Their food is horrible. A few of the residents have stated they get sandwiches, hotdogs or even half a baked potato with green beans for dinner and the aides help to cook the meals. The Residents dont like the food. They say it's horrible and they don't given them enough food. I've also heard the aides help to cook the meals. It's not a bad place just needs some improvements. With the amount they charge, their meals should consist of a lot more (starch, protein and vegetable)

The admin Staff and the cleanliness. Communication with the family needs work. Several "misunderstandings" the level of care provided was not what we were told it would be.

I am going to be very neutral. The last year of changes have been tough on the staff I'm sure. Not to mention the residents. I have not had the calls from staff as I used to have. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.

Since he has been here there has been a lot of staff turnover and he's had money stolen from his room.

5 Star is very understaffed. Their ability to respond is slow because of this. Don't be fooled by introductory offers - we are now paying $[removed] more than 1 year ago!

The nurses and administration are GREAT. The facility is clean, the food is pretty good though the portions seem small , but I eat too much and would greatly benefit from eating smaller portions. They have good activities vs putting cotton balls on Santa's beard. This was one of the activities at [community removed] and I was simply appalled. In regard to the aides. Some are viably bored and get frustrated with dad bc he has declined , gets confused and is very weak. He is a two-person assist. This one aide kept rolling her eyes. I told her she should work in another field. I was already upset with her because she had turned off the heat in dad's room. She told me it was just so hot in there. I told her it wasn't her room and after it happened again, I put a sign on the thermostat requesting that no one change the temperature in his room. Some of the aides have rolled their eyes, ignored him when he was asking them questions. Ignored him when they would still hold onto his hands even though he has several skin tears on his hands and arms. Obviously, I am having some issues with some of the aides lately.

The care services depends on day. The staff is ever changing so not sure 3 maybe. When it comes to the activities it depends on the day, and right now the value for cost is a 3 at best. Cleanliness is best and really like some of the staff. That said they are understaffed and it makes care inconsistent

My dad passed away. They kept him sedated the whole time. When he needed oxygen, they didn't have it available. They didn't communicate with me that he stopped eating. His hearing aids were missing for over a week. I truly feel that my dad being there led to an earlier demise .

They've been responsive to most situations that have been a problem. A new company has purchased the Palms and it's $[fee removed] more than what I was led to believe in the beginning when we were touring I find it hard to believe they didn't know about the changeover they just didn't tell us. My loved one also gets a little less food now, they said and less choices so that's what took it down to a three. The people who helped take care of my loved one are very nice and polite and helpful though. The place is nice and clean and seems well kept and the staff seem to like their jobs Overall I could say that his experience so far has been positive in that they are there for my loved one and have made arrangements to keep my loved one. safe and healthy which in the end is all you can ask from a place

Her apartment was huge for this type of senior living, with a huge kitchen. There was a walk-out patio door which made everything about access easier. We had some confusion about the promotional rate pricing, I think they could be much clearer about that. I did get assistance and a concession from the Director about the pricing which was helpful. The staff was friendly and kind. And the common areas were very well maintained.

The apartment is bright and comfortable, and some staff are wonderful, but communication and management need improvement. Food quality and laundry service could be better, and Wi-Fi and care fees add unexpected costs. Transportation and small details like signage and maintenance also need attention. The place has potential but feels inconsistent for the price.

The facilities and staff were nice, but when my mom reached a point where she needed more help, the support wasn't provided. I had to step in every day to make sure she was cared for, which I was glad to do, but I felt the policy around providing that level of assistance was very disappointing.

They could definitely imprison the food, which honestly was pretty bad. I frequently brought in food for my mother. They also desperately need more staffing. There are a few staff who are real gems and I'll be forever grateful to them, but the majority of the staff aren't great. I know this is a problem throughout the industry. Their best feature is the admin staff, who I feel really try to do the best they can for the residents and are very empathetic.

I can't compare to anything else. My first experience with a memory care facility. I would say that some of the staff really cares and some are kind of lazy. Activities are really good. Food appears to be decent. Room is adequate. My wife likes living there .

Residents are “old” and can’t have a conversation, according to my 93 year old father in law. The staff keeps getting his meds wrong. There were tiny ants on the tables when we ate in the dining room. Service is slow, but staff is friendly. It was presented as a much more lively facility with a top notch medical staff. They are going through a management company change and I’m not sure if that is the cause, but we’ve found responsiveness to questions and concerns to be very slow.

The facility is fairly new. Lots of parking and an easy process to get in the door to see residents.

The outside and interior is wonderful but the care of the resident is not caring and what you're told during the consultation. If you're love one is non-verbal I wouldn't recommend this establishment.

They have a lot of super great employees that truly care for the residents. But they also have a few that are just there for the paycheck if you will. A lot of minority workers, but I think that is the norm at most memory care/assisted living places. Nothing wrong with it but my dad struggles a lot with accents and a general language barrier. Areas that are great: caring staff, great location, nice outdoor areas, they do occasional group outings, daily activities. Areas for improvement: higher level of cleanliness (in facility as a whole and in resident rooms), more activities geared for men, better communication among staff regarding residents over shift changes.

Talk to staff, tour the buildings, watch how caregivers are interacting with residents. Very caring staff. I would recommend to others.
