The staff are very friendly and make an effort to get to know the residents. As far as the food goes, they could use some improvements. More variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, preferably seasonal would be nice. Overall I would recommend The Gardens of Virginia Beach to others.

They are friendly and responsive for the most part, but like any facility, I think a loved one still has to be an advocate.

My mom is a resident at Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center and her experience at this facility has been good. They are excellent at this facility, mom has been here for almost one year. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They offer balanced meals and snacks throughout the day. Even the coordinators are awesome and are very sweet to the residents. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My Mom is currently a resident at Stratford Court and everything has been good for her at this facility. The staff have been very supportive, helpful and friendly. My mom has found a place to call home and I can't be happier for her. The food is good, they have a nice variety to choose from. My mom loves Stratford Court! I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Of the many places I have visited this has to be the friendliest. It's like a big family.

We only looked at it as we were in somewhat of a rush. This had a better location for my father.Brookdale is very very dated, the other place we looked at was brand new.They seem to be very good at entertainment and the food is great.

We picked this community, because the ratings were very good. They were running a discount for 25% off monthly rent. They had a very nice room available.The staff was very caring. The prescriptions were difficult to coordinate. It started with the hospital not giving Brookdale the scripts in advance, then hospice nurse, Brookdale nurse had to get approvals.

They seem to truly care for the residents. I would recommend to other families. We picked this community, because of the location, and they had an opening.

Overall Winterberry Heights is a very nice place for the value. I would recommend to other families. I would tell others looking that it was an easy applications and move-in process. They have a very nice dining room and accommodate residents. I always feel there is room for improvement all the time. Perhaps a bit more activities for residents. The staff that assist in laundry and hanging up clothing could be done better. Found the closet hanging items a bit disarray when laundry was brought back to the room.

I would recommend to other families. I like that they always answer my questions... medical, general about dementia, or how my dad is doing. They follow- up with any medical needs my father requires. My dad seems well taken care of. Whenever I go in I have seen staff, both in assisted living and in memory care. Which I know did not happen when my mom was at an assisted living place. I have stopped in during the day and saw the residents engaging in activities. They also have a nice room for physical therapy.

My family and loved one had a good experience with Morningside of Bellgrade. The nursing staff is great. The dining area needs to be larger, because it does not accommodate all the residents. The staff communication with the family was good when we had questions about our loved one.

No one from the staff greeted my dad and told him any information without him calling about everything. There is an activities calendar, but my loved one has only been here a short time so has not participated in any yet. They were nice and negotiations for meal plans and move in dates were super accommodating, but after move in everyone was scarce. The maintenance people have been friendly. Several neighbors have brought over treats and have introduced themselves. Seems like a nice community. The cottages there are a great size and updated. Perfect for my parents.

Our family had an in person tour with Bedford Estates and when we arrived they had no record on my appointment and I had to wait for someone who was available to show me around.

Not sure about the care services that are offered but they seem good. I would have higher scores but it seems some of the staff is sooo busy with new residents and I had trouble getting satisfaction with my meal plan because of my allergy. And, it seems part of the activity situation is that a lot of the residents don't participate so some of us are trying to get that changed. I knew that the cost is a bit high for those of us that are still independent. BUT, yes, I do like it here; MUCH BETTER than [community name removed] (where I had liked until recently).

Ashley Pointe was my father’s 3rd nursing home. The prior two do not even compare to Ashley Pointe, where you are family from the moment you walk in the door. The staff are so very wonderful and always greet you kindly. My father joined the AP community in January of 2022. He had lived alone in a remote home for more than 30 years. He was reclusive and at times refusing help/care. I can honestly say after a year at AP he is out of his shell, making friends, participating in their abundance of daily actives and just overall a happier person. My father used to even refuse to eat at times. However now I get almost daily phone calls. Telling me about the amazing meal he just had or how some of the staff just dropped by to say hi for awhile. They really do treat each member as if they were caring for their own parents. I couldn’t recommend Ashley Pointe enough. They are a great addition to the Lake Stevens community!! I highly recommend this community.

Everybody is very friendly here and the atmosphere is very welcoming, comfortable, and at home. As a resident here, I would recommend for anyone to live here. The staff is always friendly and I have made many good relationships with both residents and staff!

It’s not easy to rate by number…I haven’t been there in person, although I’m very involved from afar and talk to my sister often. I’ve also had a few phone exchanges with a couple of helpful staff members. My other sister also feels encouraged, and traveled there to spend some time in person. This emotional situation is very new for us and there will be a long learning curve. Nothing is perfect, so I won’t say “5” yet, but a solid 4 or maybe even 4+ so far!

We had a very positive experience. The staff was friendly, the food was good and they celebrated and made it festive (ie: cinco de Mayo) to mix it up when they could, our mom liked the activities and we felt it was a good value for the price.

My sister has an insurance policy which covers her stay there but she has to pay and then send a bill to her insurance company and then receive the money back we can put it in the bank it would be easier if they would just bill the insurance company. A nurse distributes the medicine to my sister so she gets her medicine on time and does take her medicine so that is good.

The community here is small, so that is helpful for those in memory care. Staff here have been so kind and respectful and treat my husband very well, but as I mentioned, lots of turnover happening which makes things not run well.
