I toured this community and it was beautiful! Very crisp and clean, very modern. Everyone seemed very nice and mom loved it.

This is a good value for the money. There are different floor plans to choose from for apartments. The meals are okay. The community has a hard time assisting with dietary restrictions from what we've seen on the menu. The meals are a lot of carbs and higher saturated fats and it would be nice to have more heart healthy meals available for the residents. The windows are awful and you can barely see out of them because they are fogged up. The grounds of the property are very pretty. There are nice views from the apartments available.

Pros - the staff and there residents living at Elison of Pinecrest are so nice and typically upbeat and nice to be around. There is music and different activities happening. We like how a couple times throughout the month they throw these different events in which the residents get a bonus - a nicer dinner and there is usually a theme to it. Cons - The furniture and rugs are very old - that could use some updating. The gym has some very old equipment and the treadmill stick and makes a loud noise. There is not much in terms of good gym equipment. The meals are struggling, they are having a hard time keeping kitchen staff right now. There is a new third party company that runs it and the quality if just poor and sometimes the food is overcooked, bland or salty.

I would recommend you check the community out. This is definitely an independent living community and not an assisted living. The family has had issues with making sure our loved one is receiving the dietary restricted meals that our loved one can eat. The community hasn't really followed up with us on this issue. Overall the communication is good. The apartment the closet doors come off easily and this can be frustrating for our loved one. There are communal laundry areas in the building for the residents to use.

I toured this community and it was very nice. Price was higher than several other places. Ultimately, we were looking for a smaller community for our loved one.

We're happy with Bristol Park at Conroe. It's clean and welcoming, with nice staff. They do really well with the activities. It's a good option.

They are currently short-staffed but appear to be working to resolve that issue. The menu is limited, and the evening meal is a disappointment. But the staff that are there are extremely welcoming. And the apartment is adequate to meet my loved one's needs.

My experience at Bristol Park has been much better than where I was at before. My cat loves it here and they love her. They even gave us a welcome basket and they gave my cat treats as well. The food here is a lot better than where I was at before. We get 2 options and then they have a menu that is always available so if you do not like what they are serving, you can order off of the alternate menu. They only have one driver so you can only go to appointments Tuesdays and Thursdays, but they are working on that and trying to hire more people so that the van can run 5 days a week. The staff is wonderful. The building is not as fancy as where I was previously, but it is homey. It feels like I own this place and that has helped me in the whole transition. Everything about this place I like. I would absolutely recommend Bristol Park to others looking.

I have to say that my cousin was mentally challenged & all the residents & employees were very nice & gracious to him during the very short time he lived there. It is a nice independent living center. One thing to be aware of though, is to read everything before you sign & have someone read it also before signing to make sure you understand everything. Also, make sure & keep a copy of everything you sign. One thing that we did not realize, was that we were obligated to pay for a minimum of three months plus the deposit. My cousin lived there for less than a week, had a stroke & later died, which was not the fault of the home at all, but we were still obligated, according to what they told us, to pay for three months rent plus the deposit

When we first came to tour Elison of Pinecrest everything was very clean and we really likes the room sizes. Our loved one is starting to participate in the activities which is great. We talk a lot with the staff and the nurses and they are all very nice but they could work better with their follow through and their communication with the families. The meals times are also very strict, the residents can only eat within a certain hour and if they miss the meal time they have to wait until the next.

We toured this community and it was good. However, the rooms are very small and not wheelchair friendly. They're so small we weren't even sure how we'd fit chairs in it for visitors. The staff was friendly and cleanliness was good.

HarborChase of Huntsville: they're doing okay. Nothing is ever perfect in homes like these, the only thing here is their turnover and so forth. We've actually put my mother in hospice and I think that will take care of some of our problems. Some of our problems were regarding medical-type things that we got straightened out. HarborChase were making decisions that we were left out of, but I believe we've gotten those things resolved and she seems to be doing fine. We believe that hospice will take care of her immediate medical needs. On a positive note: they've been responsive to our needs whenever we needed something. They typically respond pretty rapidly when we call. I would tell others that you have to mange it; you can't just put an elder in a place like this and think everything will be taken care of. You need to be there as an advocate in making sure they have the care they need. Based on past experiences with my in-laws, as you go up and down the scale your involvement needs to be a lot more, especially when someone goes into assisted living. Yes, you're paying for the assistance, but you still need to be involved, and that goes for any place that you choose.

The main thing that sticks out to use about Heritage Place is the staff, they are incredibly helpful and check on my loved one regularly and help her get to wherever she needs to be. I would recommend Heritage Place to others families.

We picked this community, because my loved one knew people that were there. It is a pretty community, and they are well appointed.

They were short handed in housekeeping and my loved one, was not receiving regular service. Regarding activities, there was nothing appealing for active residents. The grounds are private, quiet and beautiful. I picked this community because, primarily location, second was the "right apartment" size/availability/location in the complex.

I think some changes have happened during our experience. We had some bumps but I have not had any big complaints. I am just glad I am there for my loved one to advocate. I do feel like there should be more nursing staff available 24 hours a day and I do not see that. When you have residents who are older and need assistance, sometimes they get sick and there is no nurse. They do have med techs, but not an actual RN. If they had a nurse, that would give me a lot of peace of mind. The in- house therapy workers here are AWESOME and they do so good with my loved one. My loved one has made huge improvements. We are so thankful for them. They are trying to do more activities for the residents and I know that is hard. The residents love sitting on the front porch and I wish they had more of fenced in area where they could go sit and watch people go by because I know they love that. Overall we have been pleased with our experience, these are just some suggestions that I would like to make.

It was a great tour experience. Everything that my love done needed was provided. They has both asssited living, and memory care. It was a nice facility and great community. There was no avalability for my loved one to move in.

I liked Mirabella Living. I thought it was a very beautiful place. The staff seemed nice. One thing I didn't particularly care for is they had a la carte pricing, so it was difficult to determine what the actually monthly price would be.

So far, my loved one has adjusted relatively smoothly. They take my loved one, to doctors appoitments, help with scheduling, and the aides are very helpful.

Azalea Trails is great, it is just way too expensive. We came in on the lowest level of care and within 2 months got moved to the highest. The care they provide is wonderful. My advice to anyone looking for memory care would be to go someplace that does not have levels of care because they will always need more. Go some place that has one, all inclusive price rather than add ons.
