I wanted a very expensive place for my aunt. She was very wealthy. It was very costly and my aunt passed away six weeks after I moved her in there she had asthma. They were not giving her her asthma medicine. One of the nurses even approached me when I was emptying my aunts room out crying saying that my aunt just said she needed air so I wasn't happy at all with them. The communication was poor with the staff.

It was not a smooth process at all, they didn't even know his medical needs, apartment ok, no carpet so makes it very slippery.

I have personally found that the head administrator is very unprofessional in how she deals with sensitive issues. She often will bring up these issues in group meetings in front of other residents. She does not work through issues in a timely manner and seems to only get involved when there is a crisis. I would say to anyone looking at this place to ask some very specific questions that pertain to the needs of the person that wants to live there. Many folks are doing well, but if you have any health issues, this might not be the best place for your loved one. Many of the residents are very nice people and friendly towards each other. They have a sense of community. They seem to socialize. They do gossip. However, there are problems with food. They do not have any menus in places for people with special dietary needs. The quality of food is very inconsistent. Many times, food brought to the rooms has been sitting around and is barely warm. They do a lot of deep fried foods. No diabetic friendly menus. Gluten-free, dairy free diets seldom get any variation past a chefs salad, but what ever they put in the salad still makes those with allergies sick. You also get charged extra if the food is brought to the rooms even when the residents are unwell to go to the main dining area. Management is inconsistent and does not solve problems in a professional manner. Most of the RNs are great, but one is challenging on residents. There's a turn around with staff. This area trains people to be cnas but these people leave once they have their certificates. Sometimes short staffed during the week. Always understaffed on the weekends.

Re the assisted living facility: The food is good enough, the food service is terrible. Dispensing of medication is generally accurate but not always. The call button on the pendant is always answered, but sometimes with a long delay (like, half an hour). The advertised weekly bed change happens usually but not always. Nursing station is unnecessarily noisy in the late evening. Residents generally say this place is better than most assisted-living places.

Courtyard Fountains would be good for someone really needing a retirement community. There are good maintenance people and the kitchen staff does try. The food was not that good and I am vegan and there were almost no options. The meals arrived at the table cold and the service was slow sometimes. There were occasions when there was no hot water. They did seem to have fun activities and I enjoyed the opportunity to use the green house.

Some of the staff needed to be retrained who cared for my mom. My mom had dementia and she didn't want to bother anyone or complain. My mom was a dear sweet woman. I would come in to visit my mom at lunch time and she would be laying in her urine. Her clothes would be wet along with her bedding. Very disappointing.

Addison is a new management company that started here on [date removed]. I know that a few people have been let go and a whole lot have voluntarily left. The administration is all new expect for one person. They aren't anywhere as friendly as the previous people (when [community removed] was the management company). I am hopeful that things will settle out positively.

Work staff friendly, the food is not as good as it was a couple months ago. Good entertainment provided.

My husband was there for only 6 weeks and then he came home. He was happy there. He had no complaints. Staff was Great at that time. He said there was not a variety of meals. They served the same thing frequently.

I'll keep it simple. No issues w the physical facility. The dr said she needed to be checked every hour and I had to tell them twice to do that. She was only there a week, so not much else.

The staff are very sweet and attentive. The place needs a major spruce up- patches walls, etc. And there are safety issues- water gets scalding hot in the resident's rooms, they placed bathroom cabinets so that he hits his head getting off the toilet. That was so they could lock up any products that a resident might accidentally drink. Only it's never locked anyway- so just a nuisance. Ever since a national corporation took over they've lost their best and most experienced staff.

Criticisms are: doctor on staff, awkward transition between Evergreen and Wellspring, and quality and consistency of nursing care. The grounds are lovely, as are the rooms.

A month or so ago, I would've given much higher numbers. But they lost their main nurse for memory care and things have gone downhill since then. They are currently understaffed. They need a second nurse. And they need a new chef. The food is not very good.

Over all I give them a 3 1/2 some area are making improvements others need work.

Your staff is excellent, I think some residence are not Assistant Living. They seem to be more skilled care, especially when they're falling asleep at dinner or lunch and they sleep until the tables are all cleaned up at the dinner table. Also, they need to feed some people.

Overall, not a satisfactory experience.

There is only one bathroom in a 2 bedroom apartment. There is no dishwasher or microwave in the kitchen. I had no ice cube tray in the freezer. There is no washer and dryer. Hook up space did not have electric outlet. I had to buy stackable washer and dryer but door to space doesn't fit. Shower is small. Salon doesn't do gels or acrylic or pedicures. Games are offered but difficult to get in to established foursomes. Meals are decent but wine or beer only is available on Friday and only one. is offered. Happy hour one drink is offered every Thursday.

Don't send someone who needs people to check in and make sure they are actually coming down for meals/not holing up in their apartment. I asked when she moved in and they promised they would. The vegetarian options were extremely limited and repetitive. Pasta with sauce multiple times a week A few months later she went over 30 hours without eating. No one checked in even when I asked.

The staff is nice. Food needs improvement. No fresh fruits or vegetables that I can see . Processed food. The care takers are very nice with the clients.
