The first thing after walking in was that it reminded me too much of a hospital. The walls were all white and it just gave me the impression of a sterile environment like a hospital. I had toured the community on Mothers Day so I didn't run into a staffing. From what I saw the place was clean. The location was not an issue for me just the overall environment seemed to be lacking any personality. It just seems to be it wasn't going to be the best place for my mom

My grandmother lived here for a little over a year. I feel that overall this facility is very nice and provides good care, but has room for improvement. This would be an excellent place for someone who is still fairly independent but may need a little supervision or help. However, in my experience, it is NOT a facility for those with complex medical issues, even if that person is ambulatory and independent with ADLs. I think that the staff, while very nice and accommodating, do not have enough experience to identify and handle medical emergencies. Also, in my experience, timely communication and follow-up with family about loved ones' immediate needs could use improvement. We also had some problems with paying for extra services, but those services not being completed. PROS: nice, new facility, plenty of activities, good food, holiday gatherings with resident's families, staff is friendly, location and proximity to hospital/interstate/points of interest CONS: lack of staff training in emergency situations/how to identify when resident needs medical attention, communication and follow-up with family, paid amenities being completed

I like the care from this community. We like that the community is very clean inside and out. The staff is friendly. They need to work on communication skills. The level of care is not what we expected and some improvements are needed. We have noticed that a few things have not been attentended for my mom, like water and some personal care. We would hope that this community would work on some of the improvements. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one on their own.

My mother has recently moved into this community and I just do not think its the right fit for her. She has been wondering the halls and may need more care then they are able to provide. I will have to see how things go for her in the next week or so but I might have to look into another living situation. The property is always very clean and well maintained for all of the residents. I will give them that much

We toured this community for the care for my mom. We liked the staff was able to answer the questions but it was not the person in charge. The community was clean. We did have lunch and the food was really good. We were not impressed due to we did not have the correct person to speak with on the tour to get the answer that we had and that did not give us a good impression of this community. Other families might be happy with a tour of the community for the care of a loved one.

I took my mother our of Autumn Leaves of Pearland because they did not take good care of her. She would fall a lot and they would just pick her back up instead of making sure she was not having a heart attack or something. It was just not s a good experience for her, they have a lot to work on.

Friendly, helpful staff in a nice facility. Overall a nice place to live. The dining room provides good food and adequate service. Theft of valuables and personal items very common.

When we toured Brookdale, we did not have a very good experience. The person whom we had scheduled the tour was unaware of the appointment, so the person that took me and my 4 other loved ones came off as a little rude. We all noticed, so it was not an option for us.

Cost A BIT too high for MOMS sustained Income

I didn't like the community and I did not get a good feeling. It needs to be updated and when I went into a room I saw they don't provide a bed and dresser. Activities are available to those who want to participate and they do not encourage to resident to participate. The gal was nice but I was not impressed with the facility.

The staff at this Brookdale location were very nice and the facility was kept very clean and safe. Our primary concern was the fact that we have run into trouble with medication management, which is upsetting because this is a rather serious issue.

My father has been doing well since his move to Brookdale Eden Prairie. It has been as good as it can be given the situation.

Liked that independent living, AL, memory care all attend the same functions if they so desire (including fishing days at Medical Lake). Liked the 1 bedroom rooms and the meal plan. Didn't really like the idea of paying $600+ for monthly med disbursement and blood pressure checks but that is apparently the normal fee at Brookdale properties.

My sister took a tour of this community for our my mother, and her needs. Unfortunately they were able to take my mother in the condition she was in, but this is a beautiful community from what she told me.

My Mom is [removed] and she is a resident as Walnut Creek. She is very comfortable there and enjoys the many things that Walnut Creek offers. However, there needs to be less turnover of employees. Pay more money per hour and you will keep the CNA's. In my opinion there needs to be a unit secretary at the nurses' station at all times from 6a.m.-6p.m. Many family members need to ask questions, get information, and also give information so that the communications are better. Often times you can't find anyone to tell you the information you need!

I had a pretty nice tour of this community. It is a good community, and the staff was very good. From what I saw the community looked nice, and well-kept. I enjoyed my tour, everyone was kind. Unfortunately their prices were to expensive for my grandfather's budget, but my tour went well overall.

I feel that this community is severely understaffed. The residents are not getting the care that they need. The Director of Nursing is very rude and unprofessional. When I have an issue she tries to throw the blame on others. The community is clean and neat and we like that. The food is good and appropriate for the residents.

My mother has gotten better since her move to this community. Overall this is an okay community. They are doing an alright job caring for my mother, and her needs. There is some room for improvement with the staff, but overall they have been okay. They do not accept W care, so if you do not have an elderly wavier after a certain amount of time. They will ask you to leave. I wish I knew this information in the beginning, but this whole process as been a learning experience. Overall I would recommend this community. Your loved one would be okay here.

They are understaffed they need more people. It is not quite as organized as it should. Her treatments go well when they happen. I think a lot of the issues would be resolved by having more staff.I visit her twice a day and I think the food is pretty good. We chose this community because we felt it was more capable of meeting her care needs. I do think they had more staff when we toured the community. They have had some turnover since she moved in. I think if anyone is considering Aspen Ridge they should do their own research and make the best decision for the individual they are looking for.

My family and I toured this community for my brother, and his needs. It was a nice experience, and everyone was very kind. The staff was friendly, and our questions were answered. From what we saw the community looked clean. Everything went well, our tour was a nice one.
