The residents here are super friendly and really nice, based on the experience I have had so far at Discovery Village I would recommend them to other famiies

The managing director and supervisor have been very helpful in dealing with complex family situations. As far as the care of my family member, some of the care staff are better than others , but overall I feel it's appropriate.

This has been a nice place, with friendly staff, and your loved one will get really good care to certain extent. Your loved one really needs to be more on the independent living side of life, instead of needing assistance. There were a lot of times that we are having to follow up on the care that my loved one is to be receiving. The community is grossly understaffed due to the pandemic. There are times that my loved one has had to be taken to the hospital, instead of being able to handle things internally on a different level of care due to memory care needs. The care levels are based on a ranking system from 1-6. They have re-evaluated my loved one a few times, and the care levels are inconsistent. The room, housekeeping, utilities, all the meals, transportation, and changing of linens is included in the monthly fee. They are to be doing a deep cleaning once a week. The big awning out front is beautiful

I would recommend this community, the staff are friendly knowledgeable and they care about the residents. They have been going through a transition so there are new people at this time that I am getting adjusted to. The tour was great and they were very informative and sensitive to my loved ones needs.

This has been a good place for my loved one. The community is smaller and it is a quieter community. The staff is good when you can find them. It seems they are understaffed. Medication management, dressing, and bathing assistance is some of the care provided by the community. The apartment, all the meals, housekeeping, laundry, utilities, and changing of the linens are included in the monthly fee.

Morningside of Bellgrade is a wonderful, safe environment that's very well taken care of as well as their residents.

My loved one is settling in. I feel it's a caring community. They do a good job keeping their residents safe. I don't worry about my loved one falling or getting hurt or leaving. I think they do a good job with the care. They call and check in with me, and they seem to really care about the members of the community here.

Generally this has been a good experience for us. We have had a few occasions when they didn't meet the standards of expectations. There were a couple times they forget meals for my loved one. The meals have been okay; however, sometimes my loved one feels that some of the meals haven't been suitable for eating. The apartment has a bedroom, living area, and a bathroom. There is a sink, microwave, and refrigerator that is included. There is a tiered care system and price. Medication management, laundry, bringing food to my loved one, housekeeping are some of the care that the community is able to provide. The basic monthly fee covers the room and utilities. There is transportation for the residents to use if needed.

Hickory Hills is a very nice facility and gave us a great tour but it was just way out of our price-range.

My parents lived here for multiple years prior to their passing in [date removed]. Ponderosa Lodge was always a warm, loving welcoming community & they had so many wonderful friends with other residents & staff here. Our family visited often & my parents always had great things to say about the staff & other residents.

Magnolia Springs Southpointe is an upscale facility that is very nice. The staff were great, the menu was extensive and the best that I have seen, and the care looked to be good. It is a good quality facility, but it was much more expensive.

Our family had an in person tour, the gentlemen was very pleasant to speak with and he was very helpful on the tour. However it just did not give us that elegant, spacious bright feeling. It felt more tight and closed off.

We've had a few minor issues. I do think they need to hire more maintenance help. They have just one person, and requests can take a while to get to. Also, on the weekends there is not as much staff as during the week. But I think places are short-handed everywhere. For the most part, the staff is friendly and cooperative. They try to work with you and work out any issues. The main thing is if they're friendly to your loved one. I think they are for the most part. My loved one complains the food is not hot when it gets to her. When I've eaten with her a couple of times, I think it's been fine. She's been pretty satisfied with the activities. I think it's a good place to take your loved ones overall.

Our tour experience with Stoneybrook was pretty good. The downfall is that the facility is more than one story and we wanted something that was all on one level. It seemed more classy and formal as well.

It's a place I feel comfortable leaving my Mom knowing that wouldn't need to watch over her.

I would make sure you are truly getting what you are want before you move in and they have your money. They made a lot of promises prior to moving in and then they didn't happen during and after my loved one's move in and living in the community. The community was supposed to give my loved one a call necklace and it took 8 weeks for them to provide one. They could use a new receptionist. There were maintenance items that never were able to get done like a lightbulb being replaced. Dinner consisted mostly of sandwiches sometimes with or without a dessert. The activities were good that they were able to provide. They were supposed to be having a maid service included in the monthly fee, and this was only done once.

What stuck out about Laurel Oaks was the finances, we were able to get what we were looking for for the right price in our budget. We are in a bigger 1 bedroom apartment and it is plenty of room for us. There is a cleaning service provided 2 times a month and I think they could improve some on that if they had 2 people coming in rather than just 1. I have not been able to take part in many activities due to some health issues but I plan on getting into it after I figure that out. We have had some very good meals and also some that are not to our liking, you just have to get used to the different way of preparing things. I would most definitely recommend them to others looking.

They have assisted living and memory care here. This was a nice community, but too from family. I wish the memory care residents had the ability to walk the entire community.

The staff that are at the community are excellent, but there is not enough staff. This is a good community, I wish they were able to get more staff to assist the residents. The community is able to assist with getting out of bed, medication management, and getting back into bed for my loved one. The meals are normal and similar to cafeteria food. Some of the activities available include bingo, outside entertainment, and more for the residents to choose from.
