Simply a very good place for getting older with life

Dining could be more varied with more fresh foods offered, staff is very friendly and the facility is inviting. They could take residents off campus more.

We loved our experience at Lincolnwood. my mother passed away in recent months, so we no longer engage with Lincolnwood, but our time there was very positive. both the independent living and nursing care were excellent. understanding, communicative staff and supportive environment throughout our experience.

Night time staff not well equipped to handle confusion and instability residents. 3-11 staff not all able to handle outbursts and can be irritants with reading of patients

The staff was very pleasant and easy to work with. Sometimes I had wished things moved a little faster but overall it was the right pace for my parents.

The people were very nice. Facility was good. There was a problem with them being able to control pests.

The apartment was well stocked and comfortable, mom says the food is good, and the staff seemed cheerful and helpful.

Staff is great but the Estate is having a hard time replacing chief nurse who just left...Yes we would recommend the community to other families if they can afford it!

The overall experience is very pleasant. The place is nicely renovated and aesthetically pleasing. The facility is always clean. Everyone is amazingly friendly. My friend is in an independent living and no care is required. The administrative staff are very kind, helpful and professional. Sorry to say it, but the food is not good nor is healthy for the elderly! The program for the activities is extraordinaire. It is expensive but one understands the cost of running such a huge facility.

The staff, both administrative and clinical have been great. The food is ok, typical of what you would expect. They have a good offering of activities. The facility itself is ok, but is in the process of being renovated. My parents are both there and have really had no complaints. Overall we have been happy and feel fortunate they got in.

Your presence sends a message to staff that someone is actively involved and watching. Residents with regular visitors often receive better attention and care simply because staff are more mindful of accountability. • Ask questions. Get to know the staff. Ask about your loved one’s hygiene, meals, medication, and mood. Follow up on anything that doesn’t seem right. • Observe the environment. Is it clean? Do staff seem rushed or inattentive? Are call buttons answered quickly? These are signs of how well the facility is functioning. • Document concerns. Keep a journal of any issues or changes you notice. If something seems off, bring it up—respectfully, but firmly. Follow up in writing if needed. • Understand the system. Many facilities are understaffed, and the best caregivers may be overwhelmed. This isn’t an excuse—it’s a call for families to be active advocates. Ultimately, nursing homes vary widely in quality, and no one cares more about your loved one than you do. Your involvement can make the difference between minimal care and meaningful care.

The staff is great. They care and make the en environment warm and home like. The kitchen staff provide delicious food in a great setting. Communication for specific issue is not always easy.

The staff is kind and helpful but not very responsive via email. You need to call and speak with someone. My dad says he does not like the food served very much.

We liked that she could have her own room even though she shares an area outside of her room with one other person. Staff have not been extremely accountable. They have had a lot of turn over. Once my mom settled she had a lot of friends and she enjoys the activities a lot. The food is good. They even served lobster rolls on memorial day. The social worker is top notch.

Friendliness of staff stands out. All of the staff are very friendly. The facility is well kept and they offer a variety of kinesethic and tactile activities for the Memory Care residents.

Southern in ambience and nature. A renovated older building. The residents have both privacy and fellowship. The food ranges from excellent to good. Love our one bedroom apartment. The only bad thing I have to say is about the maintenance crew. Our shower went from all icy cold, then they fixed it to scalding hot. Finally, got it right on the third try. Other than that, lovely place and people.

Staff is very friendly. Building/rooms are very nice. Main issue seems to be medications. Very inconsistent including discontinuing some meds for a period of time. We caught it quickly so no issues but you have to keep close eye on medications to ensure administer properly.

My father really liked Happy Hour. At 97 it was a way to socialize. The activities didn't interest him but more talks by interesting people he would have enjoyed. Sometimes cleaning his room was inconsistent. The staff was very responsive when I had requests or questions. They got to know me even though I only was able to visit every few months. The RN [name removed]was especially helpful. We worked together to make sure everything was done to make my Dad's healthcare work.

Value for cost - Unknown with no comparison. Staffing shortages on weekends. The staffing is our biggest complaint. I'm sure its like that everywhere.. no one wants to work and Indiana is a very small town
