I was not impressed with the set up of this community and the way that the residents were housed. It looked like a nursing home and I wanted different for my loved one.

We chose Green Oaks because the tour experience was great, we got a good feeling and liked the atmosphere, and the apartments were much roomier than other places that we looked into. It is also more reasonably priced for what you get. She is happy as a clam and is always busy doing activities with her friends. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We chose Dougherty Ferry because it just seemed like the right fit compared to the other facilities that we looked into. They do have some very caring staff members, a couple really stand out to us. There are some hidden things that you find out once you move in such as how medical things are handled and you do have to supply some things yourself.

We had a really good overall experience with the tour. [Name removed] was perfect. [She] was quite knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We believe budget-wise this is not a fit for us. Thanks for the experience.

Overall it's been a really good experience. It's a good price for what you get. The staff are really good. Like any other place right now, they need to hire more people. But that's outside of their control with the current Covid challenges.

My mother has been a resident for about 3 months. I like that they keep the place clean. The accommodations are nice and the staff is responsive to requests. I wish the food was a little healthy. Activity schedule looks robust-not sure if they always occur.

I'm happy here. The people are very friendly. It's very clean, and everybody is very helpful. We have lots of activities to do, and you can choose whatever you want. I love my apartment as well.

He seems very content at Green Oaks. We had a couple of minor issues, one of which was that his apartment is very far away from the elevators so we had to buy him a scooter. Other than that he has been very happy here and I would definitely recommend them.

The overall experience has been good. My wife and I moved here in August 2019. We located here because of the close proximity to health care facilities and two of our children were near by. The staff has always been responsive to our needs and are making a good effort to upgrade in a competitive environment. Overall we feel this is the right place for us.

Park Meadows is very nice. They have a lot of activities provided for the residents. The rooms are small but they are set up nicely so it doesn't feel too tight. They actually accepted my loved one but lost staff the next day so they would not have been able to accommodate the care he needed.

I moved in here (to independent living) knowing that I would be a bit younger than the majority of residents. There ARE some other folks here my age, but I have found it hard to connect with them. With that exception, I am very glad to be here. Feels safe, the entire staff is wonderful.

Due to the lack of available staffing, the service and meals have slipped during the last month and a half. Because of servers and cooks shortage there hasn’t been a selection for meals. The care is good but can be a little off for the residents when temporary or outsourced care isn’t familiar with the routine. Hopefully staffing levels can get back to capacity so the level of service that was exceptional in July returns.

Good Community, just not the right fit for my mom.

Park Meadows is a large facility, it did not feel cozy to me. I was not the biggest fan of the apartment set up and also I needed a place that came already furnished and that was not offered here.

HighPointe is a beautiful facility and the tour was great, but it was just too big for my loved one who likes to wander.

They're super friendly and very accommodating. They were very nice when my loved one first moved in. She was injured, and they got us in very quickly and got her comfortable. They have PT and OT on site, so that helped her a lot too. I could call the sales person, business office, anybody, and they were all readily available to answer my questions. The food I tried was very good, and they have a brand new executive chef. My loved one seems to like the food and the variety. With Covid, there hasn't been a whole lot of activities going on. But overall, I think they've done a great job with her.

What I really like about Palmilla Senior Living is that they know everyone's name. Every time I walk in they knew who I am and I appreciate that. They have been really willing to work with me, any concerns or questions I have they immediately respond to it. I would recommend to other families looking.

The cleanliness of the community and the friendliness of the people we first met really stood out to us. We aren't exactly sure what activities our loved one is participating in but we do know they have plenty going on.

This community was great it was just not the right fit for what we needed at the time for our loved one.

I would like to first say that the staff and all that I've had contact with has been so professional, kind and empathetic. I really could not be happier with the care that my father is receiving. The only negative would be the dining situation. When we toured the facility (before Covid), the restaurant was opened all day and you could have a meal at anytime. My father has not experienced that luxury as he moved in a few months ago and came in when dining times were on a set schedule. Since that time and obviously because of staffing issues the meals are now being delivered to the rooms. As everyone knows, this is not ideal and limits socialization which is one of the reasons we thought he should make the move. I am hoping that the dining situation recovers and will go back to the all day dining option.
