We found there wasn't enough support. I went evenings to help my mom prepare for bed because there just wasn't enough help to spread around. The food was not restaurant quality as we were told as we signed up. They went through 4 head cooks in the year we were there. I would compare the food to just ok school cafeteria. Friendly employees everwhere. Director, Office staff, and Activity Director were highly caring and respected by all. Seems staff continued to change a lot. So many directors to follow in last years. Not sure what's happening with management. Clean!! Good maintenence staff I continue to visit friends at the Orchard. A lot of really nice residence live there.

Anyone can walk in the bedrooms because there is no locks on them. My mother needs to feel more secured. It would be nice for her privacy as well. My mother really loves her meals they are healthy and well proportioned. The staff are all nice and keep in contact with the family. One of the things i really liked was the positive atmosphere that is felt here.

No one was prepared for our visit. The young lady who provided the tour was very helpful and attentive to all our questions even though it was not her responsibility to help us. Nice community. Small, which can be good. Very friendly. Many amenities. Behind in technology. In this day and age technology is important, but expensive. I was impressed that there were activity calendars every, no reason not to know what is going on. When we arrived the residents were waiting for several activities that were scheduled for 10:30. Anxious to get at it. Very pleasant atmosphere.

The layout of the community did not convince me very much. I also couldn't feel that warm family feeling that i wanted to feel when i walked in there. My tour was very quick but all the activities, amenities and meal plans were explained to me. The tour guide did a good job and was very knowledgeable. During the tour the community was up-kept and clean.

During my tour of Brookdale Medina North i had a complimentary meal that was offered to me. The meal was good and i was also explained that meal plans are available. The tour guide answered all of my questions and i was able to meet some nice staff along the way during my tour. Activities on site are available for the residents. One thing that i felt could be fixed are the rooms they could use a little more updating to them.

My grandmother stayed at Brookdale for Respite Care for 3 weeks. They were able to use her equipment. She did not receive showers as often as promised and only when she asked instead of twice a week. She had to wait for some time when pushing the call button. There were many activities of different types for her to attend and the facility was easy for her to get around. The staff makes a lot of empty promises and they tend to be understaffed especially on the weekend.

The facility is very nice and the staff are friendly. The call light buttons on the necklace is great fro easy access to help.Disappointed when a special diet is ordered by the doctor that it is not available. I think low salt is a needed addition Also gluten free is also very helpful. The communication with us as family is lacking. There was a significant change in my family member's condition and I was not notified. Definitely undermines my trust. I only find out things when I come and ask. Therapy is pretty minimal. Disappointing my family member who needs strengthening. Lots of activities available and that is great. Perhaps more variety of games . Bingo all the time get old quick.

I am not pleased with our experiences so far here at this community. Although the staff that is there is very helpful, they are too few and too overworked to be able to give my mother the attention we are paying for. At the moment they have no executive director, so there is no one to handle the issues that are going on. They are under staff. The staff that is there is kind and helpful. My mother say's the food is too greasy. Overall at this moment I would not recommend this community.

This is another community that I liked but the memory care was on the second floor. They did have a beautiful garden/courtyard but my mom would not be able to use it. This is not an enclosed yard. They had a deck off the kitchen area with bars to enclose the back, I did not like that. They did not have any availability here and it seemed as if the tour guide went through the motion of the tour, not engaged with me.

The staff all seem to be very nice.

It has been a bit of an adjustment having Mom move into Farmington Square not only for her but for me. Moving her in I've had certain expectations on the level of care she needs since she has alzheimers and I am not completely happy with certain events that have happened. I am paying to have Mom's hair washed since she tends to forget and it seems as though the staff have forgotten as well. She fell in the parking lot and was sent to the ER and you would think they would have some type of transportation for her to return home but instead she rode home in a taxi! I'm not sure how this will work out but I know that it can only get better.

This place seemed to be your typical Memory care. I didnt like pricing structure. Patients were not engaged during the tour.

Elmcroft was $95/day (avg. $2890/mo) w/inclusive costs for bathing, diapering, & adm. meds, which is quite nice compared to the other location toured. However, the patient hallway carpeting, etc. did not seem as clean as the other location toured this afternoon. The bathrooms at Elmcroft are not so great for sharing because there is no storage for towels & very little space for personal toiletries other than a small mirrored medicine chest. The shared rooms were rather minimal in size and would be more suited for people undergoing temporary PT. I could not get a link to reviews for Elmcroft w/o giving my name & number which I had already given to A Place for Mom. The staff was very cordial. The lobby, game, and dining room(s) were very nicely kept.

We left the facility because the care was bad there. I couldn't leave my mom there knowing she was not being cared for and I could not be there with her everyday all day. They were in the process of making changes so I'm sure it has gotten better there.

The staff is friendly. The facility is in good. We haven't had much with the care services. He enjoys it there. He's very comfortable there. I do not receive any call backs concerning concerns I have there. The facility is very nice. He has a long walk to the dining hall which he enjoys. There are chairs along the way where he can sit down and rest if he needs to. It's very clean and nice.

My father stayed here for about 2 years and has since moved out because they are unable to accommodate his current needs. I believe I was told they just do not have the staff for it. I believe this to be true from a past experience specifically. His pendent rang to me, it was unable to communicate to me which this pendent came from the VA and apparently was not working for him to hear me on the other end. I called the receptionist and asked if they could send someone up to let him know that help was on its way. While at the time he was an independent resident and staff was not able to assist, besides checking on him. Well I was told to call back in 20 minutes. Yes this is in fact true, she said there wasn't anyone available to do that. When the police arrived and they helped my Dad up from his fall, we talked a bit and he tried to locate a nurse and there was no one available after waiting at the nurses station for about 10 minutes. He called the receptionist and told them who he was and asked for assistance, they actually told him the same thing. Please call back in 20 minutes. This did not go over to well with the police officer. Leaving a message for them to call him, they never did. I spoke to the officer and he was extremely upset that they never called him back. They told me that they would check into it and get back to me. Never happened, and currently leaving messages with the Executive Director more then once to call me, that hasn't happened either. If I were to rate this I would not call it a five star except that the building is beautiful. Staff have always been very kind, but not enough employed to accommodate the needs of all the residents. Glad to say my father has moved out. The amount below for rent was without any services, add any and you can expect to pay at least $4,000 per month at the least.

I really like the staff. We are very pleased with the staff. As far as management goes, they are not great. We have had billing issues for quite awhile now and it has not been resolved. They do not communicate with us about anything.

At Orchard Park Of Southfork we have had someincidents. I have had to check on medications. They got a new activitiesdirector and that area is improving. Some time the aids they need to slow downand remember these are patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. It isa very clean and nicely decorated facility. The staff polite and well manneredhere. Over all we are very pleased because they well work with you.

I dont have anything to compare Morningside at Bellgrade with. It is my sister-in-law that is up there. She was in a skilled nursing facility previously and I didn't think much of it. I do have some concerns as far as the level of care she is getting. They have 1-6 levels and she was assessed as a level 6. I personally don't think she think she is getting the level of care that she is supposed to get. She is paying a lot extra for toiletries and it looks like they rationing them out. She has to be assisted with just about everything. The cleanliness needs improving also. She seems okay overall here.
