I have a family member that resides here. This place is the absolute WORST with communication!! They didn’t send a monthly bill in order for us to write a check and BLAMED it on us and charged late fees. They are unprofessional and cannot take responsibility for their own mistakes as a business. They also DID NOT notify us when our loved one was having problems swallowing. We were only called to be notified that they were going to be starting HOSPICE for her because of her drastic amount of weight loss. WHY was nothing done? Don’t take your loved ones here, EVER

I moved my mom in Nov 2016, I have since moved her out. As the changes approached my mom had fallen several times, some I were aware of others, I was not. I would see new scrapes that weren't there the prior week. She was added on a medication that I was not notified about until I got her pharmacy bill, which I was told could increase falls. I brought in walking and when I moved her out she was in a wheelchair. Very disheartening....

Would not recommend this facility. The management is very unresponsive to your concerns, they are only concerned with making a profit. The facility is very short staffed therefore services that you pay for are not being provided. Weeks can go by without the rooms being cleaned or the laundry being done. Think long and hard before placing your loved one here

The place is clean; the people are friendly. My mother would ring her bell for help. It sometimes took up to 30 minutes for an aide to arrive. That is a really long time to wait for help getting to and from the bathroom. If she requested pain medicine,often it took another 30 minutes before the nurse arrived with her medication. Unfortunately, you are required to sign an agreement which forces you to pay an additional 30 days' rent AFTER your loved one has passed on. My mother was there for 40 days. The fees came to over $12,000 for a Studio Room. When you try to talk to someone at the facility about the ethics of charging the grieving family for a room that their loved one can no longer inhabit, they blame the home office. If you call the home office, no one answers their phone and no one returns a phone call. This is not a company worthy of your loved ones' care or your money.

Our father was in Brookdale Edina for a few days. He needs medical attention, which were promised to be met. Everything was ok, until he became short of breath and needed his nebulizer. He used the alert signal but no one came. When my sister visited him, the same thing again. My sister even went looking for a nurse, but there was no one to be found. We took him out of there after only 6 days and put him up somewhere else. Then came the bill. They charged us for the whole month plus all the services for the whole month. I asked the executive director for a prorating via email, but there was no response until a few days before the payment deadline. He apologized, wrote we could talk about prorating, but nothing became of it, because he again did not respond to my email. Our opinion is, that seniors needing special medical attention, should not go here, even though the salespeople are very nice, friendly and informative indeed. On top of that comes the uncommunicative executives who will wait things out instead of proactively meeting ones needs. A definitive no go.

It was terrible. I did not see a sign for the building and I drove around 3 times to find the entrances. The janitor had to let me in. It stinked and no one was there to talk to. It didn't look like a happy place. I did not go any further, I was not interested.

We liked this community for care. We had to leave because they did not have an RN at that time. They needed someone to help with medication. There was no one for assistance with medication. The staff was great and the meals were outstanding. We had to leave due to no assistance. We would not recommend this community to other families.

After 5 hours of Sales pitch they could deal with my Dads behavior issues, they shipped him out by ambulance because they could not deal with his issues. After required assessment refused to take him back. To make matters worse I paid a full month in advance and have not received refund as he was only there 1 and half days. Do not place your parents here. Wellstead of Rogers if you have behavioral problems with your loved one.

THE WELLSTEAD OF ROGERS a Senior Assisted Living Facility, corporate name Five Star Senior Living is violating rental agreements, trust of families and confusing staff. They mailed us a letter saying they're announcing exciting upgrades... Truth is.... They plan to secretly move vulnerable adults out of their individual apartments into a space designed for end stage hospice care that has 1 shower and will house 38 men. They will be confined to a hallway without outside access and without an environment they've been used to for years. Amenities that we pay for such as ice cream parlor and activities outdoors will be gone. The company has secretly disguised this as a remodel project letter, but really it's a transfer of clients. What's worse is they are deceiving the families to think it doesn't concern their specific neighborhoods, saying they will notify families affected via phone call. Staff has already been reassigned to their new unit starting Monday and they plan on moving these people without Power of Attorney consent and families authorizing it. The staff is against these changes as they know it's not ethical, and against the best interest of clients. It will cause damage to the residents that already suffer by creating Transfer Trauma. We have contacted the people in charge and they refuse to answer our calls to hear our concerns. They know they are not acting in the best interest of the clients and are not giving these seniors the dignity they deserve and the lifestyle they pay for. I am hoping that this corporation changes course and stops treating seniors like cattle. It would be great if they really stood behind their core values they boast about, putting the people's cares first. FIVE STAR SENIOR LIVING is UNETHICAL. Beware of this place trust me staff never comes to your room when you call ...they change eds like I change my clothes .....every one is nice but one ....[Removed] memory care don't go to that side she is rude says she will help you lies ......just to get you in there plus all the hidden fees you don't see until mom moves in then they hit you with the actual price .........every year they go up 6 to 8 percent on your rent ........it's nothing but a bad place .........

It is a beautiful comfortable and friendly home.

I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. I could not have asked for nicer people as far as administration but that's where it ended. Our loved one was not taken care of and was extremely ill when he left. He had a horrible bladder infection, low potassium levels, was severely dehydrated, had pneumonia in his upper and middle parts of his right lung, high blood pressure and had lost a ton of weight in the short 10 week period he had been there. I cannot stress enough how badly this poor man had to have been in pain from the bladder infection. How could they not know he had an infection when he had such a dark color urine? Did they not see this when his diaper was getting changed? The list could go on as to how badly he was neglected. So, so, sorry with the decision we made to place him there. By the way, he was NOT in this condition when he was placed there with the exception of the pneumonia. Every time we asked about his cough we were told the same thing, he's getting breathing treatments twice a day. What good is that if you see no improvement? We did not place him there to die, we placed him there to get better and unfortunately that did not happen. I don't think he will ever get over this. Again, so heartbreaking to see your loved one treated this way.

horrible place. had some concerns about my mom's care and staffing. tried sending email and calling and no one answers my questions. my mom has dementia and lives in the spring house. the spring house care is aweful. my mom was told she couldn't have dessert if she didn't eat her dinner. her room was ritger too hot or cold. dont think anyone even checked the temp. the cost for care is not worth the care . turn over of staff is so great. I don't even think they are staffed fully to handle the residents they are assigned to. there are often residents roaming around looking lost and no one around to assist them. please don't buy into the talk from administration what a great place spring house is . would not recommend anyone sending their loved ones to live in the spring house memory care area.

Although this facility assured me that they could care for my father through the end of his life. We were forced to move to a group home that was able to give him the attention he and anyone suffering from advancing dementia the attention and care they need at a cost that was much more reasonable.

I can not possibly recommend this facility. I placed my mother here last spring and have had problem after problem with staff. Their care staff although some are amazing most are uncaring. You walk in to visit and find them on there phone with not a moment to spare to even take a minute to greet you or simply look up and smile. My mom is consistently soaked to the sheets from not being changed frequently. The resident care manager claims to have been with the company for a long time yet every time I pull into the drive way I cannot help but notice her and other caregivers in the smoking area laughing and having a good time while inside there is not one worker insight and 20 residents sitting there doing nothing. Now I have voiced these concerns to the Admistrator of this campus and have felt like he couldn't believe this stuff was happening yet no follow thru or change. I believe they have no clue to the extent that there nursing manager has damaged their reputation. I recently went out to lunch with 5 other spouses of Farmington residents and they all in some capacity are upset with what has happened since this new manager started. If upper Managment or owners care about these wonderful seniors please take a moment to see what is happening. Listen to family concerns and the few great staff you have. I'm currently looking for another home for my mother.

Looks and feels like a nursing home. One of the bingo prizes was a small bottle of bubbles. They aren't children.

The care staff was very nice. ED there is very rude.the sales person was out an the ED had us waiting for a hour. Care staff kept checking in on us..I just recently found out that there is a sexual assult claim against the Maintenance Guy there filed with DADS. He is the ED friend who she brought with her from her old job..an she is trying to cover it up..family wasn't told about this not even the resident that was involved family was told, an the guy still works there..decided not to move mom in. The ED there seems very shady..

Don’t send your love one to live here. Mulberry presents like a wonderful place to live when you tour the facility. Once you are moved in it is a different story, so unless you have unlimited hours to check up and make sure the promises are being kept keep looking! Mulberry promises things they can’t deliver on: Laundry every week, good meals, great care etc. You play by their rules or they throw the resident out. There aren’t enough aides to go around and the aides have to waitress three times a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meal times last over 2 hours because the aides are busy getting the residents their meals. The residents are gathered up by the aides forced to sit in the dining area for 2 hours while the aides change their aprons (literally) and then take orders and deliver the cold food! It isn’t until the cold food is served to each resident that then the residents can be taken back to their rooms. Again, literally two hours 3 times a day. Have a meal there and look at these poor people sit there for the entire meal: it is painful. And if a resident needs assistance during this 6 hours a day - forget it, because the residents live around Mulberry’s schedule The nursing staff is GREAT, no problems what-so-ever, it is the management that you will have problems with. Your requests will be for nothing. You can request this or that four, five times and NO one in management does a thing about it. They will tell you “well we told so and so I guess someone didn’t get the message.” The communication between management and aides is poor to say the least, yet management tells you “call us” with any concerns. Plus management is flat out rude! As if you are a bother! Some of the aides are good but the turnover is ridiculous. There is a revolving door and it is VERY confusing for the residents having someone new come into your room every other week. This is not an exaggeration, read the employees comments on the website Glassdoor. If you are lucky enough to have an aide that sticks around for more than a month you might be semi okay until Mulberry gives them five days off in a row then you are screwed because your loved one will have someone who knows nothing about them and could care less. Management treats these employees like dirt and they are very rude to them. At night after 8 pm there is NO management in the building and NO ONE in sight you can roam the halls and not see an aide or nurse anywhere. They give showers to residents at ten o’clock at night because there aren’t enough aides during the day (probably because they are waiting tables). Put a monitor in your loved one’s room so you can monitor them! Mulberry isn’t watching them so do yourself a favor install a nanny cam so you don’t worry every night and day. I have had family in here and another assisted living facility and this is not the place to be. If your loved one doesn’t require ANY kind of care okay but not if they need assistance. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. They might qualify as a “senior living” facility but NOT an Assisted living!

After 5 months we need to move my mother to a facility truly able to care for her. [removed] Do not carry out doctors orders. Crisis consistently on weekends when management is not there. In 40 days my mother was sent to 3 hospitals and rehabs. [removed] When administration knew we were going to take mom out of this place due to [removed] we got an order she needed a nursing home. No family council meetings keep families from knowing bad care is happening to more than us. Definitely falsely advertised as memory care facility. [removed]
