The tour was very good and the guide was very nice and knew all the details about the property and its pricing. The facility and the park like grounds presented a very pleasant and homey environment. The facility is 10 years old and is a little dated, but clean, inide and out I saw a studio and a one bedroom apartment. Both had kitchenettes only. The only appliance was a full size refrigerator. No microwave, stove, cooktop, or dishwasher There were two washers and two dryers in a community area that could only be used at night by residents. They are reserved for housekeepers use during the day. Meals were served only at 8:00am, 11:30am, and 6:00pm. However, it is a very lovely property. I prefer to have my own washer and dryer and also, to eat at open or staggered mealtimes. Last but not least, there are no garages or covered parking.

They had some problems in the dining room. The staff seemed uncomfortable about doing anything without asking. It felt like there was someone with control over the dining room. I did not receive one item I requested as a substitute and they took the entire plate back and it took a while for it to be returned. I signed a lease for one unit and I received a different one. The staff are really nice and the place is lovely.

I felt that this community was very expensive. I did see an studio, but it was right on top of the furnace room. I also did not like that they had keys instead of cards. I did not feel like I would be safe there. I did see some residents playing cards.

The staff they do have working are good. My parents do complain about the food. There have been days when they are out of things. They do offer daily activities. The service is not as good as they made it out to be. I think it is all about the money with them and not the residents. I think they need less management and more caregivers.

It is going okay for my parents. The community is not making the best meals. My parents have said it's cold at times and is not prepared well and lack variety. Otherwise it is a fairly clean community.

My tour of this community was a good one. The community was pretty well maintained. The staff I met was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions, it was a good experience. Their rates were a little bit expensive for my budget. It was good tour overall.

It has a pretty fair tour of this community. From what I saw everything appeared to be nice and clean. This community provides both assisted and independent living. If she was to need more care later on down road, she has to move to another part of the community. I wasn't very comfortable with that. It was a nice tour, but not the place for my mother and her needs.

So far it has been an okay experience for us here at this community. There are some concerns I have, it is still a work in progress. It is a nice looking community, they a good job with the cleaning. Some staff members are better than others. I do wish there was more activities available for her to try, and outside trips for the residents. She still very active and tends to get bored. Overall we are still working with them to help her feel more comfortable.

The community at U.S. Memory Care Colleyville is a very nice community. They offer a wonderful community that is very welcoming and bright. They offer a nurse on staff to administer medications as needed. The tour staff that scheduled my tour and was supposed to give me the tour was double booked. Another member of the staff gave me a quick tour.

The common areas of this community were clean, however they seemed short staffed and the residents rooms did not get cleaned weekly. The entire staff are nice. The food has a lot of celery in it and some of the residents are not able to eat it. We spent more money buying him food. They offer a lot of sweets for breakfast. I would recommend this community but make sure you check on dietary restrictions.

Was OK but rather small living quarters with the laundry facilities down the hall. No microwave and food was NOT GOOD!

The Heritage had more of a hospital setting and didn't feel like home. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to address all of my concerns. The Heritage was just not the right fit for my husband.

I took a tour here and I felt like it was a hospital. There were residents in wheelchairs just sitting there. This is not what I wanted for my parents. It did look nice but did not meet my expectations.

Do not like the location, but the level of care is what we need.

This community is very nice with nice people all around but it did not appeal to my mom. There are long hallways and the room that was available for my mom was too far. I felt that she would always have a problem walking down or up the hallway. I don't know what I would do without A Place For Mom's help!

My mother has lived at Royal Estates a little over two weeks now. She was hospitalized 4 of those days so I would say that she is really a new resident. When we signed the contract, we found out the facility had a new owner. I attended a meeting that was open to the family members of the residents and felt the communication was adequate and my questions were answered. How this new company will be is yet to be determined. I am also giving Royal Estates a lower rating at this time as we found the maintenance on the apartment less that adequate. It did not appear the apartment was inspected and maintenance issues noted and repaired prior to her move in. I contacted the maintenance manager and showed him several items. None of these repairs have been made as if this writing. The schedule for housekeeping, bathing, and laundry seems to be a mystery. We have yet to figure out when my mother is scheduled for these service. I am working with the head of the Assisted Living on some of these issues and hope to get them worked out quickly. I would like to leave a new review in a month or so after we have some of the new resident kinks worked out.

Overall the facility was OK. We noticed the public bathroom was not as clean as it could be.Also many of the staff had not worked there very long indicating a relatively high turn over. We were not impressed that the same staff was expected to both clean and serve meals even with a change of clothing. We did not feel that having management live on site was a plus since burnout can be a real issue.

My mother is doing okay at this community, she is still adjusting to it. It was very hard at first, moving my mother into this community. The staff is good, but I do think they can be more professional at times. Everyone is friendly and kind. There are activities for the residents. They had a high turn over and hired a lot of new staff. They addressed my concerns regarding the smell in my mothers room. The community is pretty well-kept. Everything is going as good as expected.

Our initial visit to the Clairmont met our expectations but the incidents that followed after we're not acceptable. I think family or a friend should help make the decision for the elderly as we took him to see the place and researched it for him especially as there is power of attorney in place. They should have someone present when signing a lease and if not be very sure the elderly is competent to sign and has full knowledge of what they are signing and paying for. I believe they were trying to get their quota for the month and pressured him to sign without anyone present. There were also things told that were not true. Because of this we will not recommend the Clairmont to anyone and will continue to look for another place. We also have not gotten the $800.00 upfront money back at this time and they are trying to hold us to a three month lease when we spoke to them on Monday after the document was signed late Saturday and no keys were given or no possession taken of the unit.

A Place For Mom was my first contact when looking for a place for my in laws and it was such a helpful service and helped us with identifying a great match. There has been a bit of miscommunication in the beginning and there were some things that could have been taken care of prior to them moving in but they are working on it. They seem to be very comfortable there although they are still settling in. There are many activities for them to participate in and we're hoping that they'll join in soon. I haven't heard any complaints about the food accept that dinner is served kind of early. I am confident that this will work out as they have already made the decision to sale their home!
