One staff member in the dining room "waiter" is not friendly and shouldn't be working there. Nursing staff don't communicate with each other so no one knows what's going on. I relay info and they say ok and that's it. I have to keep reminding them to give my mom a shower even though she is supposed to be on a shower schedule it will be a full week and I have to say something to them this has happened more than once. You are supposed to be able to visit 24/7 but they lock the doors at 8 and no one answers the doors. Me and one of the nurses got into it and she had a very bad attitude and nothing has been done about it. She just laughed at my concerns. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!

They make many promises fur fail to deliver consistently on any of them. I would look for a different facility. I cannot recommend this place.

We were fooled by the tour. Friendliness - depends on who. Nursing/caregivers can be good, depends on the person. Administrative staff are unfriendly/hostile/hide. Meals are horrible. Activities - when caregivers let patients know it is happening! But I need others to know they put on a good presentation but don't live up to the presentation. Always come in unannounced after your tour. Some places we visited didn't bother to hide things from us, which is why we didn't choose them. But it's also just harmful to think you're getting one thing and you're gonna get something completely different, because they put on a show.

There is no memory care at this community. Dining is different than most communities - there is no central dinning area. There are several small dining area scattered throughout the facility. Based off of the experience, I would not recommend Brookdale Northville.

Not good at all for people with Alzheimer’s that need total care. I took my mom out of there & placed her elsewhere. Wasn't very happy with the care there. It was suggested by A Place For Mom

It was not a positive experience and would not be one of my choices for my Mom, at least at this time. I found that they didn't communicate with me as much as I would have liked, I found out things by asking every day, how my Mom was doing. It is important to me to have communication with the staff about what's going on with my mother.

My low scores are based on more than one occasion of my loved one needing assistance in the evenings. One time they had an UTI and needed someone to bring them a catheter from the bathroom to their bed, so they could self catheterize. They would not do this. I had to leave work to come and hand them a catheter

There was significant issues with medications, trash removal, cleaning of the room, and laundry. They are working to fix these things but they will have to regain my trust. They need more fun activities for the residents. The food definitely needs help all meals.

They are understaffed & overwhelmed. On top of that, they went thru a management change [date removed] & are struggling with issues related to that. I would not recommend Orchard Park at Southfork at this time.

Administration is full of false promises. Frequent staff changes and lack of communication between staff. Very few care givers performed satisfactory levels of care. Housekeeping was almost non existent the past two years except trash removal. Had to hire outside staffing agency to assure proper care was provided. Activity Director was the bright spot. Highly recommend active family involvement to assure resident's wellbeing and care needs are being met. Facility and corporate regularly fails to return phone calls and provides false information on a regular basis. The building itself was nice. With current administration, I would not recommend this facility.

My mom was only there for about 3 months - Overall it was NOT the right fit for mom or for me - moved her to a smaller facility which has been excellent! It's all about selecting a home that meets you, your loved one's needs! It is not a "one size fits all " decision!

My mom [name removed] enjoyed living at Olympic West but unfortunately when she moved out they continued to charge her a monthly rent even after she moved to another facility and when we contacted they to get our money returned all they've managed to do is ignore us so I have had to make contact with my mom's bank to dispute the charge, I don't know why places like these can't just be honest and have integrity & actually do what they say.

Food is mediocre. No nutritional value at all. High on carbs and sugars. Low on taste. Transportation is limited to 3 days per week (M-W-F) with limited hours 9am-11am. Good luck getting a hair appointment within those hours. There is a on-site salon but it’s only open a couple days each week. Management more concerned about marketing events than making activities available for residents. There is an undisclosed annual increase to rent, 2024 being 11 percent and expect even higher for 2025. Recommend to use the money you’d spend here on in-home care for your loved one. Light housekeeping.

Some of the staff members are friendly. When it comes to the value for cost, they charge me for things that are crazy. Showers are [fee removed] a month. If she says no it cost [fee removed] more a month but still no shower. A lot of crazy stuff like that

My loved one is a resident at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. Everyone was super nice during the exploring and visits prior to signing the contract. Now, they don't answer emails, don't have a process to check in case my mother does not go to breakfast or dinner for several days. The price went up by over 12%. I may not recommend it to others.

Highly recommend that folks educate self on what standards you expect, don't assume you are on the same page, delve into staffing levels and very detailed descriptions of their resident standards of care. Our inquiries up front were dodged with vague answers. Fact check, monitor frequently, advocate kindly but emphatically. Resident requests for assistance to the bathroom or needing OTC medication administered going unanswered or responded to an hour later were frequent and unacceptable. Braeswood Estates staff were ill prepared for the end of life care needs for someone under hospice care the last couple of weeks. It was a serious failure and [name removed] really suffered needlessly her last 48 hours. I can accept chaos from a serious Covid outbreak the day we moved in, persistent computer systems issues, service and facility issues due to complete facility remodel, 95% changeover of management 5 months after move in, but basic resident care was truly subpar. I hope this was helpful, I sure learned a lot and share it as my peers are facing these decisions for their loved ones. There were some kind and capable aides who did their best under weak leadership.

Billing was inconsistent, cleaning of clothes was terrible. Had to bring his laundry home so items were not lost by staff. I went every other day to make sure his clothes were changed. And he had enough supplies. Toilet paper, depends. Short staffed all the time especially on weekends. Very friendly staff initially but changed when he became more of a burden and he was locked in to there system. Corporate ran system much different then when I brought him to [facility name removed]. When I informed them [name removed] passed. Received no condolences. Which seemed weird.

My comments pertain to assited living: The food is awful, and not improving, despite monthly meeting with residents who raise food/dining issues. Menu substitutes are made without notice; I'm concerned with the lack of fresh fruit and other healthy choices. I realize that food can be expensive, but better health is best achieved through healthy food selection. Most aides are committed to providing good care, but there is too high of a ratio of residents to aides. When a resident requires extra attention (for example: after a hospital stay or surgery), no extra help is given to the aide assigned to that resident, which leaves them scrambling to provide additional attention. Most problems could be solved by the owners through increased pay to attract better workers (especially in the kitchen) and additional staff to relieve overworked aides.

My loved one moved out. The memory care unit is full, and they put people who who should be in the memory care unit in the regular rooms. There were physical altercations in the dining room on more than one occasion between staff and residents. We had repeated issues with access to get into the building after 7:45 PM.

My experience was with Memory Care. I would not recommend this facility to any of my friends. I felt the staff was not fully trained. They were often short staffed. I recognize that my mom required skilled care as well as memory care. This was not the facility for that. It was not a great experience for myself or my mom.
