The people relation is good. Food is short coming - need more vegetables.

I like living here except for the food. We need better quality food and better preparation.

The person I was scheduled to meet with no longer works there. They didn't know I was coming. The Senior Wellness Director was nice enough to give me a tour. Over all the place was nice but a little small.

felt welcomed when we arrived however we felt rushed right into the tour without many questions regarding our loved one. Facility was nice but we didn't get the "warm fuzzies" we had at other facilities. Was a little surprised the monthly fee changes based upon how much money you put down. Totally wrong to do this.

Very nice facility with spacious apartments and friendly staff. Also a great sense of community within the facility. The only reason for three stars is that the facility does allow smoking in individual living quarters.

Felt a little tired and worn. I was not happy with the lack of fitness facilities. Thresholds at doors and step in showers were not appealing for my senior aged parents. [Name removed] the sales person is a gem.

Cheapest but not sure about medical care (I.e making sure she gets her meds.

We visited the memory care at Huntsville Harbor Chase last week & found the director, business office, & memory care managers of this facility to be unfriendly, secretive, & disrespectful of our rights & our family’s privacy. They weren’t able to manage the conflict, so they called in the police. At one point during the day, the employee in memory care came directly to our table & he proceeded to YELL his directives. This was rude, disrespectful, & upsetting to our family living there. This behavior from management was unacceptable. I also want to say that personnel have been negligent in communicating “house rules” & slow to respond to my inquiries about getting involved with loved ones’ care. The nurses & care givers’ do a good job there. They are friendly, prompt with their attention, & have gone the extra mile. We enjoy seeing them & appreciate their work.

Although this facility looks very nice- we didn't notice the same level of involvement with the people as the first facility. We also were not offered any brochures are any activity calendars to look at. This made us feel that it would be our least consideration when choosing a place for Mom.

Nice place, was a little to expensive for us, a negative for our family, since mother has had a stroke, was no one would check on her if she didn't come down for a meal, something they make a big deal over in their welcome packet is the food, it is important but so is the safety of their residents! Rooms were nice but if you want a space to do any of your own cooking this "kitchen" is not it.

PROS: nice staff. Food is good, place is clean. Community (Olmsted Falls) is safe area. Surroundings nice. They have activities, although my mom never participated, seemed like they were fun. CONS: Don't believe them for one minute if they say they check in every 2 hours. Mom was a fall risk, transfer/toilet assisted client, tethered to an oxygen cord 24/7. It was a crap shoot for help. She mostly did everything herself. We sat there one day after pushing the button 45 minutes with no one coming. I questioned and they're excuse was "our computers were on the fritz, there were issues with this or that". MY RETORT: Then at the very LEAST, all the residents NOT assembled in the kitchen or activity room should have been quickly checked on -- there are only 2 floors and 60 clients.... inexcusable. On most of "My" visits days, Mom had no on really check in on her -- and DEFINITELY NOT every 2 hours as they say. I guess their thought process was that if the client has guests, the staff doesn't need to check in -- (I'm paying THEM). They always say "well, we are short-staffed". My comment: My checkbook is short-staffed, so do I have the option to only pay a little?" And I say "your PRN list for workers should be twice as long as your regular daily staff list". No excuse. One day, NO one even came to see if she wanted lunch! Whether she wanted it or not.

At first they try super hard to be friendly and helpful but as soon as you sign on with them, they are hard to get a hold of. The patient staff are nice and friendly most of the time but upper management not so much.

Mom has been at Brookdale for 8 months now and so many of our issues have not been addressed. I am still not sure of what services the nursing staff provides. Minor issues were not able to be handled in house. Promise of some landscaping outside her lanai has not been seen to. The staff is most friendly and very willing to give assistance when approached. The problem seems to be with the management which seems to "pass the buck" when questioned. In general it has been difficult to get any real answers or solutions

The apartment is very nice, however they are so understaffed in house cleaning that the house cleaning staff is barely able to keep up. The food service is also in need of help. The food is not very good and your orders are rarely filled correctly or timely. More flexible transportation for non driving residents would be very useful. All in all improvements are needed in these areas to maintain the level of service as written in the contract

The grounds are quite spread out. They are going to tear down the Club House and redo the pool. I was not impressed with the rooms. They are very dark and the kitchen is right by the door with limited contact with the rest of appartment. They have a few cottages but crazy floor plans. Different! Not really my idea of a place to move.

With the prices they charge I would think someone would buy some white paint and make the entrance a bit more inviting. Paint was peeling and the place "looked" dirty in spots. Lunch was delicious, the apt was adequate, but nothing to write home about. ^The staff I met were delightful and knowledgeable.

Didn’t appreciate that when I asked about daily checks or check in for residents, she said that anyone telling me that they do that is not being truthful. If you don’t have it, then say so, don’t act like a politician.

Very nice staff and residents appeared very happy. Rooms are a little plain and activities were a little limited.
