Care was not good. He was not put in the proper room. He was stuck for hours in one place with no one checking on him for hours. He was thrown around like a rag doll when being moved from wheelchair to chair. Overall I'd give the whole place a 2 and that's being generous.

I would like to say that Every thing was fine until the flood. Frozen Pipes caused one wing of the first floor to flood. While my aunt was moved to another apt, her belongings sat in water for hours. Many of her memories had to be thrown out and most of her brand new furniture was damaged. Nothing has been offered to make it right. My aunt spent the last full day of life crying and feeling hopeless. We had problems from the very beginning of her two month stay. The apartment was not ready , there was electrical issues, we were promised a new stove, house keeping did not come to even take the trash out for two weeks.. everyone we ran across was very friendly and Finnly, the interim manager was very friendly but was understandably a bit overwhelmed. Had my aunt survived I’m sure we would have been able to work out all the little details.

My MIL recently was a resident, previously the management was very caring and in touch with family at all times but since the Director has retired within the past few months things have definitely changed. When we moved my MIL there we were told it was an age in place facility but after my MIL was admitted to the hospital and rehab we were told she may not be able to return. Management was supposed to go to the rehab facility to evaluate, they never showed up forcing my MIL to spend the holidays in a foreign facility instead of where she had lived at Aberdeen. A few weeks later my MIL had a stroke and was admitted into hospice care where she passed. One would think that management would have reached out to the family to inquire how their patient was doing within the 3 weeks they were away from the facility, we have yet to hear a peep from Aberdeen. Not the caring facility it use to be so don't be fooled by previous raving reviews.

Facility is nice. Food is good. Aides are babysitters. No nursing. Activities director (not a nurse) is the best employee. If the patient needs help, they call for others. My husband fell in the bathroom 3 nights in a row; all 3 nights they called the fire department medics to ambulance him to the hospital. No injuries any event. When I said the level of care was not enough the LVN said they were doing the highest level. I gave notice that day. I commented only on the Dementia Unit. The facility also has independent living and assisted living units which I understand are nice and well liked. I know it is known as "best in town".

The facility is quite nice but pricey. This is the fourth senior citizen living complex that my mother has been living in. It is the most expensive and they do the least for the residents. The activities are minimal and the lights in the commons areas are turned off about 7:30 pm. There is no one at the front desk after this time. The food and service at meal times has been severely lacking until just recently. I keep food items my mother likes in her apartment for her to have when she is disappointed with the meals offered in the dining area. The apartments are quite nice. My mother has a very nice living area. Her bedroom is small and the bathroom is a good size for someone using a walker. The kitchen area includes a full size refrigerator, sink and a few cabinets. Mom has her own microwave and a cart for it to be placed on as the counter top does not have enough space for kitchen items such as microwave.

While beautiful from the outside and the apartments are nice, that is the most positive comments I can make about Prairie Rose. This is the fourth place like this my mother has lived in. It is the most expensive and they do the least for the residents. Activities are very minimal. The food is the least appetizing of all four places. Lobby lights are turned off early and no one is at the front desk during the night. It seems like there is little security, but I don't the details of the security. There is a button by the front entrance should you need to access your loved one through the night if necessary.

This is what we feel, the problem is in the kitchen. The food is rarely good and the portions are small, they run out of what is supposed to be served and sometimes they change the menu with no notice. I seldom eat here anymore, and when I do I usually leave hungry and have to go out to eat again within a few hours. They serve soup daily and it's a joke. I used to own two restaurants when I was younger and I understand the problems, but they continue to allow the same things with no change. Management tries to help them by helping to serve the food and get drinks, but they need to take immediate action before they have no one to cook for. My fiancé hates even going to any meals and we're looking to move out.

Be patient and if you're not happy express to staff. They are very understaffed too! It came highly recommended.

Short staffed, had an issue early on where our family member fell and was taken to the hospital overnight and they called my wife's work number at a college instead of our home or cell numbers and has to find out they were in the hospital through a phone call from a rehab doctor asking us questions about how we wanted to proceed with care

Bellarose Senior Living has a ton of areas they need to improve on. I honestly feel like the parent company Sagora Senior Living is more interested in making money than giving their residents a great experience for their money. It is a nice place but their food sucks and it feels more like a business rather than a home.

They have a new manager and I'm hoping for better! But, at this point I would not recommend it to anyone. They have a lot of improvements to make. They need to improve on the following: Landscaping, cleanliness of facility, cleaning of occupants rooms, pest control inside and out, charging for dinners to take containers home in to go boxes. We picked this community, because it's close to me and they had availability.

They can improve by, having staff feed, bathe & care for residents, ask them not to blame the other shift, and not require additional private caregiver services. It wasn't a good fit. My loved ones care was extremely poor. I was the one who bathed, dressed him, and made sure he ate. Disappointed wasnt the word. We would not use or recommend HarborChase.

The nursing care is not consistent for what we are paying for. Laundry services are also not reliable.

We have been very disappointed recently with the service at Heartis. On multiple occasions Mom had to wait for over an hour for breakfast because “no one showed up” to cook. The wait staff is slow and often all other staff have to “pitch in” to cover. The staff that is supposed to respond to the button pagers are taking forever to respond. Such a lovely place with so much potential, but significant staffing issues.

I certainly would want others to know that the hands-on day-to-day staff that interacts and care for residents are amazing - they truly care and know everything about my mom. I am able to speak with them and get quality information about what is going on. We have issues with the management and finance department- there is a lack of consistent and regular communication. I find out a lot of things after the fact. There is also a lot of discrepancies with charges and a delay of recouping those charges as well.

The concierge staff and the maintenance team is very friendly, however all the other day to day staff is just not friendly at all. Our loved one loves their apartment but for what we are paying and for what you get it is just not worth it and we just have not been that impressed.

I would NOT recommend Heritage Oaks to anyone after the experience we had with the management there. They automatically charged a monthly late fee see despite not being late on payments and only refunded it if asked about it. That to me is fraud/theft. Secondly, they ran out of his medicine multiple times despite having full control of his medication. They didn't bring him all his meals sometimes he went without. The staff was hit or miss especially night time and weekend staff was subpar. They could never get the billing set up like it should have been from day 1. And their response to my father's death on [date removed] was atrocious. No compassion whatsoever and the staff had no idea how to handle my father's account. I have not received one call, text or email of condolences or how to proceed. When I spoke to the Executive Director, she was rude, snarky and quick to place blame on anyone other than her own management. Please do not refer them to anyone else unless they have a complete overhaul of management.

HarborChase smells extremely like urine and the rooms are extremely small. The sales rep was literally that. She was so happy to show me the dining rooms of different styles and so on and so forth. She was happy to boast on their chef who would be happy to fix dinner for elderly and family. I'm was quite sure that's why their costs are so high. I was not sold on this place in any shape or fashion. As far as the elderly that I came in contact with, they were great. They seemed very happy in their little groups. I met an Irish woman who was the life of the group. She was absolutely a beautiful person! Personally, I don't think they had a whole lot of interaction with the staff. I only saw one. Most importantly, the place didn't have memory care.

They are going through a transition. Sometimes there is no protein served with the meals, and they serve smaller portions. They don't have fresh fruits. They have a large turnover in staff. They only do laundry, once every two weeks. The staff has been pleasant. They don't have an activities director but they do have Bingo.

Elison of Graham is a lovely lovely place but may be better for those who need to be on the assisted living side and not the memory care side. The memory car is a secure unit and it really does feel homey, it does not feel institutional. However even during our loved ones short staff the helpers seemed like they needed more training - hospice was the one who provided our loved one with all their care. The memory care side and quality of care just needs some improvement.
