They've been very attentive, very thorough, and very friendly. I think they do a great job. The rooms stay clean and well-maintained. No musty or dirty smells. My loved one is happy with the food. They serve a variety of foods, and it's warm when it's supposed to be, cold when it's supposed to be, and fresh. They haven't been able to do as many activities due to Covid, but they keep her pretty well entertained.

Our special needs brother has been a resident at Brookdale Whitby for five years. All of the staff clearly love him and go out of their way to meet his needs. During the challenging pandemic the staff worked very hard to keep the residents safe and they remained COVID free during the entire time. We have never seen our brother happier than the life he has found here. Thanks to all of these angels!

We have two video cameras in our loved ones room. One in the livingroom and one in his bed room so we really know he is being treated well. All the staff treat him well and go out of their way to cater to his individual needs. We highly recommend Brookdale Whitby .

We came here based on a referral from our friend who is a massage therapist. She had been working on a resident in the community and overheard a staff member talking in such a gentle voice to a resident with dementia. That staff member had no idea our friend was even there, so she was that gentle and kind to the residents even when nobody was looking. Our loved one seems to be very happy here. I like that it's spotless. I couldn't even find dust in the corners, so I was impressed. Outside, the garden area always looks so nice and neat, and the windows look clean. The hallways, the elevator - everything looks so nice. Everybody I've talked to has been very nice and sweet to work with. Even the residents have been nice and helpful. The care has been great so far from what I've seen. The staff will work with our loved one, even when she's cranky and doesn't want to be worked with. I haven't tried the food, but I saw her lunch one day. It was a fried chicken sandwich that looked pretty good, and some sweet potato fries, and she was really happy with that. She says the chef is unbelievable. Sometimes she complains though that there are a few things she can't eat. One strange thing is she swears up and down they never gave her keys to her room. So she's been reluctant to leave her room without being able to lock it up. But she does have dementia, so it's possible she might have forgotten. I just need to ask the staff about it. I know she's been excited to get her hair done with the beautician who's there on-site one day a week. She hasn't really participated in the activities yet, but there's a nice garden area where I've seen a group of ladies talking and enjoying themselves. They have art classes and I'm sure plenty of other things.

We chose The Wellstead because when I started looking around I liked the location of the facility and it came recommended to us. The tour was really nice and the people were all great and very helpful. We have a private room and it is larger than the other 2 places that she has been. The common areas are really neat, they do things like ice cream socials every afternoon, they have a shop, music, etc. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Elmcroft because of the cleanliness of the facility and also I liked the all inclusive pricing so I knew what I would be paying each month. The room sizes here are very large and spacious. The menu does not have a lot of variety so they could improve there. I would tell others that there was an adjustment period for us as well as the staff, so give yourself time and do not be too critical too early on. I would recommend to others looking.

Brookdale Northville gave us a great tour. It was a very nice facility but it was more expensive and they do not offer memory care services here which is what we were going to need.

We chose Creekside because I liked the size, it is a smaller facility, I liked the interview with the staff, they seemed very caring and knowledgeable, and also they specialize in Alzheimers so the get more personalized attention. The room sizes here are beautiful, private rooms with a bathroom and they are also furnished. They have offered things to me that were never mentioned before such as therapy, a doctor who reports back to me, etc and they are completely transparent. I would highly recommend to others looking.

The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They do a good job taking care of our loved one and they have activities available for the residence. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience. The grounds are very nice and well kept. The staff know you by your first name and are just very friendly.

The staff have been greater than excellent. They're very in tune to each resident's personality and needs, which makes it very comfortable for me as my loved one's caregiver and the person ultimately responsible for her well being. I like that they're so connected with taking care of her specifically as an individual. They're very friendly, and I can feel their smiles over the telephone. They're very communicative, and we get recap emails about what's going on in the community. Every time I go visit, they're always doing something with the residents. I've been extremely happy with how friendly everyone is there.

We toured Stratford Court and it was a good facility and was actually our second choice. It is bigger, they have assisted living and independent living so you can move up later on if you have to. The average age of residents here was around 85/86 so it was not the best fit for my mom who is more active.

We are very happy with Coral Oaks. We chose this facility at the time because of the value for the money, the options of 2 meals rather than 3, and also the location it close to shopping centers and you can walk there. The apartment sizes are really good. The apartments all have washers and dryers in the units as well as a full refrigerator. I would highly recommend to others looking.

It's a very caring environment. The staff and the residents all seem very happy to be there. I think my loved one's care is great. They bring him his meds, clean his room, do his laundry. Whatever he needs, there's a member of the staff that attends to it, whether it's dialing a phone, or pouring a glass of ginger ale. If he needs something, they're there in is room helping him do it. When he first moved in, they brought him his meals during quarantine. They were serving things like halibut topped with shrimp, which is far better than the place we moved him from. The quality of the food is very good. Sometimes my loved one says its's too bland, but that might just be his taste buds. I think the activity roster is great. I mentioned to them that my loved one used to love to hunt and fish, and they created a nerf gun activity where the residents got to shoot "deer." So they're willing to cater to different interests, including male-centered activities. They also said they were planning a fishing trip once all this quarantine business passes.

We chose The Forum at Town Center because of the size of the apartments as well as the amenities that are provided within the apartments and the price was good. My dad said the food is ok, but he doesn't not rave about it. The staff members are very aware and attentive to each residents needs. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

After my mom experienced a massive stroke, I originally placed her in a facility other than Farmington Square. Looking back, I should have placed her initially with Farmington Square. I really appreciate the individual care and attention she receives, and the facility is well organized, well administrated, well staffed and is clean, modern and appealing. I love Farmington Square and the staff and level of care my mother receives and the level of communication I receive as her family advocate. I couldn't be more satisfied and highly recommend this facility for a loved one.
