Great place. My family felt it was time for my mother who had just turned 92, not to be driving and to be around people . We found 5 star from A Place for Mom. They were great in suggesting 5 Star after talking to them about my mother whois still very active. She went into the independent living part of the building where she has a beautiful apartment, lots of friends, plays cards and has a wonderful garden patio to enjoy the afternoons. She takes breakfast and dinner in the beautiful dining room where she dines with 3 other ladies. This fabulous environment is something that my family feels so happy that my mom is enjoying. The staff, cleanness, service and care is wonderful.

MORNINGSIDE IN THE WEST END is a very friendly and outgoing facility. ALL their staff are outgoing, friendly and kind. Their nursing staff, in particular management and/or supervisors seem to be MORE qualified that other facilities my wife has recently been a resident of. Additionally the service and care given is far superior and the monthly fee is much less than "The Crossings" and "Parkview" in the Richmond, VA area.

They are doing a great job, but nobody is perfect. They could do a little better with cleaning. The value for what you get is unbelievable. The food would be about a four. The only thing I think could be better is the cleanliness, the elevators and hallways are dirty, they need to do a little better with housekeeping. I liked the value and the appearance.

I am moving into "RITTENHOUSE SL" in Portage I in NW , Indiana this weekend June 22. Just for Mom told my Son and Myself about it. Until then I had not found anything of interest,that filled my wants & needs at a reasonable reasonable cost. It has several things that made it an easy choice for me. I recieve my medical services at the VA. It is within within the area serviced by th Villa, PLUS the clinic has bus service to their primary Hospital, for special serices that they do not provide. All this and more I found via "A place for Mom"

While visiting Orchard, we noticed it is a fairly new facility which is clean and nice. The staff is wonderful and mother-in-law's room will be only two doors down from the nursing statoin. Although mother-in-law loves to read they do have variety of activities. The studio is small, which may mean we have to downsize furniture.

Elmcroft has been good for my mother so far. It is a one story community with an open layout. They have everything any of the residents could need when it comes to facilities and resources. The only issue that we've come across so far is that my mother always needs her medications on time, and this has not always been the case. Otherwise, it is a good community.

Leisure Park is a wonderful facility that cares for its residents very much. There is a young staff that has alot of energy in planning activities for seniors that keep them active and stimulates their minds. They plan activities that gets them out into the world--lunches and dinners at local restaurants, trips to local mega-stores and supermarkets, and to church. The staff knows the names of the residents and shows real delight in working with them. My mother has been a resident three months and is making a very good adjustment. She usually enjoys the meals, which are in a lovely dining room setting. And the good thing is that this is a facility that is reasonable when you consider the cost of care of the elderly.

This community has been great so far. We had an issue once with my mother-in-law losing her dentures, and we never got them back after the staff said they would search for them. As a result, we had to buy new ones, which was pretty inconvenient. Otherwise, they have been great. It is well-staffed, they are very professional and caring. The activities are excellent -- there is a wide variety and they are offered often. Worth checking out.

The staff at Leisure Park is marvelous. They have made my mom feel at home and she is really enjoying herself. She says the food is fantastic and she is very happy not to have to cook any more. She is also making lots of new friends. She also loves her apartment. It's large enough for all her needs and cozy at the same time. The housecleaning service is also very welcome. Her eyesight is not good enough for her to be able to clean efficiently and at her age I am very glad that she no longer has to do her own cleaning.

The Day Stay program and the Respite Care has been a life savor for both my mother-in-law and my husband and me. Although, currently, those programs are what we are using, we know that the time will come when a permanent placement will be necessary, and will have no problem with this facility. The programs offered are wonderful and fun for the residents, with activates that stimulate the mind and the bodies. Staff are friendly and care about not only the residents, but the family members as well. The programs offered for the family are outstanding.

My parents love it at Wynwood! I knew from the very beginning talking to Carla in Marketing that this would be a good choice. Carla provides excellent customer service and found just the "right" apartment for mom and dad. This is difficult making a move to assisted living, but the entire staff made my parents feel welcome. The food is great (and this is a big deal for seniors), and the apartments are spacious. Mom was playing bingo the second night!! One last comment . . . my dad needed nursing care, but my mom is still very independent - I was very relieved to see the atmosphere at Wynwood conducive for both.

We're very pleased with the service here. The care that they provide is everything we were looking for, and they are priced very competitively compared to others that we looked at. It is excellent care at an excellent price.

We researched 6 local communities for our mom who is recovering from a stroke and has some mild dementia. Elmcroft is an attractive, well kept community and we are pleased to have our reluctant mom there. The staff is caring, competent and aware of their resident's needs. We can't say enough about how the staff keeps us notified as to mom's days and how they are going. They genuinely seem to love her, and she can be difficult. They have gone the extra mile to help us adjust to this situation and we really appreciate their understanding and comfort. Anyone who is placing a loved one in assisted living against their will, understands how difficult these decisions are to make and Elmcroft of Lorain has been with us every step of the way. We are very thankful for the care our mom has received. The food is good, the activities are all inclusive and well planned.

So very happy we found Charlotte Square! Cheerful, homey, clean and a friendly, helpful staff. Mom has a sunny little private room - a place my brother and I can feel good about. Also love the spend-down option, should that become necessary.

Elmcroft of Washington Township took the greatest of care of our mother while she was there. Unfortunately our mother didn't live very long but for the time that she did Elmcroft went out of their way to keep our mother comfortable, looked out for her, made sure she was fed, etc. Elmcroft staff was always very very friendly and acted like they genuinely cared for their residents. I highly recommend Elmcroft of Washington Township. Who knows maybe someday my husband and I will end up moving here. What a fantastic place to live!

We've just moved my mother in to Elmcroft, and the whole experience has been efficient, professional, and caring for what is best for my mother. The entire professional team is excellent, and the facilities are well beyond what we would have ever expected.

My dad has been there for 6 weeks. He's been going down for meals more often than the first few weeks. He is also participating in more of the activities. He particularly likes those that involve some kind of music or musician. It's taken him a few weeks, but he has a few "buddies" now. He likes it, but feels like a prisoner since he no longer has his car. The only other thing he complains about is the cost. He is not used to paying rent, since he has owned his home before moving into Library Square, and doesn't realize how much rent is now. On the whole, I think he's happy there. It's a very welcoming and friendly facility.

My mom has been at Five Star Residences of Teaneck since October. So far, it has been a very good experience: lovely campus, nice apartments, very good food (the best we experienced, and we ate at several before deciding), excellent entertainment in the evenings and good holiday/special event parties. The one thing I wished they did a better job of is checking on the resident and trying to introduce her more to the people there. They don't really facilitate this from what I can see.

I am so happy that I found Mountview. Mom is extremely happy there
