It's a very nice and friendly community. My loved one enjoys the activities. They enjoy the other residents as well. I like it.

The tour was nice but I was not the biggest fan of the layout for my loved one. It is a smaller facility and the apartment sizes here are much smaller but costed more.

We are in exceptional times right now and majority of the issues at this community are due to under staffing which everyone is dealing with. Outside of this there are not many issues. The staff that are here are very friendly and helpful with us. They have activities like bingo, entertainment and girls scouts that came in and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

Edgewood Point didn’t appear to be as hands-on and efficient as another place we toured. And I didn't feel that their buildings were as clean and sanitized, which was important to me during Covid times.

Nice community, just the right fit for our loved one.

My father-in-law chose Brookdale Barberton because he really liked the location it is in as well as the dollar amount for what is offered. The apartment sizes are adequate for what he needs. I really respect the executive director, she is very hands on with the residents and always reaches out to me whether something good or bad happens. She is forthcoming and that is something that I appreciate. We would recommend Brookdale to other families looking.

We chose Creekside because it is closer to our home and also they were willing to collaborate with us to meet my aunts needs. I met with other places, but this was just the best fit and they. They provided furniture such as a bed and nightstand as well which was very nice. I like that the facility is only dedicated to memory care so there is no competition of assisted living. I would recommend to other families looking.

It's a great place, make sure you check in once in a while to see what's up. They do not have enough employees. They get behind on some stuff. I think it's due to staffing issues because of covid. They need to be more thorough to make sure patients to get what they need. They need to be more cautious.

Lewis Park Estates is a friendly community. The employees are helpful, from the bookkeeper to the cleaning lady. They're all very willing to help you out, and I like them a lot. We have a chef, but we could really use some more variety on the food. They serve just a few entrees, and maybe two or three vegetables. And I feel like we have rice every day. I'm just not happy with the food at all. But they do keep the facility very clean, and it's a beautiful building with an atrium. The halls are all kept nicely. It's just a pretty place, and I enjoy being here.

This is a nice safe place for you or your loved one. It is a little different in the fact that everyone has a roommate. They have activities for the residents like games and more to keep them busy. The staff are also very friendly.

This community was our second choice. It was a little older of a building but there was a lot of space and freedom for my loved one. there was another community that just had more space that worked better for my loved one

we toured Magnolia Springs and upon first impression it was nice. we chose another community because Magnolia was too big and further away than we anticipated.

we moved my loved one in at the end of [month removed] and a few weeks ago we received an email that the cost would be increasing by over [price removed]. they included their reasons, but I felt that it was an aggressive amount to be increased by. we agreed to place my loved one in a shared room with three other residents so that they would not be alone. now with the rent increase, we are paying for the amount of a single room. I do appreciate that the community offers adult depends for an added fee of [price removed] a month. I'd prefer that the community provides them, rather than possibly running out or being responsible to bring our own. it's our first time having our loved one away from home, so this entire experience has been a learning process. the staff are friendly and willing to provide updates on my loved ones well being when I call in. [name removed], the administrator, can be hard to reach when contacting via email. I'm unsure what exactly she handles, as some of my calls to her have been passed off on other people. I've directly asked her who - if not her - should I contact for more in depth information regarding my loved one and I've yet to receive an answer. she has also admitted to seeing my emails and failing to reply. she may be busy, or my questions may be beyond her scope of support, but I do think that the communication could be better. I'm having trouble getting in contact with the right person(s) when it comes to certain things. Creekside offers a lot of activities during the day and they have an awesome mechanism to keep families updated. they send a notification to your phone that specifies whether or not your loved one has participated in the activities, and if so, it explains the level of interaction/mood of your loved one. I've found that recently, they have not been updating the app. there's an option to have a picture of your loved one enjoying the activities sent to your phone as well, and that is not willingly being done. I know that they may have a lot going on and I understand that they have lost staff due to Covid. it's still a bit frustrating that they have these tools available, but aren't taking advantage of them. there were a lot of things that drew me in that have not been followed through. I'm willing to ride it out and see if it improves, I just wish that there was a more well rounded level of care. I want to know more about what's going on during the day with my loved one. I can mostly only see my loved in the late afternoon; and by then, they are already in the "sundown" phase. if those tools were utilized better, it would provide a better sense of security for both myself and other families with similar schedules. when I walk into Creekside, it feels very warm, lively and homey. It's a good, clean community with nice staff. I overall just wished there was more communication and visual updates of my loved one. I just think they may be suffering from the effects of Covid. hopefully, once the world returns to some sense of normalcy, residents will be able to go on more outings. I'm also hoping that we will be able to visit more often and spend time interacting with our loved one throughout the community.

We liked the community, not the right fit.

The facility has just undergone new ownership. The nursing director is excellent. The big issue is staffing levels. The staff is excellent, but they're understaffed, as are most assisted living facilities in the area. They just can't get workers. There are some days my loved one has to walk by herself to meals because they don' t have the staff to assist her. The facility itself is good. It's clean. Our only issue has been with staffing levels.

Good community, not the right fit.

This is worth considering for your loved one. The rooms are lovely. My loved one is doing well here. It is a great community. Some of the activities available are bingo, music outdoors, book club, grocery store trips, exercise classes, library, and more for the residents to choose from.

Administrators are very helpful during new resident introductions and great at making activity programs. Activities incorporate my electric scooter. Food and dining services made available, as well as cleaning and laundry.
