The rooms are spacious and clean. The place is very well kept up. They have cable for your television. The only problem is the food: it is the worst food I've ever had in my 77 years on this earth. It is so overcooked that it must be devoid of virtually all nutritional value. It would gag a maggot.

Five Star Premier Residences is a very good community, the people are friendly, the staff members are good and they offer great activities. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to others.

1st impression was very good, especially compared to another visit to alternative. The initial meetings were full of promises of attentive, personal care. There's been trouble with mom not sleeping and wandering in other rooms. The business staff has made several errors in billing. I should add that they have been quite accommodating.

What we like the most about the Brookstone Alzheimer community is that it is clean and the residents are well taken care for. We would recommend this community to other families but it depends on residents needs. I don't think there is enough activity...they just took away what there was.

My mother in law loves the food and the staff at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care. She says they treat her like family. We have seen the meals and they are high quality. [Name removed] is the nicest and most helpful employee that they have. She is the best. She took care of everything for us. Even made house calls to get paperwork completed. I would highly recommend Mulberry Gardens Memory Care to others!

We toured Riviera Senior Living during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved ones. This facility was nice! We thought it was really great. However, it was too expensive for my loved ones.

I'm glad we brought our mom there!! Very caring staff! We picked this community because of the location, and it was near her son. Also, the "HR" person was very personable and seemed to know all of the residents and was super friendly and understanding ... He also was able to help us get financial help connections in place more quickly than some other places we looked at.

The staff has trouble coping with the number of patients but the care there is as good as it probably could be. They have trouble attending to individual needs but make every effort to do so. They are scrupulous about cleanliness. You could eat off the floors. All in all, I don't think you could find a better place. As far as the activities go - it would be impossible to generate activities for most of the residents who are there.

We picked this community because A Place for Mom recommended them. They have friendly staff, it's clean and reasonably priced.

Food, staff, activites are all good. I am very happy here.

There have been some minor issues but we have met with the director and head of nursing - they are very interested in resolving the current problems. What we really like is the food, it is good and our family members likes living there. For other families looking for a community for their loved ones, we would recommend Brookdale Northville.

Observations gained by eating meals in dining room and talking with other residents, recognizing budget constraints and staffing difficulties: Kitchen Staff was very friendly and helpful but there was unusually high “turn-over” and lack of proper training. It was almost impossible to carry on a conversation due to the echoing noise. Installation of Noise absorbing features and ‘soft elevator music’ might help. The Chef tried to present an appealing though very basic menu. It lacked fresh veggies and fruit, instead relied on mostly canned food, fried meats, spices and sugar (cake frosting, plain jello). Not very nutritious, in my opinion. Sad to see so many meals ‘half eaten’ and go to waste. Is change in food vendor possible? Farmer’s Market participation? All staff members were outgoingly helpful - if one could find them. Between meal times ( and if no activities were scheduled) it looked deserted, including the front desk. Presumably everyone was working behind closed doors

My mother was very blessed to find a "best friend" her 1st day there. Staff added my mother to her friend's dining table and would sit them by each other in visiting areas. My only concern, which is a major one, is that the nursing staff was lax on determining when a significant medical condition was going on with my mother. I was always the one to see that she was "off" and needed emergency care. The nurses always dismissed her behavior as "she's tired as she was up a lot last night." I'm talking things like major urinary track infection which landed her in the hospital and a stroke. Hence, I'm glad I could go by often and check on her. (She passed away after the stroke.) I noticed that another resident that was generally physically very robust usually, was not around and was told that she had had a fall. A couple of days later I saw the person her family had coming in to look after her many times a week, pushing her down the hall in a wheelchair. The resident looked deflated and in pain. Her helper said that the resident still had not had her leg/hip x-rayed after her fall. They were still waiting for the x-ray group to come to Cedar Ridge. I suggested that the resident needed to go to the ER. The helper called the resident's family and I noticed that an ambulance came for her. That being said, when covid hit Cedar Ridge, and my mother had it, the staff was excellent in taking care of my mother. She had someone with her 24/7. The 2 people rotating taking care of Mother would connect her to me with zoom calls often and I was kept informed on how she was.

We've had a great experience with this facility and the staff. There was a waiting list, so it took a few months, but was worth the wait in our estimation. The move-in experience was as smooth as can be. Their 'orientation plan' was thorough and well executed. Housekeeping is prompt and thorough (when mom doesn't turn them away, lol). I wish there was a way/service to encourage her participation in activities (after the initial orientation), but that's on mom as it is Independent Living. There are beautiful views in all directions! I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Edgewood Point Assisted Living and Memory Care is a smaller facility, that makes it more like a family . The staff are very friendly and have communicated well with us. The facility is always clean. I go and visit my mom a couple of times a week and it has always been clean. When I have been there at meal time, the meals have been good. Yesterday they had crab cakes , mixed vegetables, rice and a roll for lunch and it was very good. The staff always checks with us when we are there to make sure things are okay and to see if we have any questions or things that we want to discuss. The Activities Director is awesome, she really engages the residents and always has something going on for them. She is a big part of why we chose to put mom here. She really cares about her job and has a passion to help the residents. I would recommend this facility to others.

I would recommend Mill Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center to other families. Very caring, friendly staff, and facility is well maintained. Food not so good, but better than many places in the area.

I'd say it's a well run place and they try to do a good job. It was clean, the people were nice and it was in close proximity. I would recommend them.

We picked this community, because of the rural setting first of all. We knew that it would make dad more comfortable. The staff seemed nice and the place appeared clean and did not smell!! It was a nice place. Basically clean and most staff was friendly and helpful. Watch out for the RN. I'd feel comfortable recommending this place but would be upfront about the less than desirable food, especially if taken to a room (always cold and late as they do those last). Otherwise I'm the realm of reality it would be suitable for my friend but they would know these things up front!!

My loved one refuses to go to any out of the house activities so I can't really rate that. Activities in house seem to be ok. They don't seem to be able to help me get her clothes or other needs and I love out of state with no way to return what she doesn't like or what fits. They don't seem to be able to control what she eats and she has gained 20 pounds in 1 year. At [fee removed] a month I think I should be getting more help as my loved one is self sufficient and doesn't require help with anything.

I think the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. It is, however, too expensive and the price has escalated. We picked this community, because of my mother's behavioral issues were a major concern that other facilities would not accommodate.
