There are some positives.....but there are negatives to go along.....At first the place was really good. But now that the new company took over or merged, there are some areas that are slacking. Now to give some credit, the lack of people working there has gone down so not being able to hire more staff might have something to do with it. Now the biggest applause I give them is the activities are wonderful. The director in charge of this program is wonderful and it shows that she loves her job.

There were a few things that steered us away from HarborChase of Huntsville. The location was not our preference. It was not quite downtown, but very much surrounded by the city and in vicinity of the hospital. They were remodeling the building, so I didn't get a good look at what the outcome of that would be. And they were also the priciest of the places I looked into.

We toured with Brentwood Estates and all of the people we interacted with were very friendly. It was an older building and had outdated furniture and décor. Also the residents here seemed less active and there was not much going on.

Prestonwood Court was one of the premier Assisted Living facilities in Plano. The facility was sold several years ago and the staff was replaced. During and after Covid they lost many of the staff. During Covid they had more than 20 residents die of Covid. The current director is a challenge to work with. The nursing staff has issues performing their jobs in a timely manner. The food is substandard and the chef explains that it is directed from the corporate level.

We toured The Brennity at Melbourne Senior Living, the community was very lovely, we liked the people and it seemed very nice. At The Brennity when you move from independent to assisted living, you are basically living out of one room. I felt as though I'd would've been moving into a hospital. Our top two community choices allowed residents to stay in a normal independent apartment, but assistance comes in and helps with whatever you need throughout the day. We preferred that rather than being in a single room. I didn't like that idea at all.

The people who take care of the residents are extremely friendly and really do a good job, but they are severely understaffed - the staff to residents ratio is not adequate at all. We do love the facility and when our loved one first moved in the meals and dining service was wonderful - but now it is still advertised as gourmet food but the residents get sandwiches every single night. The activities during the week are good, they do a good job with staying on schedule but there is nothing over the weekends right now.

So far we have not been here very long but I would recommend this community. The staff that I have interacted with have been good. The community is currently under construction and due to this the activity room is currently shut down for remodeling.

I liked this community but they were more big on how nice the community was and not as focused on the other things and the charges for my loved one. We didn't get to see a lot and I got the feeling that the care that was needed could not be provided by this community.

This community had multiple floors. We were disappointed. It didn't seem the person giving the tour was as caring as she could've been.

Our family had an in person tour and it is a nice community, but the memory care unit is almost in an 8 shape so the nurses station is centered in the middle like the other memory care community in this area is.

The facility itself is really clean but the individual house keeping could really be improved. When it comes to activities they bangs on drums and do bingo. A lot of the activities they said they would be offering are not offered and we do understand that they are understaffed but we are still expected to pay full price for everything.

A new company bought it. Most of the staff left. The meals seems to be off balance. You no longer have choices on meals. My loved one was served leftovers and breakfast with no meats, etc. The foods quality declined and the overall prices went up. They are short on staff.

The facility at Bristol Park at Cypress seemed nice. But they weren't really responsive. The tour was really fast. And I don’t feel like I got as much information from them as I did on my other tours.

Renaissance-Austin was not a good option for my loved one with mobility issues. There were a lot of levels, ramps, and stairs. Even their roll in showers had ramps built up and over the step in. So it would have been very difficult for her to be in that shower.

We had a nice tour with Rio Terra. We were looking for a place that focused only on memory care and we felt this facility would not meet my loved ones needs.

I think their problem other than being short handed is that they got taken over in November and I think that is causing a lot of the problems. The staff do really mean well and they try their best. It still is just not what it needs to be for my loved one. They have lots of activities provided, but no one ever makes sure my loved one gets there or encourages her to go, so she is in her room a lot. Every time I talk to anyone about it, they say it will get done and it never does and it is frustrating. There are just a lot of things that Elison could use improvement on, especially communication, but things seem to be improving.

This community is very pricey and not as big of a living quarters as the community that I was looking for. The other community had a lot more room to move around and worked out better for my loved one.

We had a good experience with the facility itself and the administrator, but there was a lot of turnover in the caregivers. There is not enough caregivers in that large of a facility to properly take of those who do need help. The same goes for their memory care facility. If you have a family member who needs some care, then they may not always get it. I would recommend the facility for more independent people.

I would recommend The Heritage Tomball with some reservations. They were short staffed during my loved one's stay. My loved one would get one shower instead of two showers a week. The activities were limited and due to the pandemic they weren't able to start church services up again. The dining room has assigned seating and this wasn't conveyed to the residents.
