I love the residents.

My dad is doing fine at Orchard Park at Victory Lakes.

Things are not going as well as we had hoped at Morningside of Charlottesville. The main reason we had moved into this community was for the rehabilitation exercise programs. As of now we still have not been able to partake in the program. The issue seems to be due to new management and changes in the personnel and staff turnover. Management stated that internet was to be included in the price but we have to pay for it then they will reimburse us for our monthly payment. As of now, we have not seen the actual bill that was to be emailed to us. Some of the staff members are not treating the residents with care and gentleness, some seem rather brusque. There was an issue with the call buttons not working which was very upsetting for the residents needing assistance to the restrooms. One positive note is the food seems to be improving from when we first arrived at this community. At this point, we are unsure of what the next step should be.

I had recently taken a tour of this community and it was pleasant experience for myself. The staff where patient with my questions and made sure to answer them in great detail. I liked that it was easy to navigate throughout the property and the open floor plan. It was just not the right location in the end decision for me.

I spent a lot of time researching communities before placing my mom. I didn't spend a lot of time on this one because they don't offer memory care. The staff seemed nice and the community was clean .

The tour was nice at the Elmcroft of Rivershire. The director who gave us the tour was very hospitable and even gave us cookies wrapped to take home. It is an older community and it seemed more institutional. There was a very small uncovered outdoor area for the residents. We were looking for a more interactive outdoor area for our loved one.

I had a short experience with this community. I only had a short time period too make the decision about where to move to my mother too. I did not feel they were very able to quickly accommodate us like I needed. I did find another community that was able to accommodate us.

We toured this community. We did not like that they when I arrived that the staff did not know me. The community seemed to me clean from what I was able to see. They had activities that were going on when I arrived. I was not pleased that no one was available to assist me with the questions of what care is available.

My parent was not happy with what they saw in the community. I let them be apart of the decision making. The room that was shown did not feel like the right one. We also saw that the residents here are more further along with their dementia and alzheimer . My parent know they would not be happy here.

Nice facility, but off the beaten path,. And was not the facility that our brother would fit in at this tiime.

My brother has done a complete turn a round in his health at Brookdale Barberton. They took him off a lot of the medications he was previously taking and he has stopped smoking and is doing really well now. Most of the staff are pretty good. We've had some issues with housekeeping. We had to ask for a vacuum on different occasions and do most of the cleaning of his room ourselves. I do not know if they are understaffed or what the issue is. My brother wasn't very keen on the meals provided. They did offer other choices if he did not like the food offered. The activity director was quite good, she would try to get them involved and entertained. Outside there is a garden in the courtyard and they can sit there and on the front porch. It is a calm and small quiet community. I also want to add that I highly recommend A Place For Mom. [Removed] my senior advisor responded so quickly in helping me get my brother a place to stay.

I had a nice tour of this facility. It is a nice community with kind people. Everyone was very kind to my family, and I. The community was nice, and everything looked well-kept. The staff I met was friendly, and answered my questions. The experience was a nice one, but not the right fit for my mother.

Nice, but couldn't deal with my uncle's condition.

The staff was cordial and answered our questions. The place was clean and well maintained. We were looking for something with a bit more modern feel.

The first thing after walking in was that it reminded me too much of a hospital. The walls were all white and it just gave me the impression of a sterile environment like a hospital. I had toured the community on Mothers Day so I didn't run into a staffing. From what I saw the place was clean. The location was not an issue for me just the overall environment seemed to be lacking any personality. It just seems to be it wasn't going to be the best place for my mom

My grandmother lived here for a little over a year. I feel that overall this facility is very nice and provides good care, but has room for improvement. This would be an excellent place for someone who is still fairly independent but may need a little supervision or help. However, in my experience, it is NOT a facility for those with complex medical issues, even if that person is ambulatory and independent with ADLs. I think that the staff, while very nice and accommodating, do not have enough experience to identify and handle medical emergencies. Also, in my experience, timely communication and follow-up with family about loved ones' immediate needs could use improvement. We also had some problems with paying for extra services, but those services not being completed. PROS: nice, new facility, plenty of activities, good food, holiday gatherings with resident's families, staff is friendly, location and proximity to hospital/interstate/points of interest CONS: lack of staff training in emergency situations/how to identify when resident needs medical attention, communication and follow-up with family, paid amenities being completed

I like the care from this community. We like that the community is very clean inside and out. The staff is friendly. They need to work on communication skills. The level of care is not what we expected and some improvements are needed. We have noticed that a few things have not been attentended for my mom, like water and some personal care. We would hope that this community would work on some of the improvements. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one on their own.

My mother has recently moved into this community and I just do not think its the right fit for her. She has been wondering the halls and may need more care then they are able to provide. I will have to see how things go for her in the next week or so but I might have to look into another living situation. The property is always very clean and well maintained for all of the residents. I will give them that much

We toured this community for the care for my mom. We liked the staff was able to answer the questions but it was not the person in charge. The community was clean. We did have lunch and the food was really good. We were not impressed due to we did not have the correct person to speak with on the tour to get the answer that we had and that did not give us a good impression of this community. Other families might be happy with a tour of the community for the care of a loved one.

I took my mother our of Autumn Leaves of Pearland because they did not take good care of her. She would fall a lot and they would just pick her back up instead of making sure she was not having a heart attack or something. It was just not s a good experience for her, they have a lot to work on.
