The nurses and regular aides have been the same for the whole 18 months which I like. But, things have slipped since the management left. The biggest thing (which I told the new Manager) is the aides shouldn't have access to their cellphones while they are working because they are on them too much when they should be caring for the residents and engaging with them. And of course, everyone blames the other shift for things not being done....The manager of the facility and the Memory Care unit have both left in the last couple of months. I met with the new Manager of the facility and I think he will make some necessary changes. Biggest problem is the aides not doing their jobs. So Staffing is always an issue

My mother was a resident of the Veraden assisted living facility for the last year of her life that ended May of 2024, The nursing staff at the Veraden are some of the most compassionate people I have ever met. However, the Senior management of the nursing staff was mediocre at best. I think this is why the turnover rate is very high and morale is often noticeably low. The facilities are nice but maintenance is often very slow to respond and requires multiple requests. The activities are second to none and are varied and high quality, The support staff are kind and friendly but there is an overriding problem of communication throughout all staff. The food quality is marginal, and the menu is rarely changed. it is evident that cost overrides quality and taste.

Recommend getting a camera installed in the room to watch over loved one. Most of the staff is great but there are always a few that aren't and it's usually the midnight shift. There are tons of activities at the facility and out of the facility for ppl to enjoy and it feels more like a resort/hotel/apartment and not a nursing home. This is definitely one of the best places for my loved one and I'm glad it's not too far from me. It does cost a lot and I'm not too fond of the annual increase but it's the best place out of the other facilities I toured for my loved one.

We have a new Executive Director and there has been a number of changes in the staff. Haven't had a lot of interaction with most of them yet. CNA's are very helpful and caring. Housekeeping is very good. I probably should have given it a 5 rating. The meals are good quality and the servers do an excellent job. The move in went very smoothly because we hired movers that specialize in this and they packed up things from our home and unpacked everything here, even hung pictures and wall decorations. All we had to do was walk in! There are a lot of activities but my husband and I are disabled and I'm don't participate much. There is a driver that takes residents to medical appointments. Once a week there is a trip to Walmart and on Friday the van goes to a different restaurant for lunch. And sometimes they have different trips during the week. Overall The Veraden is a very nice facility and I would recommend it.

I would recommend it to others. The food is outstanding and so far the care of the residence is good. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes it's hard getting to speak with the nursing staff. You have to leave multiple messages and just keep trying back before you can get to speak with the nursing staff. I feel like it would help if they had a better system or way to communicate with family members and residents with questions. Other than that so far, everything has been great.

Since the name change, the food has improved greatly. My father hasn’t complained as much about the options and overall taste. They are a little slow to take care of maintenance items I’ve brought to their attention. My dad has been there for 3 months and we’ve complained his toilet doesn’t flush simple toilet tissue. I’ve also asked for broken irrigation boxes to be replaced. They’re right in front of his backdoor entrance. My dad’s place was pretty dirty when we got the keys. We cleaned all the windows inside and out, the floors were pretty bad, and his patio was full of spider webs and miscellaneous debris. Once all that was done, my dad moved in, has been happy, and has made friends.

Mom has enjoyed her stay. The property has been bought by another company and the facility is now called Lynridge of Waco. New owners are making improvements. The food has improved since moving there.

We were very impressed with the pecan point especially with the cleanliness and how nice everyone was. Once she got moved in they changed directors and things changed a little bit. I’m not as happy as I thought I was going to be but so far it is OK.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Harrison of Wildwood and the overall experience at this facility was good. However, communication with the family was poor. There were ownership changes and with that change, there was some decline.

The place is wonderful, I give them all 4.5. My was in the hospital and had to go to memory care in order yo be released. Bristol Park helped us get her moved early Monday morning so her room was ready when she got home. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Overall, I am pleased with the cleanliness of the Brennity. The majority of the staff that I have interacted with are amazing professional, hard-working people. I have been grateful for the way the staff observes the residents. When there is a change in behavior they look for underlying medical issues for example UTI. My mom has had two medical emergencies that were handled very well. The meals are served on time. The residents can choose what they like. Snacks are provided. They eat in a restaurant style setting. I appreciate how staff will come find and invite my mother to come participate in activities. They play bingo, do crafts, watch movies. They also bring in outside entertainment. I find the Brennity very expensive, however, with everything that they do and provide, I do not see how they could charge less.

His care takers played dominoes and cards. He enjoyed the food. He was able to walk when he wanted to. Sometimes he would cruise around in his wheel chair. My cousins and I were able to visit him. They're are so compassionate.

I would recommend to others.

Few are not really friendly there.A resident says Hello and Good Morning and few do not responsed.If you have some issues to be fixed some act like it is a burden when addressed.Food is very good and different choices.

My loved one is currently a resident at Asher Point Senior Living of Austin and the overall experience has been good so far. This facility is located in a good area with a lot of restaurants and grocery stores around it. The facility is a bit older. My biggest complaint is the staff turnover, in all areas, which leads to shortages of all kinds. To me, staffing seems crazy prevalent in this kind of setting and that is the hardest part. It makes it feel like constant change and upheaval for the residents there because there is very little consistency.

When it comes to the friendliness of the staff I gave them a 5 (my opinion - my Mom's opinion differs, but she has some paranoia as part of her dementia). For the meals and dining (my Mom's opinion, not enough variety, too much pepper, not enough comfort food, like mac & cheese). Based on the experience we have had with Heartis San Antonio we have recommended this community to families and we would continue to

The staff is very friendly, they all know her name, they recognize family when they visit; they create multiple forums for open communication should any issues arise or if they are considering any changes or if updates are needed. Mom is not one who likes to ask for help, but they have created an environment where she feels comfortable asking for help if she needs it. And if she has ever had any issues or problems in her apartment they are very attentive and address her needs in a timely manner.

Lyndale was a mixed bag. There are some wonderful people who work there, but as most facilities seem to be these days, they were often understaffed, especially at night. Sometimes the food was pretty good, but often it was problematic. For instance, one day they had chicken salad, and the pieces of chicken were so big that anyone with any kind of dental problem would not be able to eat it. And sometimes at night they didn't have enough people on staff to check on the residents in assisted living properly. But there were some really amazing people working there in the daytime that were very kind and caring towards my mom. Overall, my experience was more positive than negative

I would say do your research for what place best suits the needs. Nothing will ever be perfect but in all I've been pleased with decisions made and I think people are doing their best.
