They do have activities for the residents to participate in.

The Heartis Waco community itself is very nice, the apartment rooms are really nice size and we have had no issues with that at all. They are understaffed at times so the care is lacking and sometimes the staff seem a little disorganized. We do think they would benefit from like a checklist or something during the onboarding process to make things a little easier.

Good place for independent Living! Especially when the individual can drive. I am glad that it works for us. We feel blessed to have our loved one there.

It is a nice community but there could be some improvements - the meals are always almost served cold so the dining service could be a little better. We do not really see any activities geared towards men and we have had some troubles with the medication management .

It has been great for my loved one, it has her socializing again and she has improved. Things started changing pretty quickly after we got here, there has been a lot of staff turnover. They are not doing book-keeping very well right now so there is a glitch and they cannot seem to get that straight. There has been a change in directors recently, so we are hoping the transition will get that all corrected.

Lakestone Terrace is a community for Independent Living, and my loved one needed more assisted living style which they could not offer, more than just checking on her once a day. I was not satisfied as my loved one needed more than what this community could offer.

Issues with bugs and complaints about the food.

Our family had a virtual tour and it just did not meet our needs, we do not remember the name but the the guy who was my contact was rude and tried to imply that I settled for less than the best for our loved one when I wasn't interested in his facility

My loved one is happy but there is a lot of disorganization. They are happy with their neighbors. We pickeded because, I got a really good feeling when I visited ,and they were very friendly. There has been a change in ownership and things that were promised, but were not included such as hardwood floors, so it was carpet instead. They are trying to include more activites which is great . Overall, I would not recommend this community to other families.

The staff members working at Holiday Brentwood are great but there is just not enough help and therefore certain things that were promised have not been met. Not quite meeting the expectations, we have problems with the food service and the billing department. We do really like the apartment and the location of the community and how accommodating they staff have been

Everything is good there, as long as you don't need any help or medicine. My loved one seems to like the food pretty good. They need to improve on their communication with the family, which is the main concern. In addition, they need to improve on, what they are willing to do as far care. Most of the staff is exceptional but it's one person dragging them down.

Right now, there is no maintenance. They're trying to hire somebody. I like the people and everything is fine, except for the maintenance. We've lived her for 2.5 months, and our dryer does not work. Our window won't shut, so we have tape across it to prevent the outside air from coming in. We were told we'd get shelving, but that has not happened. Our refrigerator went out and when they delivered the new one, it had food in it. They told us we would have a new refrigerator with an ice maker, but there isn't one. So we had to go out and buy ice trays. Ice trays aren't that expensive, but it's just we're the ones having to fix issues. There was no toilet lid or seat, so my husband found a toilet sitting out somewhere; he took the toilet seat off of it and put it on ours. We opened the door one day and the handle fell off. We had no keys until about three weeks ago, so our door was open to anybody. Our renters insurance person was quite upset that we didn't have any type of protection. In the bathroom, the place where the tile meets the carpeting was lifting. The carpeting itself is lifting up and coming out from the piece that's put across to separate and put it down. I haven't reported it because I feel that nothing gets done. I love it here and I wouldn't move anywhere else, but the maintenance is terrible. They have two maintenance people, but we have 137 units and that's not just enough. I realize that they had an influx of residents who moved in, which put a lot of pressure on their staff. They said they are hiring another "temporary" maintenance person, but they need to resolve these issues. The food is absolutely great. For activities, they have everything from going out to the see the capital, to exercise and movies. They have a person where if you're having trouble with your phone, as most seniors do, you can go down and talk to him and he will help you with any problems. We have not been able to take advantage of that because we're still trying to get settled.

They could work to improve on the food - it is just not a good experience for the residents the overall quality and really just everything about it could be better. They could do better with the safety - which is a huge thing. Also there is not enough space in the front of the building for the residents to get in and out of the car and be out of the weather

My son chose this facility for our loved one. I'm not sure I would've picked it. The price was the cheapest. They offer activities, [name removed] is wonderful! They offer light housekeeping. I would tell someone to look around especially meal times. We do have a new chef, so far he's bringing up the rating. They are also in the process of doing so many upgrades.

Our family had an in person tour and the community was absolutely beautiful, but the tour guide just did not really seem that knowledgeable and we did not get to see a lot of things on the tour - so the tour was lacking and for the price point it was just not worth it.

I toured Holiday Renaissance; we went twice and I liked it because it was super close to where I live. I wanted to like it more, but it is older, kind of dirty and had a real small dining room. The second time I went with my husband; we had a tour and ate a meal. The initial person who gave our first tour had just started working there, but she was already gone and no longer working at the community. The person who gave our second tour never stopped talking. The place is dingy and she opened one apartment to show us and immediately said, "That's not ready", but my husband saw in and it was covered in bugs. The people seemed happy there, but my dad would not have liked the cleanliness.

The food doesn't sound the best. Example: Hot dogs for dinner. I think her bathroom is not being cleaned very well. There is a musty odor at times in the hallways.

My loved one loves the food, and is always busy with activities. Be careful with this community. They are understaffed, and unable to keep staff. They are a bit overpriced. I initially picked this place because it seemed like it was a pretty well kept place, everything was great ,but things changed along the way. Also, the rooms are not very clean.
