I think it is really important for other families looking into Spring Oaks to know that you have to provide your own things such as bed pads, diapers, etc. Absolutely anything and everything.

It was not a good experience. Her arms were always bruised up and red. This was a [price removed] mistake. They were not able or equipped to handle memory care residents. They were always short staffed and had a lot of turnover. While she was in the hospital her medicine was refilled and had never been taken while in the facility. So we paid for it and it wasn't used. Meals where fine. If your loved one is further along in their dementia or Alzheimer's then I would not recommend this place.

After repeatability telling them my friend was going to be there two weeks only,and he was a Vietnam veteran, and advising them that this was coming out of his pocket, the salesperson went ahead and charged him [amount removed] we had to fight with them only to get a [amount removed] refund,which made it [amount removed] for two weeks, could have stayed at the Ritz for less, all they’re concerned with is there commission and they took advantage of a veteran

I was not crazy about Park Creek Place, it had a run down feel to it.

We chose The Club at Briarcliff because my dad had a friend moving here. It is a younger community, the average age of residents is around late 70's so people are much more active and social, so it is a great place if that is what you are looking for. The staff have been great and they have a lot of things provided activities wise. The food itself is good, but right now they are short staffed and they have 2 different shifts. My dad sometimes has to wait over an hour to get his food and they have been running out of food as well. Another downfall we have had is with the administrative staff, but regular day to day staff have been great to work with. The facility itself is beautiful, it looks like a castle. They have balconies that look over the river, it is just impeccable.

This community was nice but my loved one just did not care for it. The residents said the food was not good and we did not feel like they could care for all my loved ones needs.

It's not worth the money. This isn't a place for an individual that needs any type of care. This is independent living and not assisted living. My loved one thought the food was good. This is a beautiful community.

Wasn't to bad but then the community kind of went down hill. It seemed to be kind of old. They started updates but it did not fit what I was looking for. Some of the staff were also not very nice.

My loved one lived here in independent living for a few years and it was a good experience. My loved one needed more care and their assisted living was more of a medical model and we were looking for something that was more homey.

There are good people that live here. The food is terrible due to the taste and selection. Every morning they provide us with scrambled eggs and a side. You don't get any choices for breakfast and there are two choices for dinner..

Our loved one was here for several years, but they're just too pricey for the market in this area. And their services were not as good. We found another place that costs tens of thousands of dollars less per year, and their services are as good or better.

They tell you they are going to do things but they don't. They will ask for feedback but then never implement it or make any changes. There are very few activities and I would not recommend this community currently.

We entered in with unusual circumstances with a more end of life hospice situation. From a hospice standpoint, The Club required a 30-day notice to terminate your agreement with them. In a hospice situation, how on earth can you know when to give 30 days notice? So at the end they still expected that, and I feel that's kind of ghoulish of them. From a financial standpoint, they were more concerned about money than they were about people and caring for the residents. I would not recommend it for anybody going in for a hospice situation. They didn't have the ability to service people in need of 24-hour care. They sometimes responded 11 hours after a call was put in. They just weren't capable of handling it. I think they were understaffed, the staff wasn't educated enough, and the management just didn't care. My loved one was in such despair over the situation that I had to move her out. And they still insisted on 30 days notice and payment for the next 30 days. For a person who's older and unable to do things for herself like my loved one, it was not a manageable situation It caused my loved one panic. But for people who are capable of taking care of themselves, it's probably fine. That was not our situation. The management is the problem - they came by several times and said call us any time you need something. We can support you. But each time I called, I left a phone message and nobody responded. The non-administrative employees were all caring and giving and trying to do the right thing. It was management that was the problem.

A lovely facility, nice ongoing activities & very nice apartments...Unfortunately not suited to us as we require a first floor apt & covered parking

Ask about the training of the staff, The patient staff ratio, what enhancements are included in memory other than just locked doors justifies the cost for memory care. Communication was not good with the staff and I would not recommend this community to others.

This place felt very much like apartment living. Plus side: the pricing is really good. They have medical and PT on site. Drawbacks: detached garage, lots and lots of long hallways. No laundry in room.

I would tell others that I think they did not have enough proactive measures when it came to treatment during the covid period. They did not push back enough and as a result people were locked int heir room for extended periods of time. They have had a lot of staff turnover and I believe they are understaffed. The facility is beautiful and apartments are large and they were accommodating with price, but I think as they get more experience it it will be better. They are now starting to open things back up so that will be nice.

My wife rang her buzzer for over an hour and no one ever came to her. I called them and they only have 1 line there and the mailbox is full. When you call, you cannot get a hold of anyone. I ended up driving up there and was ringing the doorbell for 30 minutes and no one ever answered.
