Sagora Senior Living

It's a sister facility of Covenant Place. It's over on the other side of the freeway by the Sterling House. My mother's sister is in there. It's a little bit more ritzy. It's a lot more money. My mom didn't want to go there even though her sister is there.

It was a nice place. Barbara was helpful and informative.

It's close to where we live and close to the hospital but it was too expensive and they weren't willing to negotiate. They didn't even say we'll see if we can work something out. They were pretty firm on their price.

My brother-in-law was there. He had people that the ate with and men that he became friends with there. One thing that I didn't like with the Rosewood was that they led us to believe that he would be getting VA money long before he did. I waited the 90 days and then I started checking up and the organization that they had recommended had gone out of business so we had to start all over. It was 18 months before we got funds. I wish they would be more upfront and realistic about that because if they had we might have spent his funds differently and looked into other options like medicaid. They raised thier price too which I didn't like. I know they have to but I didn't like hearing that in a letter from corporate. My brother-in-law liked it there. He was so much better that at home. The place was always well maintained. Everytime we were there it was clean and the people were helpful, particularly for us being so far away.

It's a great place, they're really friendly. From what I've seen around everywhere the cost is fine, all they do is provide meals and clean their rooms but for that part they do well. Lunch is good, its the biggest one, its's all good, it could be a little healthier but the people living there probably wouldn't want that. They've always got something going on and they have a real nice activities director. We chose it for the value, the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. She likes it, she likes the people and most of them are pretty friendly, nice people.

My mother-in-law has only been there roughly two months and I don't have any complaints. They seem to be really friendly and do a good job of controlling her medications and monitoring those. They seem to have a lot of activities that a lot of the poeple can do and enjoy. The food is good. I don't have any complaints.

She loves the staff, they're very kind and attentive to her. The room is very spacious and it's very easy to get around in a wheelchair. The lobby is beautiful and the dining area is very attractive. The food is a little bit above average, but thats institutional so I think that's about as good as it's going to get. She dines sometimes and sometimes she doesn't like it but anytime I've called the front they've been able to help me very quickly. She plays bingo a little bit but she's really not interested, she would like to just sit and visit, she goes to the beauty salon and likes that and she gets along with everybody.

ALSO VERY NICE FACILITY. A LITTLE NEWER THAN HOMESTEAD AND A LITTLE 'FANCIER'.

I really did like Brentwood. I almost got a place there for my dad. It had a balcony so he could sit outside which would have been really nice. The issue is that their down payment is not refundable. They say they weave it into their orientation process but it's $1000 that you don't get back. It's very nice, a little bit fancier than other places. The staff there was very nice and their dining room is a little bit fancier but they're not an assisted living place either. So it was very nice but the whole business with the deposit turned me off.

It looked like a fine facility but you didn't get as much for your money. It was more expensive and there was not as much space or as much provided.

It was okay. At that time I was just looking for senior living for my great aunt. Now she has dementia so the care needs have changed. It's upstairs and downstairs and that was my main concern. I didn't want that because my great aunt is not that mobile.

Could not ask for more professional, caring nursing staff. Really work well with dementia patients, know how to redirect and avoid confrontation. Can always count on a call if any problems. Wish I had known that level of service unlikely to change and additional charge for medication assistance, also that dementia unit has two sections, one more severe than the other, and difficult to get socialization my mother needs from location in more severe section. I would make the choice to bring her here again, but wish some of this had been explained up front.

Even though my dad is with her all the time my mother has started to want to wander and at Stonefield you could walk right out the door, no necklace or anything, and there was a street out front. The rooms here were smaller than the place we chose too.

Their small rooms, 500 square feet, were divided into three rooms with walls so they were REALLY small! Also my mother has started to wander and their doors could just open and it was on a major street. I know it's hard to believe but there is a major street in Murphy.

This is probably the one i will choose in this area. will interview when construction site is completed.

They have more activites and were a little nicer that the place we chose for my grandmother. Money is not an issue for her so we offerd to move her here but she says she's comfortable where she is. When we went there were people ready to give us a tour when we arrived. It looked like a very lovely place. It was the most expensive of the three we toured. When you first walk in their dining room looks like a French bistro. There are huge, high ceilings in the common area. It was really nice.

I haven't seen any activities. The only thing I could say is everytime I go over there my dad is in his room and in his bed. They say he's up all the time but I never see it. They have great food! He likes it there.

Pat showed us the facility,inside and outside; people walking around looked very happy. Buffet lunch had a food variety.

My dad has only been there a short time but so far, it seems to be good. He came from another place that was more assisted livng/skilled nursing and Emeritus is more of just an assisted living so the care is a little bit different but we're paying the same amount. I think overall, they're really trying and they really seem to care about the people that live there.
