Sagora Senior Living

We moved my husband's dad there in July. He just passed away on October 30. The place is awesome. We felt that he was very happy the last few months of his life living there. He had come to make friends and the people there go overboard to make sure that the residents are taken care of and that they are as happy as they can be. It is independent living but they have a company on site called Angel of Mercy that can help when/if needed. For example, we hired them to help with meds and laundry. They will do anything that you need them to do. It is an extra charge but very reasonable. My husband's elderly aunt is taking the apartment that his father vacated. It's that good a place that we want other family members to experience it too.

I really appreciate the help that I got from those at Senior Advisor. The place that we decided on was what we thought just a retirement living center. But they had just started a new program a few days earlier called Catered Living. The home care people that come in are very friendly and my mother just loves having them around! It's one less thing that I have to worry about.

Everyone at Aberdeen Heights was wonderful through the tour and set up stages. Even after Mom took a turn for the worse, they were supportive and helpful. When she died, all the staff was caring and helpful. I am sorry we won't be able to experience the care at Aberdeen, but I expect it is as well rounded and well planned as their entry process. I would recommend this facility very highly for anyone looking for assisted care for a loved one.

I couldn't be happier with this facility and have nothing negative to say about it. It is beautifully decorated inside and is clean and fresh, the building layout is easy to navigate, the facility is located in a lovely and safe residential neighborhood, but is convenient to businesses one might need to frequent for apartment supplies. I am also very impressed with the staff~~they are friendly and polite and take care of their duties with a smile. It can be a little difficult to get in touch with the director by phone because of her busy schedule, but I've seen her in action and know that she is very good with the residents and she pays attention to how and what they are doing. Staff turnover isn't high, and my parents, who have Alzheimer's and dementia, have adjusted now and tell me that they really like it there and are making friends. My favorite thing about this facility is the size of the apartments~~they are much roomier than most of the ones I saw at other facilities.

It's a 3 story, large facility that's more like a Las Vegas hotel. I think it's more appropriate for people under the age of 87 or 88. People who are more mobile and can take advantage of everything they have there. The apartments are beautiful and they have lovely courtyards with trees and foundtains and grass. They have water aerobics - there are a lot of amenities. If she was younger and more able we probably would have chosen them but she's not, she's 100.

They've been fine. I always think those places are too expensive but it's fine and comparable to other places. They do have activities but my dad rufuses to participate in them so I don't know much about them. They have a little gym in there and things like that. I wouldn't really change anything about it from what I've seen.

It seemed really nice - especially the pool - but it was a little more expensive than what we could afford and some other places that we saw.

My mom and I toured half a dozen places. Although my mom did not choose Pinecrest Place we were both very pleased with the community. Beautifully remodeled. Very friendly staff. One extra that wasn't a typical standard was the service of driving my mom to my house and picking her up at my house. What a great added benefit. While this was our second choice, it definitely isn't second rate by any means.

My mom will be moving in on August 1st so we haven't had any experience with the care services yet but they seem to be what we need. It looked like they had quite a few activities like music and going on shopping trips, movie night, games, and crafts. One thing we really like is that it has some outdoor space on the unit. My mom really wanted somewhere where she could sit and get some fresh air. There's pretty landscaping but not at all fake and a walkway around the whole facility. It's near Lake Waco. It reminded us of an old fashioned hotel and she liked that feel. It's charming and elegant, maybe a little tattered around the edges but still very nice. We thought the price was reasonable for what they had to offer. The unit my mother chose was just over $2000 a month.

The staff knows what they are doing and knows how to care for the elderly. They have activities going during the afternoons that get everyone involved. I chose this for my mother because it has the homey feeling and it is only one level so there are no steps or elevators. My mother says the cooking is like home. The staffs know everyones names and greet you by name basis.

This place feels like your grandmas living room. It’s homey and warm. Some of the space is dated and needs a refresh. The people are lovely. The outdoor space is gorgeous. Maintenance can be slow to respond. Activities can be canceled occasionally. Food is pretty good. My mom is very happy at Elison.

Overall experience is very good. Just need to motivate [name removed] to get involved and cooperate with the program. We would like to find out more about veterans benefits for facility payments

Exterior is a bit dated with color choice but interior is clean and comfortable looking. 1 bedroom room is adequate but small. May be due to layout.

The activity staff really does a great job of keeping them engaged. From just a game of Bingo( which is very popular) to having entertainment for them regularly. The staff is very nice and attentive. As for cleanliness, they keep the facility very clean inside and out while the meals are sometimes a miss for the most part the food is nutritious and good. They do offer a standby menu in case you might not like the menu for the day.

Staff and room are great but the food apparently has not been good according to my grandmother. Activities are great! Apparently they are having a residents meeting to address the food situation.

Staff is courteous and competent. No theft issues as I've had other places. Rooms are quite spacious and kept clean Food is pretty good Facility is very quiet and the staff is not boisterous at all Dining area is a bit smallish. Only complaint i have is trying to get get TV in wife's room hooked up to cable. F0r that reason I would rate the facility as 4 stars.

My mother has been a resident for a month, and we are trying to get her acclimated. It has taken some running around the facility to meet the various staff and alert them to her needs. I have only recently visited my mom at Lynridge.

My sister, age 91,has been at Berenity for 6 months now. She told me, "I would not want to be anywhere else" [name removed] was amazing! She was timely, efficient and a good listener.

Most everything is quite adequate as far as food, activities, and staff for the most part. One thing that is very disappointing is the layout of her apartment. It is not designed for a person in a wheelchair. She can not wheel up closely to the sink (no open space for her knees) and has to reach her arms out in order to use the faucet. It is even more difficult to use the toilet and shower. Barely any space to turn around. I believe all the apartments are designed in this way so that those with disabilities have a hard time maneuvering in their apartments.

The staff in the memory care facility are extremely caring and patient with the residents. They have numerous activities daily and also outings ( to a store, book store, etc) at least twice a month. The facility is clean - doesn't smell like some places do. I like the fact that I can stop by anytime (day or night) without having to call before. The staff in the entire facility are very cordial and helpful. It has been a great move for mom.
