This place is not for my family. The building is outdated. It did not have a clean smell. The staff was friendly and helpful though. Prices are too high for an old place.

The person in charge was not the best but the staff was great. I didn't think the good was great. Breakfast was nice, but lots of soup and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. They would give packages of condiments which were hard for many of the people to open. The activities they provided were varied and the special ones were extra nice. The place was pretty clean but they did not put extra energy onto individual rooms. The room size was fine with an extra big closet, kitchenette(refrigerator, sink cabinets and place for a microwave, good sized bathroom, a d bedroom sitting area combo. It was plenty big for my father.

We recommend the staff with just a few tweaks to some experiences. Maybe an option to add for those who care to have a little more flavor in food. Provided seasoning packets at their risk, but our loved one likes the apartment and the people there.

I like the people of course ....the food could improve though. I would recommend this community to others

I have nothing to compare the value to. Staff members very friendly and always helpful and available. The meal schedule could be improved.

I liked the location and how nice the staff was. Everyone there seemed to like their job. I do think we were mislead on how " mentally with it" the residents are. VERY few, if any, are really functioning in the real world, so to speak. It seems that almost everyone has glaring memory and behavior issues... not just small issues. As a result, my sister has not really found friendship or bonded with her neighbors. It seems to me, most of these folks are in a different category than she is. We were kinda led to believe there were several others in similar conditions as she is, but that is not the case.

They need to install cameras in the hallways. The chef is great, servers quite efficient, most residents friendly. The programs fun. Beware theft. I had $[removed] loss from my apartment & management didn't feel responsible, even though they had checked out the key & not made sure it was checked back in. That's why I moved. Make sure you get insurance & also install cameras.

The independent living is extremely independent. They do the bare minimum and dont necessarily look out for resident's safety even when asked, which I understand liability wise but othet facilities offered 10am check ins for ALL residents. They only offer free breakfast and dinner which wasn't explained to us in the beginning only that two meals were free. Dining staff and cleaning services/maintenance are the best staff when it comes to warmth and caring.

Overall everyone is very friendly. There has been a lack in communication between facility and myself as far as medication (lack there of), progress, and status. There seems to be a high turnover of staff in our 6 weeks.

New management at Hawkins Creek has changed conditions quite a bit. Aides are not attentive to patients, rooms are not cleaned, and clothes disappear. One med aide was was rude. I watched them sit down and talk ignoring patients. Only a few of the experienced aides would even talk to visitors. Very disappointed for the price

one of the amenities is supposed to be a weekly cleaning of his apartment. He's been there 4 months and has only gotten 1 cleaning. Apparently they can't keep staffed. it is extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone. We're promised countless call backs that never happen and are told the person we need to speak with is never there when we call, even when we call during the times they told us previously they would be there. he has complained a lot about the food. We came a few times to try it, but I feel they take extra care to only make our plates good when we're visiting, not for every day. a lot of the amenities aren't happening. There has been no van driver or cleaning for months.

Communication was an issue. Staff was caring. Food was good Activities were good. Friday happy hour with live music was always fun

She has been there over a year. They have had some change in management and it has not been as good. They have had trouble keeping staff. Otherwise the apartment sizes are good. Beautifully kept spaces. Food is good. Staff is friendly. They could use more activities and things for them to do. But again I think that is staff.

Brennity started off great. But as time went on they could not keep staff and it was hard to get answers to anything happening. Mom took a fall during the night, don't know how long she was on the bathroom floor. Broke her hip, collarbone and arm. That was in [date removed]. She went to hospital and then rehab. We brought her home as I relocated to AL to take care of her. She came home in [month removed] and passed at the end of [month removed] We are still waiting 9 months later for our refund from Brennity of prepaid expenses. Always someone new is handling it whenever I call.

My dad is well taken care of but there's been a complete turn over in staff and the billing keeps getting messed up.

The staff is great! But their billing process leaves much to be desired. Ownership change and too many changes. But the staff were wonderful.

If they are relatively self sufficient then the facility is good. Nice location, good food, plenty of activities. If they need more assistance, the facility is quite lacking. Medication administration is awful - they ran out of my mom's medication and didn't tell me until I inquired 10 days later because her sugar was out of control. They have lost paperwork that was turned in to get her on their pharmacy network. They were not getting her for meals (this was finally corrected). They have turned over several people that are in charge of these types of tasks so I am hoping the new people will get it under control.

The staff in memory care were very kind to my Mother. Administratively, I had to move my Mother's room 3 times in 6 months.

At first my dad really enjoyed it, then they were bought out by a larger corporation based in Texas and since then things haven't been great. They cannot keep staff, especially in dining. Currently they are without a chef, so meals are being catered in rather than the resident having the choice of food like offered when my dad moved in. Rates also increased after this new corporation took over.

I didn't rate any as 5 as 5 means perfect to me and no place is perfect. Waterview is wonderful and I'm glad to be here. It's a great place & I especially enjoy all the daily activities they offer.
