooms like the do by the beds. I've been happy except for that one day, I've been pleased will of of that except for the occurance that happened and the girl that was scheduled the day this occured, I told her that I wasn't pleased with the situation and she said she was very sorry it happened, they're usually more up on stuff. There are more people living there now than when my mother first moved it, so I don't know if the staff is low or what.

I don't have a lot to compare it to, mostly the residents don't seem all that connected with each other, the staff is really friendly, would absolutely give them a 5, there just doesn't appear to be a lot of intereaction at all between the residents that I've witnessed. I can't say there's cliques but there was one time when my loved one asked to sit at a table and they said no. They claim that they're happy just to stay in their room, but the staff does make an effort to get them out fo their room and do things. They have a residents club which is their welcoming memory group for new residents but my loved one hasn't really gotten in to that. We have had a hard time with one particular issue which seems like a simple thing that should be managed by them. That was my main issue with the care but other than that its been fine.

They're very friendly and it's very clean. They came down on their price for us. If it was their original price I would've felt it was a little overpriced. It's a small community so my father gets very individualized care but there also aren't that many men there. There are maybe 5 of 6 other men and not too many men's activities. There's a men's group, a card group, and a men's movie night, but it's limited. My father needs medication management and they weren't ready to give him his medication the first night he was there. I'm not sure what the problem was but that is the only problem we've had. The community is brand new. It's only a year and half old. My dad likes the meals and has been eating very well since he's been there.

The residents here seemed excited and happy with what Rigden Farms is going. They are a newer community so everything is very clean and well maintained. The apartments have cook tops so allow for a little more variety in cooking. Because it is a new community the trees are not as mature as other places, but on the 3rd floor there is a patio with a great view of the mountains. The commons spaces here seem more desirable and comfortable then at other communities. The residents are livelier and the people here seem to be more vibrant. 1Bedroom 1Bathroom apartments are comparable in prices to other communities, right around $2,000.

The deciding factor between our top 2 communities was the location of the community. Lincoln Meadows was conveniently located for our family so it really made the difference. The community overall is really good and we are very pleased with it. We would recommend this community to anyone.

Denise is fabulous - we need to bottle and sell her spirit and enthusiasm. She talked to Mom and already identified a great group of women for her to be a part of. Very focused on integration which was important to us as Mom can be quite shy. New facility - smelled good - staff knew the residents by name. Apartments nice, bright, but no one bedrooms available and we want to move Mom in May. Only downside is Mom did not enjoy potential interaction with the Alzheimer's patients - brought back memories of her Aunt at a memory care facility. The other is the location on 4 corners - safety for driving out of parking lot on to busy street, walking (and no treadmill in the fitness center). If Mom had Alzheimer's, this would be the #1 choice.
