Lots of turnover in care services. Some caregivers were quite caring, some were just awful. No one seemed to know what others were doing. Administration Staff were verbally helpful but did not follow through. Mom died, months ago and we have yet to receive the final itemized bill we have asked for numerous times. Food service was fine.

We did not choose Morningside in the West End because it had an older and dated feeling to it. The apartment was smaller and the layout was one that my mom would not have liked. It was more of a big open room and did not feel like an apartment. We were more drawn to the facilities that were up to date. The staff were all very nice but it was not the right fit for us.

our family had an in person tour it was nice but its an older community and there was an odor to it. It just was older but the lady who was giving the tour was very nice and we got a little gift at the end of the tour.

I think depending on your loved one's needs are you should make sure you are able to follow up with the staff, has a good location, and the communication will fit for your needs. Orchard Park fits the needs of the family and our loved ones. I would recommend Orchard Park to others for their loved ones; however, only if it fits the needs of your loved one. In memory care there is no selections of meals for the residents. However, in the assisted living area the residents have choices of meals and my loved one is enjoying the meals more here.

I think Orchard park had good points and bad points. Location was a big factor for us in our decision.

Promises are made, but they are on a future schedule. It's difficult to get little things done, as far maintenance staff is concerned. I understand the priority, but for little things it takes a while; hopefully and eventually it will be done. Its' an old building, so there are priorities. They will tend to bigger issues immediately and that's how it should be. I'm discovering as I'm here longer, that things are back ordered, etc.. I understand that, but I think it takes a little more time than necessary to tend to the minor issues than the broken issues like a pipe. Specifically - I was promised when I signed on, that I would get an alert button if I need help. It's been over a month, I've paid for it, and I still haven't received it because it's on backorder. I understand backorder, but I don't understand why you wouldn't have a supply readily available and one given to you when you sign your lease. I feel that, yes, some of my issues are minor, and after a month I've been very patient yet some still haven't been resolved. There are a lot of pros and cons here, but as far as the apartment size it's wonderful. As far as the room, it's great and wonderful as well. It's one of the biggest I've seen and it can not compare to any other place I've visited and I saw six places before I came here. The people here are extremely friendly and I've made some friends. I'm here not because I want to be, rather out of necessity. Would I choose Discovery Village out of the other places I visited? Yes - just counting some of the inconveniences. It's really a very nice place.

Dad was briefly here. While I had the upmost respect for the administrator, [name removed], the services there for my dad did not meet my expectations, nor did the food. My dad was miserable, so I moved him from there within 10 days. I know that since he's left they've changed hands, so hopefully they've improved.

Hartpark all too many restrictions. For patio rooms you couldn't have bird feeders. It felt more like a drab hospital setting than an exciting place to live.

What they "sell" and what you get are completely different things. They talk about services, activities, and a bridge to rediscovering who your loved one is, that is only talk.

I didn't like Brookdale Gardens at Westlake. It felt dark and gloomy. And I didn't like the room they showed us.

The facility was older and looked like it needed updates. There was also no AC. It was a lot cheaper than others we looked at though.

We felt the staff worked with our loved one pretty good on a day-to-day basis, but the reason we give the activities 1 out of 5 stars, is because we don't even remember if they offered up any activities.

The guy who showed us around was super nice. The facility itself was older looking and I did not see as many activities going on as I would have liked, everyone was just kind of sitting around.

Grossly understaffed in all areas.

Our tour at Morningside in the West end fell flat. The facility was a little bit dingy. And I just did not get any kind of cheerful sense from anything there.

I would recommend that you stay on top of the staff and community in keeping your loved one's room clean, and the housekeeping up-to-date. They provide a nice environment for the residents. The staff communication with the family is good; however, the response from messages is slow.

The worst part is they told me what it would cost and now it costs more. Bait and switch. They're not doing what they said they were going to do as far as the care goes. And the staff are hard to get ahold of when I have questions or concerns.

I have had some frustrations with communication over medications. I do really like the facility. It is clean and nice and the value for the money is great, there has just been confusion and issues with the communication that could use improvement. The staff are all really great and the rooms here are much more spacious than others we had looked at.

My tour experience with Tuscany Villa of Naples was just ok, I did not find the facility or the pool to be as nice as some of the other places that I was looking into at the time.

My parent has not enjoyed the time at this community. The staff are friendly for the most part but there is a lot of confusion among them. There are a lot of staff that come from agencies and we are not happy with the work. They are trying to help and I have been in contact with them and the issues continue. My mom can be difficult but at the same time there is a lot going on and she has had to wait up to 45 minutes for a response when she calls for help with a page.
