we toured Stoneybrook Senior Living and I didn't really like the community as a whole. there wasn't much of anything going on, there were no residents or people around. it didn't have that lively feeling at all. they also did not offer the level of care that our loved one needed, so we chose another community.

We had a virtual tour with The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. It seemed nice, but they did not provide the amount of care that we were needing for our loved one so it was not going to be the best fit.

I really liked the sales staff that I dealt with for my tour at Brookdale Edina. The facility just felt overly busy and was really large and there was a lot going on. It was just not the right type of environment for my loved ones.

In this day and age I think that it is very difficult to get an itemized bill from any facility and to know for sure whether they are providing the services that they are supposed to be. There is not much opportunity to interact with the staff and they are short staffed as well. In general it is very hard to think you are getting a good value when it is so expensive.

Their marketing person was a very helpful and friendly person. The facility was going through some remodeling, so the space at that time had a very unfinished feel. I saw piles of boxes, plastic sheeting, etc., so it was hard to really get a feel for what it would be like long term. They had a smaller community space for gathering than I saw at other places. But they had an interesting layout with an internal courtyard. So if families are concerned about their loved one wandering beyond a safe space, that could be a good option for them.

They are not taking care of her like they should be. We are having some billing issues and I have not seen the money I am owed yet even though when I call they say they will get it figured out. They did go through a transition where they changed ownership and things have been rocky since then. The food is good, she has gained 12 pounds since being here so that is good. Overall we are not very pleased.

There are no visitors allowed in the dining area even with a mask and then they have a special room for visits but it is closed. They don't have enough staff for the dinning area. There is a entertainment room and visitors are not allowed in here either. I feel that covid is an excuse but I think it is really the under staffing. I just felt like I was mislead and wish I had time to do more homework. A definite plus is that the staff are genuinely kind

I would advise others to be careful of your loved ones belongings. things were stolen/ended up missing from my loved one. her medication was not adequately given out and not administered when they needed to be. they also have a high turnover right now. we made the decision to pull my loved one out because overall she was not being cared for the way we were told she would. I'm unsure what happened, all I know is that we had such high hopes and ended up being extremely disappointed. I can acknowledge that my loved one can be difficult to deal with and I also understand that the job itself can be hard. I give credit to the staff and nurses who had to work with her; but regardless there were things that happened that were completely unacceptable.

They were very friendly and helpful at this community. This community is a bit older and just felt a little dark and enclosed. It was just not the right feeling that we were looking for.

This community was dated in appearance and not the type of environment my loved one was looking for. The tour was basic and I was able to get all of the information that I needed.

we toured Lewis Park Estates and the building itself was much older than where we decided. they were actively undergoing some renovations, but it was still not well kept as there were some issues with cleanliness. we called in to schedule some things and the staff we interacted with did not seem eager to follow up on our inquisitions. we chose [community name removed] because Lewis Park Estates did not have what we were looking for in a community.

The staff there are very friendly, the ones we have gotten to know we really do like. The food appears to be very good and we the location is very convenient for us. However things are lacking due to the staffing struggles and turnover rate, we do not blame it on them but it is becoming a frustration. The cleanliness is lacking and overall general care is just not there. We want to be able to come and visit this community and have a good time, and not clean up everything all the time.

We had an in person tour and we saw several different apartment layouts, but it kept us wanting more. It just was not the best space and we weren't able to see the largest one which is what we wanted. The guy we met with was very nice and good at the tour, but the communication was lacking and not done in a timely manner.

They try very hard. The activities that were advertised didn't measure up to their promises. It is very expensive.

Communication from the senior staff has been lacking and is a problem in this community. This community is well situated and is a convenient good place in the market. It is a large community and there is a lot of activities. The food is either good or better than most and the day to day staff in the assisted living are good.

This is a nice community. There seems to be a lot more residents that are memory care compared to other communities I've been in. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms for the residents to use.

This community was not as nice but the people were nice. There was a weird shower that was out in the hallway that I know that my father would not have liked.

I like Olympics West somewhat. We have asked for the staff to assist our loved one getting out of bed or opening their blinds. It seems that these items haven't helped to get my loved one to the dining room to eat or get up out of bed.

We do understand the staffing shortage is causing some issues - the house keeping and laundry assistance is not as consistent as it should be or as what was promised. However we absolutely love the staff members that could not be nicer and we do believe after all the craziness of covid things will get better.

A little concerned since Elmcroft of Rivershire has been taken over by another management company and is now called Lewis Park Estates. I'm hearing they call the ambulance and send the residents to the hospital for minor issues they don't want to deal with. Medicare does not cover every cost and this causes elderly, living on fixed income, to eat up their money. Also found, on a visit, no employee manning the front door. Left wide open at times where residents could get out and for those elderly that get confused they would be lost. Very scary. Also, bad about returning phone calls. This new company just took over in November so we'll see how it goes in the next few months. I'll revisit my review after that.
