Hopefully the Management changes they made took care of the issue.

Most are warm and friendly, the in house Dr and nursing staff is great but billing seems to be challenged. I think they need to start a book club or card games, bingo, arts and crafts, anything is better than nothing.

The executive director was let go during the time my husband was there, so the staff turnover was a concern. I think the staff really cared for the residents from my interaction with them. Overall I thought it was pretty good.

It was one of the lowest priced locations but it was old and needed repairs and additional security measures. They provide transportation to doctors appointments when needed. They also have shopping days and other off premises activities. However, when I was there...their food was often very bad. Fish and chips on the menu and what was served was a few fried shrimp and potato chips. Their cook claimed to be a chef. It's obvious he was not. This was an acceptable location because I spent the time working with management to improve on my wife's experience. The maid service was crap to put it bluntly. I had to hire additional help to ensure the apartment was kept clean. It seems it has changed hands now though. So I have no idea what the management is like.

It's adequate however it has a long way to go and with changing management. I would tell a friend, to look some more.

There has been countless turnovers with the staff on every level of management and care which says there is a much bigger problem at the top.

This is a little hard with the change of administration earlier this year. We were very happy with everything about Harbor Chase, but now.... Communication with admin is difficult. I haven't met new memory care director. Resident services mgr prefers email contact - and was out of office for 2 weeks when I reached out. Now no overnight nurse. The people I do see are very nice, helpful and caring.

Nice place, however if you have Alzheimer's or Dementia I suggest somewhere else

We reside in the independent villas which are far nicer than the main building. The facility director is in over her head. Operating without maintenance director now for six months (so maintenance isn't being done). Chef replaced due to health event. New chef trying hard but not 50% capable of prior chef. We are considering moving if things go further south! Location is close to shopping and health care. If management could get its act together it would be great!

It's nice and staff are wonderful but it's not worth the money.

My Mom is no longer at the Heritage. She left late February and is now residing within my home. I am now her caretaker. Her experience at the Heritage was not pleasant for her (for a lot of reasons). Her expectations were not met; however, I felt the facility was an adequate, safe, pleasant facility. Facility has its faults. (Poor food choices, preparedness, temp. Staff/personnel overturn ). Management is aware and is trying to improve. Overall facility, I felt, Heritage was great.

They started off trying to make sure my Dad was included. They would check on him to remind him of dining times, etc. He was taking care of his own meds for a month, but had to switch to Elison staff administering them. I didn't feel like they were careful to when to administering meds and it resulted in confusion. Eventually it settled down and then there was an outbreak of covid. They did not take care to shut down the dining room until they allowed some of us to attend a Family night dinner that resulted in my Dad contracting covid and as a result passing away. I actually think he probably had covid the night of the dinner. I think the current administrator is trying to change the range of clients to those who are very independent. This is not what my 97 year old father needed, as well as many of the other people living there. They did have extra things for the people to do almost daily. I don't think my Dad had enough time there to rate it any higher and might have scored lower.

They seem to have a problem with violent crime in the area which makes residents feel unsafe. Also there are many people in the community that need more intensive care than is appropriate for an independent living facility. Finally, the food is good but they are often short-staffed, which leads to long wait times at meals .

I would move out but this was the best price available. The windows in my apartment are foggy so I can't see outside. Hallway rug has stains and there's a lot of bugs. Staff is friendly, but front office staff will lie to your face. They make promises regarding repairs and don't follow through. Facility has made it clear that I live in Independent Living and they won't do anything to help us except dial 911. They use too much salt and it's mostly carbs. I'm still working so I haven't had a chance to attend many activities as they are all during the day. As I mentioned above financially this was the best deal in town. The building is very old and has many problems. It could be cleaner, for example dining room chairs are sticky. But I'm settled so will stay until the end of my lease. "Disappointed" really sums up my feelings now. Based on promises made by the sales person I really am disappointed.

Definition of "assisted " living. Staff is great. Facility does not respond in a timely fashion. Encouragement of clients to attend. My sister may be difficult, but that should not stop the encouragement for involvement.

Management helpful (lots of turnover though). Location fairly clean but not individual rooms. Feces on wall and floor disgusting. "Cleaned" twice a week, but not well. Floor not mopped, nothing wiped down. Management nice, staff 50/50. Some staff helpful but others not friendly or even available. My family member had numerous falls and was laying on the floor for hours before discovering him. Always in wet underpants, not checked on or changed frequently although paying for high care level. ALWAYS SEVERE UNDERSTAFFING! High turnover with staff. Meals bland as expected but good variety and quality. Most were church based or bingo. No off-site options. Some musical artists occasionally. Very expensive for the level (or lack) of care paid. Better care elsewhere that's cheaper.

I would say do not move your loved one in there. Unless they are totally independent and require no assistance. They just went under new ownership for hopefully that will help all of the issues. Trying to deal with the Director and the administrative people on financial issues with the accounts is a nightmare. Months to get anything. resolved.

Overall it was a good experience. Dad had advanced Alzheimers and Parkinson. He wouldn't/couldn't comprehend what was going on. Dad was there only 30 days before passing. Can't make an opinion based on that time, but based on the experience we did have with Lynridge, we would recommend them to other families.
