I picked this community because I was told they had excellent food and a lot of activities. Some of the food is not that good. Some food is very good. Activities are not their priorities.

Facility is fairly clean, but my loved ones apartment is not. There has been high management turn over so any complaints have not been documented or followed through on due to the turn over. My mom didn't need much care for the first 6 months she was there and was able to independently participate in preferred activities. So it was ok, that they weren't very attentive. She needs more help now and the care/attention given is no better. If my mom wasn't almost [removed] and ready to go home to Heaven, I would have already called to try and figure something else out for her. Very disappointing!

The Holiday Renaissance- Austin community is trying to improve generally. Meals are inconsistent; good sometimes, poor other times. They could use more Activity Director led activities, rather than relying on residents to fill the gap.

Our family had an in person tour with Lakestone Terrace Senior Living and overall it was a good tour experience, but ultimately it was just not the place for our loved one.

We moved my mother in about 7-weeks ago. The pros: the staff is great, the people are great. The activities and services are great. Overall a great place to live if you don’t have to eat. The food is tolerable about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the time. It is so salty which doesn’t seem like a smart thing when you’re feeding the elderly. The amounts of food on the plate are tiny. Everyone we have met there has the same complaints about the food. And food is no small issue. We are talking about the health and comradely over meals. We planned my moms budget based on her meals provided. She would starve if she didn’t purchase food to keep in her room and get creative with how to cook it. This needs to change. She can’t afford to live there if they aren’t providing the food they promised. A group of us are gathering information and will go to management about the food. We hope that changes will be made. Because everything else is very good!

Residents have been very friendly and welcoming. Most of the staff have been also. Some not so much. Lots of activities. I'm unable to participate, but they are available. The food is prepared, not at all appetizing. Just plain bad food prep. The meals sound very good, but the prep is not. Very clean and quiet.

We loved them. But too expensive. Dad got sick and they increased his care to over [name removed] a month. That is too much for average person an should not be allowed. Increased price on us. Not acceptable. We really liked azalea trails at first. But they just kept uping our level of care. I would definitely choose a place with one price for all levels

Things the facility does well at - getting you to sign the contract and move in Things they need to improve on - communication with the families, time delivery of the meal, the workers attitudes, and they need to return phone calls. I am disappointed in nurses and aids in the way they talk to my aunt. Disappointed in not returning my calls. Disappointed in billing being wrong 2 months in a row. Disappointed not providing meals in a timely matter to a diabetic. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend HarborChase of South Oklahoma City to others at the moment.

Their Director of nursing is definitely the weak link. She has lost doctors orders, given the wrong medication or the wrong dosage on several occasions and is less than a truthful person. The food is well prepared but of cheap and low cost ingredients, ie the roast beef is processed, not freshly prepared, etc. However, the Activities Director is amazing. There are a multitude of activities/events each day and they cover a wide range of interests. I wish my Mom would take advantage of the many fun things available to her.

We toured Landon Ridge at Sugar Land when searching for Memory Care for our loved one. The atmosphere seemed positive, but there were a lot of missing pieces in what I was told. I didn't get the same amount of information as I did with other facilities, even after asking for it.

They lack in the most important areas. I would not recommend it unless they hired more staff, got rid of [name removed] and hired a more engaging Activity Director. The staff should be number 1 priority, and not just looks. My dad was in Ansel Park's Assisted Living and my mom was in their Memory Care. [name removed], Activities Director was very sweet and had good ideas but was not very engaging with my mom. The place is very spacious so they need more staff to accommodate the residents. [name removed], Marketing Manager was very nice and professional, unfortunately I cannot say the same for [name removed], Resident Coordinator. The facility is beautiful but they need better staff. They also need to allow the memory care residents locks on their bedroom doors so others don't just walk in on them.

Prairie Rose, when I took the tour, I smelled cigarette smoke and the person who gave me the tour said they were addressing with the family, but it turned me off, plus the facility needed much updating. Those were the main reasons we did not choose this facility.

Well, from the moment we walked in, it felt off. There were problems with the elevator, they were painting all the rooms we wanted to see or doing major construction. It just didn't feel as welcome as [facility name removed]. And, it was way more expensive. The grounds were beautiful at Rosewood but, I just didn't like it as much as [facility name removed] It also had a weird smell to it!

It was a bit better when it was Waterford but it started going downhill when they changed hands. Some of the staff is excellent, but many of the good ones have left. The ones who stayed are only there because they love the residents and are trying to keep their spirits up. The new people also don't take care of the workers like they should. That's why many of them left. The food was never very good. Almost half the rooms are empty since the new owners came. I guess that would tell you a lot. They are hiring some new people who seem good, but the question is if they will stay or not. We felt the need to get out of there in case they crashed.

It was not good fit for me. The initial impression I had from my visit, and the meal I had, with the beautiful free apple pie I was given, was not based on the truth and my experience changed my impression after I moved there. I moved there in July and moved out by the end of November.

One thing they said was that the new Holiday Corporate team is less responsive to calls requesting help for issues in the apartments, and seem more money driven than customer service. They have cut back the amount of money spent on food for meals in the dining room. They both said that since they don't have anything other place to compare it to, they feel like it could be better but they have heard of worse.

I love it here and am happy. My apartment is really cute. I've settled in and have met so many people. We have happy hours that are a good time. Housekeeping is light - they're not allowed to pick up anything when they dust, so I still have to do some cleaning. When you walk in things look pretty good. They're having trouble keeping staff in the dining room and in housekeeping. But the staff that are here are good, and I really like most of them. They just seem to have a lot on their plates. But I think it's a place where others could be very happy here as well.

Our family had an in person tour and we were arrived late morning and all the residents were still in their rooms, there was not a lot of activity going on. Also we first were schedule to see the more independent living but we realized our loved one would need more assisted living and when we wanted to see the assisted living side she was not really interested anymore and said if we had questions we should just email her.

Father has lived here for about 4 years, the food is edible for the most part and the soups are outstanding for the most part, it is unfortunate that the servers have no protocol to follow so the most stressful part of the day is spent in the dining room, you have no idea what portion of the meal will come first and if it is as ordered, one day on of my tablemates got a piece of frozen fish and one day we were told they had run out or hot water for tea!! we recently got a letter about next years rent increase and were told it is a little larger than usual but less than most other places got, my dad's increase was 67.5%!!!

Our family had an in person tour and we loved the level of independence that they gave their clients, but it wouldn't have worked in our particular situation.
