Stay involved, be sure to advocate for your family member. Staff/facility react better when you are seen and heard. Don't be afraid to ask questions, make requests, engage in planning. Facility/Staff is open to suggestions always. They could improve on the food by focusing on the individuals, quality of food, and the dining experience.

The communication is good. They know their residents well and know when things may be going bad for them and try to solve the issue. They appear to truly care.

Duluth Heights Lodge is a clean, modern facility with a staff who are attentive, experienced, and genuinely care about the residents. The rooms were perfect size for my mother when she was there. She loved the woods view to watch the deer.

The cleanliness is a 4, with "5" for effort Memory care is a tough situation. People are incontinent and don't even realize they have a problem. Staff does everything they can to stay ahead of it, but there's only so much you can do. Each and every person that I encountered was doing their absolute best.

We were very happy with Briar Glen. They all knew my Mom really well and nothing she did seem to bother them. Mom was always clean and the facility was clean. We never really saw any activities going on with Mom other than the TV/Movie Room but that may be more related Mom's state and her unwillingness to be involved in other activities. They did keep her up and out of her room most of the time, which we think was good for her. Mom didn't eat really well but again it may be more related to Mom's state. Mom was there less than 3 months before she passed away, so we may not be the best judge but we would select them again. It was a good fit for her personality and they were very encouraging that we set up her room just like home.

There are no real things that detract from this place. It is a top notch facility for independent senior living. I only rated them a 4 overall based on my mother's experience with their so-called "ambassador program " in which a resident is assigned to help a new resident get acclimated to their new surroundings. Mom didn't hear from anyone on this for at least a week after moving in. Turns out the woman assigned as her "ambassador " was sick. Another woman was subsequently assigned and mom met her and was told she was very busy as she still worked but she could always knock on her door, if needed. Certainly not a reason to blacklist the place but it is the only blemish on what has otherwise been a good experience for mom so far.

What stood out is the Cleanliness of facilities, communication with staff and friendliness of staff, on-site rehabilitation facilities, location and accessibility,

Short staffed in housekeeping, the food is horrible- nothing is fresh, everything is canned or frozen. A choice might be bologna sandwich and canned oranges. Everyone is very nice, but they can't seem to keep up. There's a new director coming and we've been told that a new chef is coming and that nutritional guidelines will be followed. I don't like to bash them. Everyone is nice, and we are hoping things will get better.

It took a while to get acclimated as we really didn't understand their processes and we had a few issues. We are supposed to be notified when we are low on supplies ahead of time but we have had instances where supplies ran out causing issues. Once we worked out logistics and had a better understanding, staff has been great.

My parents moved into Tuscany Villas last September. The staff are very hands on and involved in daily activities. The activities director is wonderful with the residents and so enthusiastic. All the staff is very caring and genuine and you will always see them helping residents at events. Tuscany went out of their way to help my parents get wifi in their apartment so they could stream church services. I highly recommend this facility and only wish they offered a memory care unit.

Generally it's relatively friendly. The facility could use a little updating and replace done carpets. But the staff is very friendly. It is reasonably clean.

The faculty and staff are very supportive It took awhile to get used to them coming in often to check on me. Daytime aides more flexible than those that work at night.

At the beginning we were not very happy because of the cleaning of her room and the laundry not being done like it was supposed to be done. After complaining several times it got better. Most of the nurses and aids were very caring and helpful.

When it comes to the cleanliness the public areas get a 5, but our loved ones room gets a 2. At the moment there is nothing they could improve on and what we like the most about the community is the Friendliness of staff. We would most definitely recommend this community to other families

My mother in law likes it at Rittenhouse. She likes the food. I've had some concerns regarding medication and treatments I received bills for. [name removed] never calls me back. She is head nurse I believe. I've spoken to [name removed] several times and she helps me always. She is an aid. They have gone through many personnel changes since November. In general we are happy. [name removed] does not need a whole lot of care. Her memory and mind are failing. She is still mobile with walker. I hope I helped.

Most of caregivers are great. Empathetic and caring. Some are just there for the job and do bare minimum. [name removed] is the model every caregiver should have to shadow for a time to learn how to be caring, and thorough with cleaning and caring for patient. Overall we are pleased with care. I would love for you to talk to caregivers about not leaving dirty diapers and pads in trash cans in the room. Should always be taken out after cleaning resident.

So, the people that I worked with the get my mother into the facility are awesome. Really nice and helpful with all of the paperwork. The staff that is supposed to be taking care of my mother is terrible. The head nurse is nasty and they are inattentive to my mother's needs. She got stuck on her chair one day and it took 45 minutes for someone to come and help her. She's paying like over $[removed] a month for them to give her a vitamin d pill.

All are very good, but one item is the staff is not as thorough as I would except. However, yes we would recommend this community to other families. The staff needs to know what's expected of them in order to do it

The staff worked very hard to get my mom & dad placed together. One in memory care the other in assisted living. Keeping them together was always the goal. The size of my moms studio is perfect.

They were extremely helpful when I needed to transition my mom quickly to assisted living. They regular staff got to know my mom and knew what was her normal and not, which was great. They had a lot of staff turnover which was a bit challenging for my mom. I had to move her to a memory/assisted care before she passed but they were doing a rate hike of $[removed]which seemed pretty steep.. It seemed all the residents and families were complaining about the food. There were some delays in delivering the food and the quality seemed to decline while she was there. I'm hoping that has changed for them. They had to get new staff in to support them.
